Character AssassinsGeneral James Green, Oct. 17, 2011 “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets” (Lk. 6:26, KJV). ONE PASTOR ONCE SAID: “It is interesting how, in spite of all the warnings in Scripture against gossip, slander, and tale bearing, just how much stock we tend to place in people’s opinions. It is said that where there is smoke there is fire. However, the smoke may be no more than dust and hot air.” We can pretty much tell who is walking with Jesus by the way people react to them, especially in today’s “Politically Correct” world. If Jesus was here today, He would no doubt receive the same treatments, from the “religionists”, as He did back then…and so will His true followers. John Calvin once declared: “No greater injury can be inflicted upon men than to RUIN their reputation.” It has also been said that of all the members in the body, there is none so serviceable to Satan as the tongue! The apostle James wrote: “…the Tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature: and it is set on FIRE of HELL!” (Ja. 3:5, 6). Sins of speech include lying, gossip, false witness, false doctrine, slander, hateful words that are not true but are meant to kill!! On The Other Hand…JESUS TELLS US TO BE CAREFUL “when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the FALSE prophets” (Lk. 6:26). Pay attention to who is spoken well of these days. One mega-Church pastor especially, (from Texas) is well received and loved by the world and the media (which, is 99 percent hateful towards Biblical Christianity). This pastor is treated like Billy Graham of by-gone years—favorable coverage, praise, well received worldwide, hardly ever condemned over his compromise, his phony reporting of bad situations in other countries where there is severe persecution against God's true children, the list is long—yet, Billy boy was always praised and loved. So it is with our Texas boy who never, ever pin-points SIN, always has an up-beat positive message, avoids the SIN issue like the plague etc., etc. The world loves to hear that they are going to Heaven no matter how in the Hell they live. This pastor even prayed at the official appointment of the lesbian mayor of his city. Was Jesus wrong in telling us to BEWARE of such a slobbering love affair with the world? This is quite different from the way we have been treated for teaching / preaching God's Word. It is quite different from the way Jesus and His true followers were treated. If one dares to be “Biblically Correct” these days, WATCH-OUT—there are character assassins just waiting for you! Well, DAMN the torpedoes, full steam ahead! Enemies Within / WithoutONE EX-PRIME MINISTER OF AN AFRICAN NATION ONCE DECLARED: “We were never beaten by our enemies—we were betrayed by our friends.” This, my friends, is all too common among those who preach / teach God's Word without compromise, without a “pink” twist, and without hypocrisy. Another preacher once stated: “The more prominent you are in Christ’s service, the more certain are you to be the butt of calumny. I have long ago said ‘farewell’ to my character.” We’ve all heard Mark Twain’s great saying: “A lie can travel halfway across the world while truth is still getting its boots on!” While the world remains, without, the enemy of Truth, but today, we who love God's unadulterated Truths, face religious (more often than not) homosexual antagonists who are bent on silencing their opposition. Along with these LOST persons, we have the Emergent Church crazies to contend with. This ever growing anti-Christ phenomenon has launched a systematic and sustained full-scale war against any and all who oppose their ecclesiastical insanities—tyrants, terrorists, and traitors who manipulate and murder the Truth…bullying and condemning dedicated Christians who still hold to God's eternal Truths. Sadly, too often those who love the praise of the world fall victim to the assassin’s knife in the back, and the poison cup. If the assassins can’t get any smut on you, they manufacture it…arrange a GUILTY verdict and condemn the innocent to die. Paul the ApostleTHIS MAN WAS THE TARGET of character assassins many times, as Jesus was. “For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ” (Gal. 1:10). Seeking to please men has become a plague today. When we try to please the enemies of the Gospel, we lose favor with the Gospel creator Himself. Paul, in verse 9 “As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed” is refuting those (as we do have) who preach “another Gospel” (V. 8). Paul’s anathema was in no wise evil as some suppose, but was in defense of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A few MSS omit ὑμν (you) (v. 8) suggesting that his anathema rests upon preachers everywhere who denature his Gospel. The Gk. preposition παρά means “by the side of”, “beyond”, as in “parallel”. The legalist “gospel” is contrary (παρʹ ο῞) in the sense that it lies on a lower plane of religious experience, where the Law’s curse rests upon all who do not obey perfectly. Such a “gospel” leads Paul to repeat his anathema. Galatia (like America today!) was exposed to all sorts of religious / “spiritual” quacks and peddlers of specious gospels (esp. the homo/ Emergent ones), and the whole world was infested with religious racketeers (like the kind you see on T.V. etc) who knew how to make $$ by BEWITCHING the masses in an age of catastrophic social change and spiritual bewilderment. Hey, pay attention to today’s religious scene—what are you buying from these crazies?? TodayTODAY, IF ONE REMAINS “Biblically Correct” one becomes a target of character assassins. You’re DAMNED if you do what is right, and you’re DAMNED if you don’t. Cruel snobbery is a weapon that is used against God's true followers. Be also aware of subtle genteel-ism, the velvet noose of death. We can be “nice” and preach a “crossless Christianity” to please the backslidden Church rebels or a “Hell-less Christianity” to please the world…but if we insist on preaching the Cross / Hell, we place ourselves in harm’s way. Keeping the scandal of the cross alive is the very heart of the Gospel—but we will face the dire consequences of such insistence. A “theocracy” of the dead is insane. Preach the “living Christ” to a dead people and a “theocracy” will result. Jesus’ denunciation of the “religious” in Matt. 23 was ON TARGET—He was not trying to assassinate their character because they were in right standing with God, but because they were not! They did not “practice what they preached” as the old saying goes. But when they attacked His character, His works, His love, they did it out of evil and maliciousness. No good man has ever had a worse press; no Christian is so often scorned; so regularly attacked as those who refuse to compromise their faith. The attacks are incessant and cruel. Back to Luke 6:26VERSES 24, 25, AND 26 ALL BEGIN WITH WOE! Verse 24 deals with men who find complete satisfaction in this world’s riches / stuff and things; verse 25 deals with those who are content to satisfy only their earthly needs; verse 26 deals with those who compromise God's Word in order to be spoken well of—Hell’s Church!! Flattery in ancient times was the reward of “false prophets”, and universal acclaim should therefore lull no man into a sleep of death. When those of the world and those “religious” ones speak well of us we need to examine our lives. Not that we go about to make enemies, Jesus didn't, but standing whole-heartedly for Christ will bring separation—God's Word is the Sword that separates the precious from the vile, Truth from falsehood, good from evil. Ministry of MaliceTHIS COULD SUM UP MANY TODAY. There are those within the Church and outside the Church that are assassins for the cause of Satan. These bear false witness (see Ex. 20:16) against the righteous; The Holy Scriptures tell us, “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice, and deceit, hypocrisy, envy and slander of every kind” (1 Pet. 2:1). Along with the above sins we find idlers, gossips and busybodies. 1 Timothy 5:13 speaks of this, also 2 Thes. 3:6, also 1 Tim. 6:4. Yet we still find plenty of these character assassins that do nothing righteous, but only evil. I’m sure you’ve met some of these folks before. Suffer for ChristWE’RE WARNED IN 1 PET. 4:15 “If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal or as a meddler.” We’ve had certain people who did nothing but meddle in our affairs—always looking for something, ANYTHING to stop us from doing the Lord’s Work. We still have those waiting, watching our every move so they can move in for the kill!! They steal our time, murder the truth we preach, meddle in our personal lives—all done without shame. Against the Tongues of DetractorsWE DO NOT TAKE IT TO HEART if some people think ill of us, and say things about us which are not true. We live in a wicked generation, a generation of hatred for God's Truth. Evil words can wound, even kill. Nothing is so apt to give us uneasiness and trouble as false judgments passed upon us. But Gods' Word declares that those who walk uprightly WILL SUFFER PERSECUTIONS—as 2 Tim. 3:12 declares. The safest place to be in Christ is when we are not moved by either frown or favor. Biblically speaking, it is better to obey God rather than man. Yet too often, the flesh considers it a happiness to please men, and a misfortune to meet with their contempt. This is why we see church after church bowing to the world’s opinions, not God's. Stand or Flee?OUR TEST COMES SOONER: will we stand on God's side or flee from it when persecutions come? We can either fly into the storm or allow the storm to blow us here and there. When temptation to betray our Savior comes our way it must ever be resisted with firmness and constancy. God will allow all of us to be sorely pressed by the enemy, weighted down by the load of our miseries, as to leave us NO other means of escape except in Him, not the arm of flesh, but in Him, relying upon Him for grace and mercy.You see, the fewer resources we find within and without, the more should we be induced to seek them in Him. How else can our faith be tested, purified as gold? It is He!IT IS GOD WHO GIVES GRACE, mercy, and strength in the day of trouble. Wherefore, upon occasion of interior or exterior affliction / persecution, we must, in the first place, have recourse, have faith to stand and keep on standing. We must resign ourselves to His blessed will—and HIS will is to stand not fall. When those character assassins, those pathological antagonists strike, don’t let them get you down except on your knees. The enemy will use intimidation, terrorism in order to get us to betray our Lord. Some of these enemies may even be charming, yet full of HELL! Some pretend to be oh, so “spiritual”—we know some of these. Trust me, these are people with personality disorders, narcissistic souls who serve Satan, not God. They spin yarns, tell big and small lies, living on a very slippery slope of life. Acts 20:28, 29 tells us that SAVAGE WOLVES had infiltrated the early congregations and they were not sparing the flock. Wolves love lambs and sheep! Have you not noticed all this? A SINFUL Nation Loaded With INIQUITYGeneral James Green, Oct. 31, 2011 MY TITLE IS TAKEN FROM ISAIAH 1:4 —“Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For the Lord has spoken: I have nourished and brought up sons and have made them great and exalted, but they have rebelled against Me and broken away from Me. The ox [instinctively] knows his owner, and the donkey his master's crib, but Israel does not know or recognize Me [as Lord], My people do not consider or understand. Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with iniquity, offspring of evildoers, sons who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the Lord, they have despised and shown contempt and provoked the Holy One of Israel to anger, they have become utterly estranged (alienated). Why should you be stricken and punished any more [since it brings no correction]? You will revolt more and more. The whole head is sick, and the whole heart is faint (feeble, sick, and nauseated). From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness or health in [the nation's body]—but wounds and bruises and fresh and bleeding stripes; they have not been pressed out and closed up or bound up or softened with oil. [No one has troubled to seek a remedy.] [Because of your detestable disobedience] your country lies desolate, your cities are burned with fire; your land—strangers devour it in your very presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by aliens. And the Daughter of Zion [Jerusalem] is left like a [deserted] booth in a vineyard, like a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, like a besieged city [spared, but in the midst of desolation].Except the Lord of hosts had left us a very small remnant [of survivors], we should have been like Sodom, and we should have been like Gomorrah” (Isa. 1:2-9, Amp). As the judgments of God increase upon this SINFUL nation, LOADED with INIQUITY, more and more people are beginning to take notice that something is terribly wrong! Finally! Isaiah opens chapter one with a literary form of a traditional exordium, as exemplified in the opening verses of the early poems in Genesis 49; Deuteronomy 32; Judges 5. Just as in Amos 3:9 and Micah 6:2, the scandal of Israel’s rebellious behavior is published to the world, so here the hosts of Heaven (v. 2) and the earth’s inhabitants (v. 2) are called upon to bear witness to Israel’s base ingratitude and obdurate rebellion. FatherhoodISRAEL WAS GOD'S CHILDREN, albeit, rebellious children (see Hos. 11:1-4). The Lord was scolding them for rebelling against His Fatherhood; He speaks here as a Father deeply moved by grief and anger because His love and tender care have been rewarded by callous disregard and open defiance. The American Church is as ancient Israel (with some exceptions)—rebellious, distant (v. 3), sinful (v. 4), sick with sin (v. 5), putrid (v. 6), desolate (God's Spirit has departed from most churches / organizations called “Christian”; v. 7), like unto Sodom and Gomorrah (v. 9). You can thank your perverted Prez (Obama) for the belligerent and rebellious Homosexual Movement (GLBTQ), the vile filth that he has helped spread even unto small children…with the consent of many churches and organizations. Your “pink” darling is obsessed with what the Bible calls ABOMINATION!! We can also add IA unto GLBTQ: “I”= intersexual / inter-gendered and inner-trannie, and the “A”= asexual and allies—all considered “family only” behavior. Your “pink” Prez celebrates all this filth / perversion and is pushing now for the “queering elementary education” curriculum. So, your innocent children will learn about all this filth sooner or later, for Mr. “Pink” is making sure to eliminate ALL discrimination against the Homosexual Movement (HM). Well, will he finally burn the Word of God, since God discriminates against all the above?!!! Don’t put anything past these devils that run America. Ancient Israel got that far from God. Just the “gay” (whatever that means!) community alone has infiltrated the very centers of power in every area across America, not to mention many other wicked forces that HATE God, His Word, and His people. Loaded with IniquityYES! OH YES! Well, come to America, also known as Sodom and Gomorrah—the land of Socialist sickos, Islamic misogynists, terrorists with a skewed view of Christianity. America once knew the God of the Bible (although we can’t rightly declare that she was ever a “Christian nation”); the Bible was taught in the political camp, the family, and of course the Church. All has changed now…America has MANY gods / goddesses—Mary (which no Scripture ever tells us to “worship” her), many saints, Allah (which is NOT GOD of the Holy Scriptures, but a moon god”), Buddha, plenty of New Age and Native American gods / idols, the Roman Catholic Church, which worships and bows down before images, statues, icons, priests / popes and pagan fetishes, etc. The 9 Commandments of the N.T. are considered outdated. Murder (legalized abortion), theft (legalized theft = income tax) and every other Biblical sin has become normal in Sodom / Gomorrah / America. Both Protestants and Roman Catholics have unsaved / unholy preachers and priests doing the devil’s bidding for souls. Unsaved and unholy chaplains in congress and in the armed forces are in truth enemies of God and country. We have corrupt judges that take bribes, rule against morality, haters of God, and country. I shall not even dare to mention the corruption in the education system of this nation, it is just too depressing. All this, dear ones, is the direct result of God's people going a whoring after other gods, as did ancient Israel. Make Many Prayers“AND WHEN YOU SPREAD FORTH your hands [in prayer, imploring help], I will hide My eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood!” (Isa. 1:15, Amp). Pills for America’s Ills?IF WE’RE TALKING PHARMACEUTICAL, NO! If we’re talking spiritual, yes! America’s ills can be healed by God's gos-pill (gospel), the very thing America has trashed. “What is to be done, what could we do to get well?” Mr. America, Mrs. America, Miss America asks.“This is your remedy,” says the LORD. Friends, it is not politics per se that has brought on this national sickness, it is a spiritual default, a national broken covenant that is the culprit. It seems to be taken for granted, by all these interrogative philosophers, that there is some “thing”, or handful of “things”, which could be done; some magical act of congress, “remedial measure”, or the like, which could be passed whereby this social malady could come to an end. Well, may I suggest a “spiritual measure”—National REPENTANCE!! Not a half-hearted repentance but a genuine TURNING AWAY from known SIN / SINS and turning unto Jesus Christ the Lord. The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is what will cure America’s ills. And don’t give me all the excuses that it was the Gospel that brought on this national malady. God blesses the humble, the upright, not the proud and perverted. People often accuse us here of “telling us the evil,” but never “tell us how to be cured!”. This is a lie. We have done both. It is you who doesn’t listen or repent. Heal Us!GOD IS WANTING TO but you’ve got to take His medicine. Read the Bible, see if both causes and curses are not from Genesis to Revelation. America can’t be cured of her miseries while hanging onto her mischiefs!! America has no such pharmacopoeias; God has! The inner foundation of national health can’t flow when clogged by national filth. Get serious folks, only by drinking from the fountain-of-Life, God's Sacred Scriptures / Spirit will the purging of putridness be accomplished. America is indeed SICK. Her bloated swollen, foul existence is proof. You’re not going to get well by calling the Great Physician (Jesus) a fraud, a quack. NO!! Our ministers / priests / politicians are the frauds and quacks. Judge for yourselves if their diagnosis is correct—“ALL IS WELL!”, they exclaim. But not all is well. America has gone to HELL!! Vain jargon in favor of the palpably unjust will then abridge itself within limits. Let absurdity die!! Let the religious and political jackasses weep! Enough talk. Let’s see some walk. Let’s hear a difference between jargon and speech. Let us discern between the infinite and the infernal. Soul-lessAMERICA’S SOUL HAS BEEN SUCKED OUT BY DEMONS! Descend into her inner man, and see if there be any clear, living, holy soul there. Till then there can be nothing done. Nothing! America must, if possible, resuscitate some soul and conscience, exchange their dilettantisms (amateurish pursuit of science, arts, literature) for pursuit of God's Will, Word and Way. Seek to exchange the dead hearts of stone for living hearts aflame for God, our creator. Grace, dear ones, can go a long way if we will will our wills to obey. Nothing will save America but America herself thru heart repentance. Not any magic pill shall save her. Quacks and Queers only help to DAMN America’s worthless soul. Voices, voices…all putting forth “remedies”, their “blasphemies”, their “profanities”…the dumb, deceived, and damned masses of America, with open mouths / ears swallow these “remedial pills”. Cured? HA! Cursed! Pray-Pray-PrayI PRAY A LOT, but I direct my praise Heavenward, not earthward, as do the duped masses here in America. Isaiah writes in 1:15 “And when you spread forth your hands [in prayer, imploring help], I will hide My eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood!” “Ye make MANY prayers.” Oh those backslidden Israelites prayed alright, but because of their rebellion on God, God said, “I will not hear.” Their hands were full of blood—America, how many pre-born have you MURDERED?!!! How many souls have you MURDERED in political religious manufactured wars?...both of your own and those of the “enemy”? Blood! Blood! Blood! America, at this time, in some places, reaches up to heaven, hands stretched towards God ALL COVERED with BLOOD! We say it’s for “God and Country”. Really? Unlike Lady Macbeth, the temple worshipers are not conscious of their condition. Not that all those condemned had actually committed murder; the prophets were brutally frank in holding men responsible for the ultimate consequences of their acts and attitudes (see Amos 4:1, 2; Mic. 3:1-3). The LORD was saying “when you spread forth your hands, I will hide My eyes from you” (1:15 RSV). Literally, “your palms”, in the gesture of petition. Hey, America, until you wash your hands of perversions, murders, thefts etc. don’t expect God to grant your petition, “Let us prosper once again”. Until Then…UNTIL AMERICA BATHES herself, like washing off the unlawful sex scum, removing the evils of every sort (lit. “your crimes”, v.16), God will not help this God forsaken nation. Until America stops playing the whore, being perturbed at His prohibitions, America will grow worse. And you, hypocritical Church, you are filthy thru and thru…your oozing filth testifies against you…your silence against all what I write (with some exceptions, thank God), only promotes more iniquity. Men become mere victims of greed, corruption, cruelty because you are afraid to lift up your ecclesiastical voice, “cry aloud, spare not, lift up your voice like a trumpet and declare to My people their transgressions, and to the house of Jacob their sins!” (Isa. 5:1). Passivity in the face of evil means complicity in evil. What God said thru Isaiah—if I can use some modern terms here—came BRUTALLY, HATEFULLY, INTOLERANTLY, BIASLY to the very “religious” ancient Jews and has a disquieting relevance to the moral neutrality of Church, State, and Family today. This nation has grown so distant from God that she applauds evil workers (and presidents), passing laws that now allow open nudity (like San Francisco, CA.), same-sex marriage, abortion and dozens of other ideophrenias of the flesh. There remains a DEEP inconsistency between the faith which America professes in politics / religion, and the ethical standards to which she consents in her handling of social / religious life and her relations with others. Seek Judgment?THAT’S WHAT ISAIAH 1:17 says: “Learn to do well; seek judgment…” (KJV). “Learn (as they have not yet done, the real requirement of the service of God) to do what is good” (RSV). “Seek (as you seek God Himself) justice,” the rule of right. It would be well with America if she would do this. If this nation does not turn from its wicked doings, God will continue to punish the land and the inhabitants. The Bible makes it clear that death is the penalty for our sin (see Romans ). The Bible also teaches that individual suffering is not always correlated with a particular sin by an individual. We are promised hardships and suffering in God's service—God does not PUNISH US for this; we are PUNISHED for our sins, individually or nationally. Job, called a righteous man by God, suffered greatly (although Job did need some inner cleansings). America’s suffering and death is because of her committed sins, so repentance is the remedy. The Gos-PillWE ALL INHERIT THIS PROPENSITY to evil because of our descent from Adam. God in His mercy, however, stepped into history in the person of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1-14). He became a man so He could suffer death (the penalty for sin) on a cross, praying for the sins of His people (it also means that God Himself can personally empathize with suffering, since He has experienced it). He also rose from the dead, showing he had ultimate power—power over death. Those who put their faith and trust in Christ as their Savior can spend eternity with the Lord in a place where there will be no more death (Revelation 21:4). But the Bible warns that those who reject Christ will taste a “second death”—eternal separation from God (Revelation 21:8). Yet God does not delight in the death of the wicked. (Ezekiel 33:11). “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.” To refuse to repent and obey God's eternal laws is personal and national suicide. These verses are spoken by the Judge (God) to the guilty (Israel) who stands accused. God is just and fair, even patient. The guilt of Israel (as America) was certain, but they will receive from the Judge a second chance. Israel was on probation and must make her own decision and choose her fate—life or death! America, dear ones, is on trial. Verse 18-20 contains four conditional sentences, the first pair in synonymous parallelism (v. 18bc), the scene in antithetical parallelism (vv. 19-20). The second pair is clearly the Lord’s statement of the case, and appears to be a rejoinder. The first pair, then, is the claim of the accursed as summed up by the Judge, speaking in scorn. To “reason together” (v. 18a) means “argue”, “correct one another”; each is to state his / her case, as at a trial. The same those who teach v.18 as “unconditional love” is wrong—a free will choice comes into play here; If anyone in Israel can argue their innocence (if they really are so), they will be acquitted by the just Judge; if not, they must either repent of their iniquity and live, or refuse and die in their sins. God is not going to overlook their (or our) hypocrisy, nor condone glaring sin. This is the way America is approaching God. In fact, America has put God Himself on trial for being cruel, unloving, intolerant, bigoted, biased etc. The modern interpretation of v. 18 as an unconditional promise of forgiveness is totally out of step with the prophets, Jesus, and the N.T. authors. No repentance, no forgiveness, period!!I know that emotional evangelistic sermons on Isa. 1:18 have led the guilty to a false security in Christ. Although the Bible seems to point to unconditionalism, a popular “grace to redeeming love” theme, yet repentance is in order before forgiveness. The N.T., with the cross of Christ as its message, does not declare unconditional forgiveness. The assurance of grace / mercy must always be proceeded by a sinner’s cry for mercy. Forgiveness is the divine possibility. It is only “IF we confess our sins,” that “He is faithful and just to forgive us” (1 Jn. 1:9). (Request my 20 part teaching, We Are Called.) Verse 19 brings in that 2 lettered word “IF”. Friends, our scarlet sins cannot be white as snow until we see ourselves as God sees us—filthy!!...and see what we have done—evil!! The End?AND WHEN GOD HAD THUS CONFRONTED his peculiar people with the O.T. “gos-pill”, this Word of God whose grace and mercy is greater than His wrath, the offering of forgiveness and a second chance to live—when He has done that, Isaiah seals his message with the authority of the All Mighty God—God's ultimatum: “For the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it” (V. 20). We find this grace / mercy / love in the N.T. in John 3:16. We each have a part to play in our own redemption, that of confessing our guilt, repenting of our sin / sins, God's redeeming love can be ours. Faith and FreedomGeneral James Green, Nov. 7, 2011 OH, HOW AMERICANS LOVE THEIR FREEDOM! This is more dear to them than faith. But let me tell you a little secret; freedom comes with a price. True freedom depends upon our faith in God and service unto Him. Haven’t you noticed how over the years freedom of speech, press, assembly etc. have become more and more restricted? While the government promises to uphold the people’s freedoms, the more it finds a way to undermine it. And the more this nation spouts PEACE and SAFETY, the more she goes to WAR!...making it harder and harder for peace and safety to be real. Desire for Peace / Safety / FreedomGOD, AND I MEAN GOD OF THE SACRED SCRIPTURES, made peace, safety, and freedom available here in America because the majority of people sought it. Sure, there were opportunists (of faith) that sought for their own agendas to become realized—which, too many times, included theft, murder (like that of the Native peoples!), but on the other hand there were those of faith that wanted America to be a city set upon a hill for all the world’s peoples to partake of, both spiritually and physically. There was a basic honesty in this land that operated beyond partisan politics (after America became settled), but there was and still is a basic ignorance that operates. Then as now, most people trusted the government more and more and turned more and more away from God and His Sacred Scriptures. Thusly the U.S. Gov. replaced God, His Word, and His Son Jesus, and the peoples began to look to the NEW god for peace, safety, and freedom. Called, But Refused!HAVING THE SACRED SCRIPTURES AS OUR RULE BOOK, the Holy Spirit as our guide / shield, having Jesus as our Savior, healer, deliverer, companion, America prospered. It was because of these and not in spite of them, that America became known as a “godly country”. But evil men / women in politics (and in religion) wanted the “God” factor to be either reinterpreted or banished altogether. This “revolution” continues as I now write. “Political Correctness” and “Corporate Greed” is turning America into a godless society (with dozens and dozens of other skewed and ideophrenia madness). Now America has become a sick and sleazy schizophrenic nation. But Jesus can heal her if America would only REPENT of her “trillions” of sins! John 8:32“AND YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, and the truth shall make you free.” Jesus had, in verse 31, told the believing Jews, “If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed.” Here is America’s problem: she has not CONTINUED in the Word of God / Jesus. Politicians use God's / Jesus’ name in vain, they lie like demons and deceive the people…and the preachers aren’t much better these days. Now, it is ONLY as we CONTINUE in His Word that we (America) will have true freedom, safety and peace. The “truth” (v. 32) Jesus spoke of was not that of mere humanistic knowledge, for many things in this sphere are “true”; He was speaking of being “free” from SIN, destruction, and Satan’s slavery / bondages. Jesus was sent as a sacrificial lamb in order that the enslaved human race could be FREE! The Holy Scriptures testify to this fact. I don’t have to quote tons of Scripture to you, for most Americans have heard the “Good News”. Saving “truth” is revealed only from God “by His Spirit”, as 1 Cor. 2:10 declares, and does not originate from any person or from human wisdom (see 1 Cor. 2:12, 13). It is a GROSS SIN to put our trust in men / women / government rather than in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. But this is exactly what America has done. See the effects? Bondage, fear, oppression, etc. “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” (v. 36). The Words found in the Bible are true! The unsaved (non-Christian) is a SLAVE to SIN, being lawless (as v. 34 states and also Romans 6:17-20). Haven’t you noticed just how lawless America is getting? Things that used to be illegal have now become legal—the latest and one of the most VILE SINS is that of homosexuality, same-sex marriage more specifically. With this comes plagues / diseases of every sort. Does this GROSS SIN bless America? NO! Slaves to SINWHILE AMERICA PRAISES her new found sins (GLBTQ sins in particular), God's judgments are looming over this nation. Don’t be fooled, dear Americans, this nation WILL experience God's displeasure. The more she abandons godly laws / restraints, the more SEVERE the judgments. Wait and see!! New LawGROWN TIRED OF GOD'S LAWS, in this moment in human history we’re seeing the formation, development, and implement of a new kind of consciousness (it’s been slowly but surely!) in which sin is not the enemy of God. This new faith is rooted and grounded in Satan. This “new faith”, they tell us, is not destroying our Christian faith, but deepens it. Really? Tell me why God is ANGRY with America then? NO one can deny this at this time. God Spoke…AS I WAS WRITING THIS ARTICLE, the Spirit spoke to us and said that God's “severe” judgments, were being deferred, waiting to see if America will repent. Personally, I don’t think so, only a very small minority sees what I’m writing about. If America fails, she will know what pain and slavery is all about. God will strip away all freedoms, peace, and safety just like this nation has stripped away His laws and judgments. The people of this nation will be stripped of all their “freedoms”, even the freedom to abuse God. Freedom from slavery of sin is one sure criterion by which all professing believers may test and prove whether they have God's favor and power. From all accounts, Church, State, and family have no power over sin (with a few exceptions of course). While this obnoxious nation cries “We’re free!” the Truth is, she is utterly enslaved to sinful burning passions, not godly, but satanically. Murder in the First Degree!WE ALL KNOW that this nation MURDERS her unborn without remorse or shame. Thank you, U.S. Government, for granting this!! Worse yet, dear ones, is the MURDERING of God's TRUTH!! Shall not America be held accountable for this? Yes! America will prove more vulnerable than any other society if she totally abandons the pursuit of justice, for this nation once knew and adhered to God's laws (at least to a great extent, more so than other countries). But, as America has become a “melting pot” of every nation under the sun, she also has taken to her breast their gods / goddesses / religions / ideals etc., thereby polluting her. Thusly, the ERUPTION of CORRUPTION. America has been sustained by a unique faith in God, in freedom, in justice, in responsibility, in the which laws which should safeguard her people, is now being trashed for other gods. So, still believe that God will continue to bless America; true, blessed with cursings! So, accustomed are we to this idea—God's never-ending blessing / protection—this nation does not realize the sheer audacity of God blessing sin and sinners. Get ready for the worst nightmare. I Still Believe…GOD IS THE CROWN of the universe, the ultimate power that allows and disallows. I still believe that people or nations whose God is God will have peace and safety, even if it is altogether inner and not outward. America was basically built upon the Christian faith, not Islam, not Judaism, not Buddhism or any other “ISM”, but upon the Christian principle. But, sadly, godly faith, over the last few centuries, has become a materialistic faith, faith in achievements, wealth, might (all allowed by God of course), whereby Biblical faith was pushed into the background only to be used when necessary. Many men / women of the West believed in their high destiny and in His power to mold America into a divine society whereby all could be under God's blessings. Well, we know this happened to a certain extent, but, as we also know, greed, pride, rebellion etc. took the reins of things and guided America into what she is today—BACKSLID WHORE! The human heart has both appetites and despairs which rational and national codes alone are UNABLE to guide and control. So, we see this once “great” nation faltering, ready to crash because she has thrown away her partner, the Lord Jesus Christ. Men are not happy, but lonely. They are not self-sufficient / controlled. Men today rebel against meaninglessness, and are haunted by despair, depression, death. Having denied dedication, consecration, devotion to the ALL mighty God, life has become empty, futile…inevitably, “We reap what we’ve sown”. Here Is Truth!CHRISTIANITY IS NOT ABOLISHED by the “abolition” of God; the religion of Caesar takes its place. And we can all see just how wonderful Caesar takes care of his people, can’t we? And since, for a remnant, the need to worship God is satisfied. On the other hand, the need to worship is satisfied in hubris, in the worship of the “self”. The need to look for a “new god” can always be certain of finding one. The hunger for god-like leadership (like your present Prez, Obama “the messiah”), is not very filling as thought. The “give us a king” (as did ancient Israel cry unto the Lord over Prophets of God) has become irresistible, even to the point of national ruin! (not to say that Obama is the only one the people desired as king). Stupid Americans!WHO CAN DENY THE TRUTH and reality that because of Christianity the possibilities of freedom were birthed and grown. And, even the most stupid must confront the fact that any totalitarian government (e.g., in its extremist form is all too ready to take over where God's rule once resided. And demons are all too happy to occupy the now empty soul where once the Spirit dwelt. Who do we serve? What source can we draw strength from? To what justice can man appeal beyond the dictates of the state? You who want Socialism / Communism / Islam or any other “power”, do you really believe that you’ll have any rights?...except to work for the system and DIE! Faith and FreedomBOTH ARE NOT A MATTER OF CONVENIENCE, but a matter of life VS death, both intrinsically and extrinsically. Faith and godly freedom will not be restored in America because the people believe it to be only for the religious—God's covering and blessing, dear ones, is for all.“That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matt. 5:45).True to God's nature—which consists of both blessing and cursing—His love is to be extended to enemies and persecutors, for such is His way of dealing with those who hate, insult, neglect Him. On the other hand, His love and patience runs its course and His wrath and cursing takes over. This is what He spoke to us this morning. He is waiting to see if America will repent, for He has withdrawn His blessings to a degree because of the sin issue. Actually, God cares for His creation, too bad we don’t care for our Creator. Jesus made it known (Matt. 5:45) that He is fully conscious of the misfortunes in the world, the hate and evil, He raises no question whether rain and sunshine are not sometimes destructive also; floods and drought can be a curse. Are You Free?WHAT IS THE FRUIT OF YOUR FREEDOM? Wherein is it enjoyed? One may enjoy freedom outwardly (like Americans once did!) but be in bondage, yea, slavery inwardly. A Christian may be liberated from the “world” and from “self” by giving their life totally and wholly to Christ. In stoic teaching freedom is man’s control over his / her own souls. The N.T. however, realizes—generally speaking—that even in the retreat into inwardness man / woman is not free. The N.T. makes it evident that freedom is not absent because there is inadequate control of existence but because there is no control of it at all, and therefore no “self-dominion”. It realizes that existence is threatened by itself and not by something outside; it realizes that it is itself deficient, with all that it does. Man attains to “self-control” by letting himself be controlled—this is done by the Power of God within. Freedom from sin (Rom. 6:18-23; Jn. 8:31-36), from the Law (Rom. 7:3; 8:2; Gal. 2:4; 4:21-31; 5:1, 13), and from death (Rom. 6:21; 8:21) is what the Christian life is all about. How many of you are enslaved by the fruits of the flesh (Gal. 5)? Stand Fast!“STAND FAST THEREFORE in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” (Gal. 5:1, KJV). The freedom “to which Christ has made us free, to which you are called” (v. 13), which we “have in Christ Jesus” (Gal. 2:4), is concretely the freedom from the necessity of circumcision for justification before God. Taking this deeper and into the N.T. living, we are told that we need, not physical circumcision but circumcision of the heart—something that MOST “Christians” avoid like the plague. Paul was telling his readers that the Law was bondage (non-freedom) but he also points to Christ, the Christian life, can be free IF we allow the Spirit to work in our lives. Freedom from much of the O.T. Law (not all) means freedom from the moralism which one tries to do on his / her own. Legal demands couldn’t be perfectly done. It is Christ that works the “will” and “do” in us, not the Law. Liberty“NOW THE LORD IS THAT SPIRIT: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Cor. 3:17, KJV).The freedom which comes thru Christ (Gal. 5:1) is, first and foremost, LIBERATION from condemnation and SLAVERY of sin (vv. 7-9; Rom. 6:6, 14; 8:2; Eph. 4:22-24; Col. 3:9, 10) and the whole dominion of Satan (see Acts 26:18; Col. 1:13; 1 Pet. 5:8). Here in lies the folly of America—she thinks she is free but in reality she is in slavery to all manner of sin. Even the Church has become enslaved to this 3-letter word SIN. But true liberation / freedom begins with the sinner confessing / repenting / forsaking his / her sins and asking Jesus to come into their lives…to take up LORDSHIP residence. This UNION spells FREEDOM (see Acts 4:12 and Eph. 1:7) this dear ones, is REGENERATIVE LIBERATION! Liberation from inner bondages / addictions etc. is maintained thru the Spirit’s continued indwelling and the believer’s obedience (see Rom. 8:1; Gal. 5:18; Jn. 15:1-11). But you see, so many, TOO MANY believers don’t “fight the good fight of faith” (1 Tim. 6:12) in order to remain FREE. They grow lazy, hence, bondages plague them in body-mind-heart. Free to be Free?THIS HAS BECOME THE SIN OF THE AGE—free to be free to do whatever. Christ did not free us (by buying us as slaves!) so we could “do our own thing” and call it “Christian”. Look at today’s believers—you can’t tell them apart from the world’s people; they are addicted, enslaved to all manner of passions / lusts / materialisms etc. Christian freedom must never be used as a pretext for evil or as a rationale for conflict (see James 4:1, 2; 1 Pet. 2:16-23). Christ set us free to be free to follow Him and “do His thing” (see 1 Thes. 1:9)…to follow in the way of righteousness, e.g., right living (see Rom. 6:1). If you may, we are Christ’s love slaves (Rom. 1:1; 1 Cor. 7:22; Phil 1:1), living, not for ourselves, but living by grace unto God (Rom. 5:21; 6:10-13). Death MarchTHE “SELF-SEEKING” EXISTENCE which goes astray in sin, leads finally to death, e.g., eternal separation from God. Look at America today—MARCHING headlong into HELL’S FIRE that will never be quenched. Awful! Why do you want to die? So, what have I said? Christ, in a willing Spirit, offered Himself up in substitutionary death for lost sinners. Now tell me, what other religious or political leader has done this? NONE! Our freedom, then, is not an existential return to the basis of individual existence, the soul. It is the event of a historical life RADICALLY and REVOLUTIONALLY sacrificed for others—“Go ye into ALL the world and make disciples.” is our marching orders (Matt. 28:19). We are “saved to serve”. The Son makes us free (Jn. 8:36). The Son who achieved His exaltation in the surrender of His own claim to life. Remember This…THE LOVE OF GOD / JESUS as enacted once for all in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ the Lord, raises upon us, in the Spirit, the claim that we should obediently recognize it as what it is, namely, the act of divine life, accomplished for us, and eternally sustaining us. If we open our lives to this incursion of the Spirit, of the act of God in Jesus Christ, there takes place in Them (the Father, Son, Holy Spirit) the grounding of our lives in the realized love of the Savior…in the Spirit of the freedom of Christ, there arises our personal freedom—free to follow Him, free to do His will, free to love beyond our selfishness. Romans 6:22“BUT NOW BEING MADE FREE FROM SIN, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.”Works done in Christian freedom stem intrinsically from fruitfulness in Spirit. Sadly, too many do not cultivate fruitfulness, hence, works of the flesh. So, faith can lead one to material achievements (like we see in today’s contemporary Church) or to spiritual achievements (like what is so terribly missing in the Church!). Men work hard at establishing a better environment, better buildings etc., but fail to build up their inner environment which is overrun with weeds. The inner building of the soul is deteriorating. Hence, men have become parsimonious, that is miserly, when it comes to spending time on repair and upkeep, spiritually speaking. The penurious state of affairs here in America is appalling. The loss of peace, faith, and freedom is not God's fault: IT IS YOURS! Sloth, my friends, has become a most potent weapon against Western society—too lazy to be kept out of hell! Days Gone ByA PASSION FOR “TRUTH” was generally held to be among mankind’s noblest aspirations. HA! Today it is falsehoods. The basic belief today among the churchites is “we’re going to Heaven no matter how in the Hell we live!” Wherever the pure message of God's love and acceptance in Jesus Christ has been shared, people have raised the same objection: “But you’re giving people a license to sin.” Actually, I have noticed that people are sinning quite well without a license, but that is beside the point. It’s not a new question; Paul faced it many times. In fact, he raised it himself in his letter to the Romans, knowing as he did what was going through people’s minds as they listened to his explanation of the Gospel: “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?...What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace?” (Romans 6:1, 15). In both cases his answer is “By no means!” It’s as if he were saying, “What an absurd question!” And it is an absurd question when you understand the love and grace of God and know about Christ living in you. Obsessed!AMERICANS (and the world in general) ARE OBSESSED WITH SIN! Sexing, drinking, drugging, lying, stealing, murdering—the list goes up to heaven…and yet, Americans get outraged at people like me for telling them there is a pay day someday. That day, my friends, has arrived. The real goal for the born again believer is to know “the only true God, and Jesus Christ…” (Jn. 17:3). We can’t fully know them while we’re eating off the vile table of the world. We should be obsessed with seeking to know and serve our Lord. But, you see, Americans—both saved and unsaved—are like the hypocrites Jesus pronounced WOE! upon:“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence…You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness” (Matthew 23:25, 27, 28). These same “religious” hypocrites were the same ones who crucified our Lord. Try to preach separation, dedication, consecration in today’s worldly Church, while they will toss you out on your butts. The hypocrisy of those legalists (who added plenty of “their” invented laws) didn't want to repent. No sir! They couldn’t care less about doing that. They were obligated to defend their hypocritical ways of life. Job security, dear ones, job security was at stake. Are You Weary?“COME TO ME, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30). Ah, rest for our souls! This is what Americans are searching for…in the wrong places. IT is found in confession and repentance. True, Biblical Christianity is not “pie-in-the-sky” stuff, it is real—Jesus introduced it centuries ago: “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It [the “grace of God”!] teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope-the glorious appearing of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:11-13). The grace and love of God is the true motivation for the Christian life. Filled With What?I CAN TELL YOU FOR A FACT, America is full of crap! I mean this. I believe this. But we’re to be filled with the Holy Spirit, not “spirits” of the damned. Americans are obsessed with seeking after wisdom of the ancients (not Bible ones, either), seeking to be empowered with power (even if in the form of devils!). The apostle Paul explains:“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power….to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:17-19). This should be our quest—our “vision quest”. Without Laws?NO! CHRISTIANITY STILL HAS LAWS. When the Bible says we aren’t under the law any more, it doesn’t mean lawlessness / standard-less—we are under a higher law, a higher standard, called in Scripture as “the law of Christ” (Gal. 6:2) and “the law of liberty” (James 1:25). Under grace, God says to us through the apostle Paul:“You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Galatians 5:13, 14). And so, here we go. And loving our neighbor does in no way mean loving their sin / sins. It is being taught today that we’re to accept and love the practicing homosexual / lesbian / bisexual / transgender / queer etc. The Bible never hints at such a thing—we’re to love them and others enough to share God's Word with them; His Word condemns unlawful sex acts, both homo and hetero. Our duty as Christians under command is to preach and teach God's Word, not compromise His standards, laws, but to compel men and women to surrender their damned lives unto Him. We serve one another by telling them Biblical Truths, not “politically correct” crap! The overweening spirit today is to make up our own rules for behavior. Cataclysmic Judgments

Cataclysmic JudgmentsGeneral James Green, Nov. 14, 2011 NEEDLESS TO SAY, after the great earthquake and tsunami (Dec. 2004), men are seriously debating whether it was a judgment or just a happenstance. The LORD has been telling us for several years now that He was going to alter the earth and bring severe weather changes world-wide. This cataclysmic event did not surprise us, neither will greater ones, yet to come, shock us. If one dares to read the recorded messages we print on Words of the Spirit, you’ll soon realize that God IS BRINGING HIS JUDGMENTS UPON THE SONS OF MEN…because of their sin! The dynamic quake and tidal wave that killed so many is letting men, in their pride, KNOW that God, with one swipe of His hand, can destroy instantly. This cosmic event moved the tectonic plates permanently! This means that other places all over the world will be affected permanently. This awesome and tremendously powerful shift not only caused the water to rise with great force and speed, but brought about physical changes that will be remembered. The axis of God's earth was moved slightly as the tectonic plates shifted into a new position. Islands disappeared, atomic clocks set back—God does work in time among the sons of men. One writer states that “all geography books, maps, and globes are now forever inaccurate!” The tsunami had more than the force of an atomic bomb at several locations, causing many islands in the Bay of Bengal to be eradicated. Also towns and villages and certain cities on existing islands and coastal areas were completely erased from sight. Friends, man is no match for the Almighty God. Other islands and parts of coastal areas have been drastically re-shaped. The large island of Sumatra which sits on the Burma plate was moved several feet, the experts tell us. Of course the after affects will cause many more deaths and the cost to rebuild will break certain countries. We do live in an apocalyptic time—should not we fear the LORD more and more? Cities, towns, and villages that were left standing—the infrastructure is seriously damaged, unsafe for living. This, of course, causes hundreds of thousands to wander and look for safety—our India team near the coast tells us that thousands are looking for food and shelter. God has told us here that His misery for the sons of men is only the beginning. The calamity in the Indian Ocean and surrounding nations is only a foretaste. Psalm 89:8, 9 tells us “O LORD…you rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, you still them.” God can work for or against the people—for a blessing or a curse! Nature is subject to God's command. Even Jesus, in Luke 8:24, rebuked the wind and the raging waves in order to save His disciples. I believe that judgments can be for purifying and refinement purposes (if God does not spare), punishments are to bring men and nations back to God. Romans 8:20 tells us that “the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope.” You see, when God's first created humans disobeyed His command and fell into sin and bondage to sin, the whole natural creation suffered a “fall”. So we must learn to live among “fallen” men upon a “fallen” earth. The interdependence of the different parts of God's world is so real that man’s recklessness and rebellion result in the creation being subjected to futility. Judgment is not futility only, it offers equally a ground of hope—to repent of our rebellion against the LORD God. The rest of creation was bound up with man’s destiny, not of its own choice, but by God's will, who subjected it in hope. When mankind finds deliverance from bondage of sin and enters into the glorious liberty (freedom) of the children of God, and some day that will come to pass, nature will also experience in her own way a parallel emancipation. Since the earth was cursed for man’s sake, so shall she be blessed for good in man’s redemption. But in the meantime, God's judgments will be poured out. We will continue to see the pathos of nature along with the pathos of mankind. We cannot question the fact why God cursed the earth because of what man did upon it, we simply must observe and accept this fact. You see, the earth decays as does mankind. But there is a bright future ahead for both mankind and nature—a redemption and resurrection in eternal life (if you are saved by the blood of Jesus!), and a cosmic redemption, a new heaven and a new earth. We all alike, Christian and pagan, suffer in this world. Christians also die in natural disasters, but God's wrath is not directed towards them if they are living upright. This is why it is so very important for as to be ready to meet our Creator if and when our time comes to die. Death, to the upright in heart, is merely a door to eternal paradise. But for the wicked, eternal damnation—separation from the light, love, and life of their Creator. How sorrowful. Babylonian Christians too often interfere with God's judgments. The People Turneth Not Unto HimGeneral James Green, Nov. 14, 2011 “Yet the people turn not to Him Who smote them, neither do they seek [inquire for or require as their vital need] the Lord of hosts” (Isa 9:13, AMP). HERE WE ARE ONCE AGAIN looking at rebellious ancient Israel—judgment that will (did!) come upon her for her stubborn refusal to learn her lesson; when her leaders and people had persisted in their folly and had brought RUIN upon themselves and also the innocent. Isaiah the ProphetISAIAH 1:1 TELLS US that Isaiah prophesied in the reigns of 4 kings of Judah—Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah—and from 6:1 we learn further that his call to the prophetic office took place in the last year of Uzziah’s reign. Isaiah had the unpleasant duty of speaking for God to God's SINNING and REBELLIOUS people. God used the phrase “this people”—the phrase is indignant—in referrng to His own people. The city of integrity had become a harlot among cities (1:21), as the American Church is today. Sovereign holiness and human sin could only mean one thing—disaster! It would do the clergy of today, and their people, good to re-read their Bibles. For a people who are UNCLEAN (on purpose!), and choose to remain so, there can be no alternative but judgment. You see, the working of God's moral law is inexorable (see 1:18-20). Isaiah wrote that there was a day coming when the pride and rebellion, which is idolatry, will be cast down utterly before the TERROR of the Most High God, (see 2:9-22). The Lord has told us here that “pride” and “rebellion” are America’s two ruling (demonic) forces. And anyone who thinks God will overlook this is a fool! America is yet to be TERRORIZED by God!! TransformationTHE TRANSFORMATION from warning / threat to promise depends on faith, obedience; If Israel repented she would be spared, if not, punishment. The movement of events depends upon both God and man. The Assyrians, as instruments / weapons of divine chastisement, can go only so far and no farther (10:12-17). You see, the LORD is both our judge and our defender (see 14:24-27; 31:5). Isaiah was God's mouthpiece to WARN His people. NO one can read the language of the Prophet’s oracles without hearing in them the Word of God who sent them to speak…unless one drowns out his / her consciences. Jesus dealt with false prophets in Matt. 7:15-20; the Holy Spirit took up where Jesus left off—using men / women to be God's mouthpiece for both blessing and judgment. Currently this land is overrun with fakes and snakes who proclaim “All is well”, but God's true ones proclaim “All will be Hell if repentance is not forthcoming.” Politics / ReligionTREASON TO COUNTRY and disloyalty to God is paramount today. Warning both the Church and the pagan is not popular. Warning the people about those behind all this moral decay—in politics and in religion—what their agenda is, and what we should do about it, falls on deaf ears. Matt. 13:25 says, “WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING, the enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat.” Now, dear ones, take a good look at the beautiful crop of tares / weeds! WAR! ENEMY!THIS IS WHAT THE WORLD is all about…unfortunately! But when anyone tries to get people educated on WHYS, they throw one HELL of a FIT!! I can tell you right out here and now WHY America is in such a MESS—she is at WAR against GOD. Warning this people about this only brings scoffings/ mockings/rebuttals. Satan is nobody’s fool, he works when you sleepy “Christians” sleep….to get your children, which is the heart of any society. His Hand Hard Stretched Out“FOR THE PEOPLE (Israel / America) turneth not unto Him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts”—(Isa. 9:13). Back up to verse 12; here we see enemies before Israel and behind her…“they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.” Maybe you haven’t noticed it but there are many enemies of this country…ready to devour if and when the LORD lifts His protection—they are, in fact, inside the nation: Islam, Communists / socialists, homosexuals, e.g., GLBTQs, New Agers, Masons, One Worlders & Big Bankers, and now we have the Emergent Church itself who is ready—willing—and able to help destroy the very last remaining remnant of Biblical Christianity. Biblical Christianity…HAS BEEN REDUCED TO A MERE HANDFUL OF ADHERENTS. Christian homes and institutions have become enemies of God and His Word over the years. Worldly goals have replaced fighting for the Lord Jesus, both internally and externally. Those who control what the youth are taught and experience, what they see, hear, think, and believe, will determine the future course of any nation. Given that influence, a Christian value system of an entire culture can be overhauled and overruled in one generation—THIS GENERATION!! Why have Christians surrendered their children up to worldly influences? Well, because mom and dad have already surrendered. In the beginning America was, for a large part, “Christianized”, now she is “Christ-less-ized”. The enemy sowed seeds of complacency, apathy, ignorance, tolerance of sin, just plain backslidings. Make Haste SlowlyAN OXYMORON? Yes, but a true one at that. The Socialist Fabian Society had as their motto “Make Haste Slowly”. And so Democratic Socialism became the battle cry to SOCIALIZE America. Their goal was, as one critic put it, to “permeate and penetrate,” control deep within. So, look at your present political / religious establishments: what do you see? Not folks who teach from God's Word “correctly”, but enemies who continue to sow tares while the “Christians” SLEEP! The Muslims likewise have their “INDOCTRINATE, PENETRATE, and DOMINATE” policy—it is working wonders while the “Christians” sleep! The same goes for the whole gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer agenda. Chastity, modesty, temperance and godliness have all been reinterpreted—once distinctive characteristics of a civilized civilization—in order to give way to an UNBRIDLED quest for raw, sick, carnal pleasure and a satanic display of the human body. This OBSESSION for sex permeates all of America—EVERYTHING is contaminated. The New Testament portrays God's true servants as both conquerors and conquered; Jesus, God's unique Son, was put to death by the very people He came to liberate! Did you catch that? Isn’t this what His own people are doing to Him once again?, putting the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE to death because they do not want to pay the price of obedience? The Bible is replete with gruesome accounts of all the above—yet America (and most of the world) “turneth not unto Him that smiteth them”. Wickedness Burns as FireISAIAH GOES ON IN HIS WRITINGS to inform us that “the leaders of this people (Israel / America) cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed” (v. 16) “…for all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still” (v. 17) “…for wickedness burneth as the fire…” (v. 18). Don’t tell me that Sin, unchecked, will not BURN as a fire, destroying and laying waste any nation. You see, if men will not extinguish the fires of lust etc., God will release His fire of judgments for destruction. The “briers” and “thorns” in v. 18 are images frequently applied in Scripture, when set on fire, to the rage of the sinfully wicked; violent, yet will eventually be burned up. Some call God mean and lacking compassion because He brings destruction, yet, unrepentant men are as briars and thorns to God, they are useless, unprofitable, proper objects of the LORD’S WRATH, to be BURNED UP!, or driven away by the wind (Spirit). Isa. 33:12 reads thus: “And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.” Both of these Scriptures/ ideas seem to be joined in Ps. 58:9: “Before your pots can feel the thorns, He shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in His wrath” (KJV). Another version reads thus: “Before your pots shall feel the thorn, as well the green as the dry, the tempest shall bear them away.” “The green as the dry” is a proverbial expression, meaning all sorts of them, good and bad, great and small. Ezekiel 20:47 expresses it this way: “And say to the forest of the south, ‘Hear the Word of the LORD: Thus saith the LORD God; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein!” A Persian poet described a pestilence under the image of a conflagration: “This was a lightening that, falling upon a forest, consumed there the green wood with the dry” (Harmer’s Observations, Vol. 2, p. 187). Cruel Fuel!Isaiah 9, in verse 19 explains that, “Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be the fuel of the fire…” God is in charge of ALL earthly matters dear ones, not man; although He may use man in His punishments, still He is in Total control. A Destroying StormGeneral James Green, Nov. 28, 2011Isaiah 28:1-29YOU WOULD THINK with all the history books available for we Westerners to read, we would be convinced, by their contents, that nations of this earth have come and gone—numerous, destroyed because of SIN WITHIN! Yet we live in a country and in an age where scoffers and mockers abound. There is an old saying, “Be not scoffers, lest your bonds be made strong!” For sure, a lesson the dissolute must learn. A case in point is that of Isaiah, chapter 28. The construction of this oracle is introduced by the quotation of a word spoken previously under similar circumstances concerning Samaria, the capital of the Northern Kingdom of Israel. “Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!” (v.1) Verse 2 states, “Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.” What does this mean? It means that the proud drunkards and the dissolute leaders of Ephraim had been overthrown as by a hailstorm and flood sent by Yahweh, as verses 3 and 4 also tell us. G.A. Buttrick,, commentary editor of the book of Isaiah states, “so the befuddled authorities of Judah (Southern Kingdom) who refuse to listen as Isaiah underlines the lesson (vs. 7-10), will learn it perforce from the barbaric speech of an invader.” In other words, Judah had Ephraim as a vivid example of the destruction of their counterpart. The northern kingdom had already been destroyed by the Assyrians and the 10 tribes had been taken captive in a foreign land. Did the Lord let the drunkards of Ephraim get by? NO! His judgments fell. Verses 7 and 8 tell us that the people, along with the priest and prophet have erred thru strong drink. Alcohol consumption has literally destroyed whole nations! Look at America, drugs and drink control this nation. Do you think the Lord will turn a blind eye to all this? Verse 8 illustrates, in a figurative way, the literal insanity of their habits, “all tables are FULL of VOMIT and FILTHINESS so that there is NO PLACE CLEAN.” Cannot we testify of this, even the State, family, and also the Church is filthy in this sin-sick nation? If men drink to the point of becoming sick, then vomiting, would it be out of line to believe that the Lord became sick by looking upon the filth of His creation, the inhabitants of the land? (see Rev. cpt. 3) And would you believe that even the land gets sick because of the sins committed upon her and against her? Please take time to read Leviticus chapter 18. You’ll discover that “…the land is defiled: therefore I (God) do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself VOMITETH out her inhabitants” (vs. 25) Just what sins were that bad? Sex sins! Murder! Sodomy, i.e. homosexuality plus incest, adultery and all kinds of fornication. Even Israel committed the sin of the pagan nations that burnt their children in the fire offered to the fire god Moloch. Have not Americans offered their unborn children to the god of abortion? Have not Americans offered their children to satanic governmental schools etc?...taught mostly by sex perverts and evolutionists? THE SINS OF THIS NATION ALONE ARE ENOUGH TO PROVOKE GOD TO ANGER, LET ALONE THE REST OF THE WORLD. Verses 7-10 have similar experiences of other prophets (see Amos 7:10-17; Hosea 4:6-8; Jer. 26:8-16). Verses 14-22 speak of the covenant with death. Here Isaiah comforts the rulers of Jerusalem with the assertion that their policy and behavior are bringing inevitable ruin—they have DELIBERATELY entered into a covenant to serve, in return for protection, a god or gods other than the LIVING GOD. That sounds exactly like what this idolatrous nation has done!! According to the Hebrew word “Moweth”, death, it means here the god of the underworld, Sheol or hell. It is common for prophets to speak of the alien deities / gods as “lies” and “falsehood” (see Amos 2:4 and Jer. 10:14). Some scholars feel that the leaders of Judah were plotting a secret alliance with the god of Egypt, Osiris, or maybe the god of the Canaanites, Mot. Has not America formed an alliance with the United Nations and other ungodly societies (and deities) for protection? Have not the leaders of this ungodly nation sold out its people to foreign powers? The evidence of what I say will someday be very clear, not shrouded in darkness. Be it known to all of you most stupid people of this land, those of you who in fear have sought to rescue yourselves by serving and worshiping other gods, you WILL experience sheer TERROR of God's, Yahweh’s decree of destruction! Both Israel and Judah (North and South kingdoms) DID go under His decree of judgment. The leadership of America, both covert and overt, hidden and seen has grown arrogant. What was TOP SECRET diplomacy yesterday, is pretty well known today. But God will cancel this pact with death by bringing terror of death. Our only hope lies in the returning back to the covenant with LIFE and LIGHT. God has His own way of punishing His people along with the pagan. He many times uses His nature to bring destruction, but also He uses the BARBARITY of the BARBARIANS as His destroying weapon. This country is NOT Christian! Her backsliding has taken her into the very core of HELL, figuratively speaking. The Hebrew renders verse 15 “WE have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement”, “we have made vision, we have had an interview, struck a bargain, and settled all preliminaries”. What the leadership really did was make a pact with Satan by a diabolic sacrifice (canathnu berith), “we have cut the covenant sacrifice”. You see, they divided it for the contracting parties to pass between the separated victim. The victim was split exactly down the middle so that even the spinal marrow was exactly divided thru its whole length, and being set opposite to each other, the parties entered, one at the head part, the other at the feet. Then they met in the center, took the covenant oath. Thus a pact with Satan and demons was accomplished. Witchcraft! Oh, yes, dear reader, those in high (and low) places in this nation have done the same thing, only WORSE. Leaders of this nation DO NOT SERVE GOD, but SATAN!! Idolatry has reached a high pitch world-wide. Is it any wonder that the Lord is wroth? Verse 20 says “…the bed is shorter than a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.” Strange? Under the graphic and humorous figures of the bed suggested the inadequacy of their needs, what they needed was the Living God to rest upon—plenty of room and plenty of covering. The state of the union carries on with its outward show for the sake of its people, but momentary prosperity and “superpowers” fame is inadequate. So also is the Church-rituals conducted by degenerate and queer priests, money grabbing liars who lead in voluptuous ceremonial acts without a drop of moral content! Politicians and preachers alike are not covering the people (blanket) and the bed is pitiably inadequate. A proverbial saying, the meaning of which is, that they will find all means of defense and protection insufficient to secure them, and cover them from the evils coming upon them. Chapter 22 verse 8 tells us, “And he discovered the covering of Judah, and thou didst look in that day to the armor of the house of the forest.” The “armor” or “arsenal” built by Solomon within the city of Jerusalem, and called the house of the forest of Lebanon (cedars), was used for defense. “Massek”, the covering, is used for the outworks of defense, the barrier of the country. So here in verse 20 it is used in the allegorical sense, it means much the same thing. Their beds were only mattresses laid on the floor, and the covers were mere sheets, not warm enough for winter time. Tell me Americans, has not the leadership of this nation sold you down the river? Has not the Church cheated you, not telling you the truth, the WHOLE TRUTH, nothing but the truth? I say they HAVE! And God is telling us that He will give you and them the fruits of your earnings—HELL on earth! With all this said, it stands to reason that we’re going to “reap what we sow!”— maybe a lot more!! Adlai Stevenson, Council on Foreign Relations (another satanic society) years ago proclaimed: “The U.S. Program (UN program) calls for TOTAL ELIMINATION of national capacity to make international war” (Operation vampire killer 2000, Kamiah, Idaho). Violence against non-Muslims is not a twisting of Islam, but it is repeatedly affirmed in the Qur’an, the Hadith, the examples of Muhammad, and the rulings of every school of Islamic jurisprudence. Muslim terrorists are not “hijacking” Islam; they are, in fact, restoring it. Without terrorism, Islam will suffocate and collapse in quick time. The history of Islam is a millennium long devil dance of murder, massacre, rape and plunder, trickery, treachery, tyranny and torture across the world from the day of its inception. The peaceful face of Islam is a deception. It is political Islam, which is the mask of violent Islam. As the Turkish Prime Minister commented (McCarthy, 2010, p. 39); “These descriptions are very ugly. It is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that’s it”.The only difference between a peaceful Muslim and a terrorist Muslim is that terrorists are openly in action and not at all shy to make their agenda known to non-Muslims, whereas the peaceful Muslims are silently in action and hypocrite. Muslims cannot be a loyal minority, and as their numbers and strength build up, they will demand to impose Islamic laws and systems on their hosts. In fact, the Qur’an instructs them not to live as minorities, but to try to take over. Their allegiance is always to the wider world of Islam over any national boundaries. As example, a prominent American Muslim spokesman Siraj Wahaj advised the Muslims in USA (cited Spencer, 2005, p. 45): “If only Muslims were clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate.”Islam and terrorism are blood brothers. In the wake of the two London bombings in 2005, al-Ghurabaa, one of the most radical Islamic groups in Britain, stated (Dawkins, 2006, p. 307): “Any Muslim that denies that terror is a part of Islam is kafir (nonbeliever)”. And a similar self-explanatory statement from Zakir Naik (Al-Kindy, 2005, p. 86; Downing, 2009, p. 354) is: “Every Muslim should be a terrorist”. These so-called peaceful Muslims are very calculative and proceed sophistically. As example, the influential American convert to Islam Hamza Yusuf in November 2004 exhorted Muslims to advance strategically to their goals (cited Spencer, 2006, p. 189); “There are times when you have to live like a sheep, in order to live in the future like a lion”.This is called al-taqiyya (legal deception) in Islam, which allows Muslims to literally deny any aspect of their faith, and defined as (Richardson, 2006, p. 172), “Taqiyya is merely uttering of the tongue, while the heart is comfortable with faith.” These so-called peaceful Muslims give long speeches on human rights and democratic values and sing the peaceful verses of the Qur’an, but once Islam becomes powerful, they will start singing another tune. The fundamental concepts of human rights, developed in the West with the help of John Locke and other enlightenment thinkers, have not had any impact on Islam even to this day. Hard-line Muslims have openly admitted this fact. In January 1985, Saeed Raja’i-Khorasani, the permanent delegate to the United Nations from the Islamic Republic of Iran, declared (Spencer, 2002, p. 104): “The very concept of human rights is ‘a Judeo-Christian invention’ and inadmissible in Islam.”The so-called peaceful Muslims would not hesitate to implement Jyzia tax on Christians and Jews, and slit the throats of Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, ex-Muslims, atheists and agnostics in accordance with Sharia law. Deep down, every “believer” is potentially the judge and executioner of every “nonbeliever”. After all, both the terrorists and the peaceful Muslims are working for the same cause – to dominate the world in the name of Islam.Since the noblest goal of a Muslim is to assist Islam rule the world, these moderate Muslims shamelessly try to deceive the infidels with their twisted logic and pathological lying. They repeat the same lies again and again thinking that it would become true if often repeated. If necessary, they will distort the meaning of Qur’anic verses as per their selfish needs. Imam Ghazali said (Shienbaum & Hasan, 2006, p. 63): “Speaking is a means to achieve objectives. If a praiseworthy aim is attainable through both telling the truth and lying, it is unlawful to accomplish through lying, because there is no need for it. When it is possible to achieve such an aim by lying but not by telling the truth, it is permissible to lie if attaining the goal is permissible”. As Imam Jafar Sadiq (cited Richardson, 2006, p. 170) advised,“One, who exposes something from our religion, is like one who intentionally kills us.”“You belong to a religion that whosoever conceals it, Allah will honor him and whosoever reveals it, Allah will disgrace and humiliate him.”The peaceful and the terrorist Muslims are two sides of the same coin. For a peaceful Muslim, it is very easy to become a terrorist. Hate for non-Muslims is the basic tenet of Islam and violence is the conclusion. As Ayatollah Sadegh Khalkhali, a hard-line Iranian Judge openly declared (Scott, 2002, p. 201): “Those who are against killing have no place in Islam. Our Prophet killed with his own blessed hands. Our Imam Ali killed more than seven hundred on a single day. If the survival of the faith requires the shedding of blood, we are there to perform our duty”.So, when a so-called peaceful Muslim emerges as a terrorist, it does not involve a discrete choice to change status. Thanks to the teachings of Islam, a terrorist is lurking inside every Muslim waiting for a chance to come out. One such example (Martin, 2010, p. 195): Qur’an says, “When the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them…” (Q: 9.5). A son of Pakistani businessman was inspired by this verse and took the oath: “I state in the presence of God that I will slaughter the infidels my entire life. May God give me strength in fulfilling this oath.” Throughout the recorded history of Islam, the Qur’an, the unholiest religious book, had turned men into monsters. Muslims, generation after generation, take up the Quran’s teachings and make themselves into weapons of injustice, oppression, and domination.Islamic terrorism is a complex phenomenon; hence, the personalities of terrorists change from person to person. It would be useless to attribute a simple and global characteristic to all of them. In Islam, terrorists can assume many different roles – only a few will actually fire the weapon or detonate the bomb or become a suicide bomber. The “personality” of a Muslim politician, or a Mullah, or a financier of Islamic terrorism, or a burqa-clad (niqab, burqa, chador – Islamic veil) illiterate Muslim woman, who gives birth to a dozen kids because a large family pleases Allah, or the simple pious bearded Muslim, who pays regular Zakat to the mosque, is different from that of an administrator, or strategist, or an assassin, or a suicide bomber. This is the essence of jihad that had been widely discussed in Islamic books on religious laws. Though some systematic differences might be discerned between those who engage in terrorism and those who do not; deep down, they have identical psychological set-up. Taylor and Quayle, the two well-known researchers of the present-age religious terrorism, concluded (1994, p. 197): “The active terrorist is not discernibly different in psychological terms from the non-terrorist; in psychological terms, there are no special qualities that characterize the terrorist.”Who can deny the fact that the radical clerics and militant community leaders are elected by these moderate Muslims? Though terrorism expert Daniel Pipes estimates that 10 to 15 percent of world’s Muslims support jihadist agenda, there are indications from various parts of the Islamic world that the actual number is much higher. During a terrorism finance trial in New York in February 2005, Bernard Haykel, an associate professor of Islamic studies at New York University, estimated that 90 percent of the Arab Muslims support Hamas – the Islamic terrorist organization that blows up buses and restaurants filled with civilians to further its goals of a Palestinian Sharia state. Dr. Imran Waheed, the London spokesman for the international “peaceful” jihadist group, Hizb ut-Tahrir, claimed in May 2005 that 99 percent of the Muslims worldwide want a caliphate to rule the world (Spencer, 2005, p. 192). These statistics confirm that those Muslims, who support terrorism, are not a tiny minority but a vast majority.In reality, peaceful Islam does not exist. A peaceful Muslim makes as much sense as a peaceful Nazi. “Al Islam huwa al hall” (Islam is the solution) is not a slogan raised by Muslim terrorists only, but by all Muslims (Phares, 2005, p. 251). Whitewashing orWatching?General James Green, Dec. 12, 2011THIS TITLE WAS USED by a British Christian back in the early 1980’s when he wrote an essay on the dangers of nuclear weapons. Being concerned, as millions were, about the massive nuclear weapons build up between the US and Russia, he posed many questions that needed to be answered. He perceived that the U.S. Gov. wasn’t putting forth the WHOLE truth on this grave matter, but was indeed whitewashing and not watching. I would like to forward this subject some 25 years plus and put forth questions from our own camp about the “whitewashing” being done in both State and Church. What Is God Saying In This Hour?THEORIES AND LIES ABOUND THESE DAYS, from both Church and State about world events. Please forgive me if I generalize a lot, but there is no way I can list all the things “out there” that men are discussing, debating and FEARING! You know there are plenty of “scary”, “disgusting” and “disrupting” things that speak, as it were, loudly—but what is God saying to this current generation? Two of the biggest events that have happened since the new millennium began. 1.) The “supposed” terrorist attack by Muslims against the US, 9/11/2011 or 911. Millions in both the secular and religious sectors believe that the U.S. bombed the Twin Towers (World Trade Center) and blamed the Militant Muslims. I, for one, believe this! 2.) The acceptance and promotion of same-sex marriages by both Church and State. And there are dozens of other smaller things. The war in Iraq is the result of the “supposed” Islamic attack of America, so we must combine the two. Psalms 50:3 says, “Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent.” Many anticipate a pre-tribulation rapture as I write, HOPING they will escape the Great Tribulation…another false hope! Most, and I say MOST Church folks are no more waiting to “meet Jesus in the air” than the Devil’s waiting to get saved! Who Knows WHAT God IS Saying?THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF RADIO SHOWS, T.V. shows, meetings, discussions, seminars, internet exchanges, etc., all putting forth THEIR interpretations of world events and THEIR Biblical and non-Biblical beliefs. Most are dull, insipid, stupid! Many are trajectories, others are synthesis, eisegesis, olfactories, even ebullient. Many today who deliver such speeches, writings, and sermons are obdurate, that is, hardened in heart or feeling, especially against morality. Nevertheless, once in a great while we read of, or hear of a real man / woman of God who hears from our God on current matters—but they get no limelight. But we need to HEAR above the fools and fears of our time. Do Parallels Speak?THEY DO! If one cannot hear, personally, from the Spirit of God, we have our Bibles that speak plainly and loudly to us. Allow me to put forth a very good example where God spoke plainly during a crisis. Ezekiel was a refugee from Jerusalem who had been deported (taken captive!) in 597 BC, along with many Jerusalem aristocrats by the King of Babylon. Ezekiel had been a Jewish Priest who ministered in the Jewish Temple. However, it was not in the Temple that Ezekiel saw his first visions of God, but in Israel’s enemies territory, by the river Chebar (Ezek. 1:1). It was here that he saw “the heavens opened up” (some estimate around 593 BC). This was the time that God called him to be a Prophet to the exiles. Ezek. 1:1 puts this time at “the 4th month, on the 5th day” (some calculate this to be July 31, 593 B.C.) Babylon was around 500 miles from his home, yet he obviously kept well informed—(by letter?) of the distressing developments among the Jews who still remained behind. If you care to read the whole book of Ezekiel, you’ll get the whole context of his writing. We read in 3:17 that “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore HEAR the WORD from My mouth, and GIVE them WARNING from Me:” then God gives forth His Word (18-21). Ezekiel was warned himself, by God, to speak the Truth to Israel and personally to individuals: The warnings were not just about physical death but also about spiritual doom (the duties of the spiritual watchmen are presented in 33:1-9). Watchmen?EZEKIEL WAS GOD'S CALLED AND CHOSEN WATCHMAN, but Israel had their own prophets who would not put forth God's Truth but whitewashed the whole situation. You see, then, as now, Ezekiel had competition! He told the sinning Jews that “…you have not walked in My statutes,” (11:8-12), but in Jerusalem a different word was being proclaimed. There were other prophets, (see Jeremiah 28:2-4) that reassured the Jerusalemites that ALL was going to be WELL! Jeremiah the Prophet was also warning Israel about their fate, but to no avail. Hananiah, the False ProphetHANANIAH WAS ONE OF THE FALSE PROPHETS who confronted Jeremiah (Jer. 28:1). God's true Prophets prevailed in the end, for Hananiah, the false prophet DIED at the hand of the LORD, as Jeremiah prophesied (28:16, 17). Friends, we still have plenty of false prophets “out there” telling God's people that ALL will be WELL, but they LIE! God is going to punish this nation (USA) for its great sins and all nations for theirs. This is the Truth! Ezekiel was told by God to prophesy against the false prophets of Israel (13:2), for they prophesied out of their own hearts (13:2). Take time to read Ezek. cpt. 13. God called them “foolish” prophets who followed their own spirits, not God's Holy Spirit. And so it is today! Micah the ProphetFALSE PROPHETS LIED and did not hear from the LORD. Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Micah, etc., were true prophets of the LORD. Hear what Micah the Prophet says in 3:8, “But truly I am FULL of power by the Spirit of the LORD, and of justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin.” This is what we NEED to see in our perverted generation of “funny and foolish” prophets. What Was Israel’s Sin?THERE WERE MANY—lying was one, “They have spoken falsehood and divined a LIE” (Ezek. 13:6). These fools reassured the sinning Israelites that God would protect them (from Babylon) without repenting of their sins! Hello! Are you out there? Is not this the Church’s SIN today? YES!!! These “foolish” prophets had a demonic vision, delusive, despite their political / religious impressive credentials—their message, to that MESS-AGE was unreal and untrue. Prophet’s Falsehoods—Yahweh’s Outrage!BY YAHWEH’S DIVINE DECREE, “My hand will be against the prophets who envision futility and who divine LIES; they shall not be in the assembly of My people, nor be written in the record of the house of Israel, nor shall they enter into the land of Israel…” We’ve got plenty of false teachers—leaders—prophets etc. in the land today that are not watchmen but are white-washers—they spread lies like one would whitewash on an object or objects. Oh, they say “Hear the Word of the Lord!” but they teach, preach, and prophesy out of their own hearts and minds (Ezek 13:2), they follow THEIR own spirits (13:3). Jeremiah the Prophet had “stood in the council of Yahweh to PERCEIVE and to HEAR His Word” (Jer. 23:18). Ezekiel had the same attentiveness. Tickling Their EarsTHE “TICKLING OF MEN’S EARS” is quite popular; telling the unrepentant “Church folks” what they want to hear. Today, they do not want to be told to put away their sin/sins! NO WAY!! They don’t want to be told that if they don’t, they will receive God's unpleasant judgment. NO! They, like the Jews in question, want to hear SHALOM (peace). They want to be told how good and blessed they are, even though they already have one foot in HELL and sliding fast. They want to be told that “God loves you!” even though they make Him SICK! They want to be told that it is God's will for them to be prosperous and to have ALL the world can offer. God is PatientBECAUSE OF THEIR SINS, God sent the King of Babylon, Nebuchadrezzar, to invade their land, spoil their treasures and take away some hostages. Was not this a REAL warning enough? But the false prophets made light of the whole affair, white washing the whole event, promising Israel, Shalom! Look at the judgments that have befallen America over the last 10 years—still the prophets laugh and promise us peace and safety and MORE prosperity. Misled the PeopleWOLVES IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING! They are everywhere today, globally. “Shalom” where there is no shalom! (Ezek. 13:10; Jer. 6:14; 8:11). So, the people, in their delusions, have built up a wall of false securities between them and God. Trusting in Egypt (i.e., the “world”)EZEKIEL TELLS US IN 17:15 THAT ISRAEL “rebelled against Him (God) by sending his ambassadors to Egypt, that they might give him horses and many people. Will he prosper? Will he who does such things escape? Can he break a covenant and still be delivered?” You silly Church folks better read the answers that follow. Trusting in worldly alliances and weaponry failed for them; it will also fail for us! (17:17) We (Americans) think that God will always overshadow us because we “claim” to be His. Dear ones, the American Church, as it stands, is in filthy abomination unto God!! Amen. The false prophets in Ezekiel’s and Jeremiah’s day MADE the people to “trust in a LIE” (Jer. 28:15). God wanted Israel’s king, Zedekiah, to surrender Israel into the hands of the king of Babylon for judgment, but the court prophets kept telling him “ALL will be WELL!” Mark what Isaiah the Prophet said in Isa. 31:1 (also 2 Chron. 16:7): “WOE to those who go down to Egypt (the world / pagans) for help (alliances) and rely on horses, and trust in chariots (state-of-the-art military hardware)” God does NOT want us trusting in delusory things, but strictly on Him (read Isa. 31:12, 13). Trusting in Our ReligionOH, WHAT A DELUSION! America the “GREAT” is really good at trusting in her religion, what ever that may be?...religiosity I guess. Get serious here, 90 percent of the professors of Christianity in this country are not right with God…why LIE to ourselves? Oh, In Ezekiel’s day and Jeremiah’s day, the temple sacrifices carried on as usual, dull and dumb priests did their thing; the prophets (preachers mostly today) continued to pronounce “says Yahweh / God” stuff, all the while the people’s lives were literally weakened by idols (stuff and things!) (Ezek. 14:3). We have countless teachers / preachers who tell us DAILY that our “God is loving and tolerant, nothing to worry about!” White washing the lies to make them appear true and acceptable. Preachers in this hour are BIG LIARS!! Deceived!OH WHAT A DECEIVED GENERATION in which we live in. There are multitudes of “Christians” who are willfully deceived. They love LIES and LIARS! This generation is deceived to believe that God is now tolerant towards sin. Now we can have our sin and His blessings—we can have the standards of other gods and have the protection of the Biblical God. Today's ChurchMEN ARE SO DECEIVED TODAY. They think just because the “Church” is built with religious / economic / political materials that the structure is strong—WRONG! We forget that it has been built upon sand and not the Rock. Whitewashing sin and sinners, we think, pleases God. Oh, how it gleams in humanistic splendor, in the gloss of religious approval! Hear what Jesus Said“WOE to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness”— Matt. 23:27 NKJV. Jesus was speaking plainly about Israel’s religion as verse 28 explains. This modern and BACKSLIDDEN Church may appear to be successful, rich, beautiful and Politically Correct, yet it is full of DEAD RELIGIOUS FLESH. All the whitewashing, dear friends, will never conceal the horrid stench of rotting flesh within. All this outward ornate display merely conceals the decadence of the Church goer. Hear the Word of the LORD“SAY TO THOSE WHO PLASTER IT (the wall) with untempered mortar, that it will fall…” Ezek. 13:11. Israel had built “their” wall (a separation between them and the Living God!) but that man-made wall would not stand against God's judgment. “So I will break down the wall you have plastered (glossed) with untempered mortar, and bring it down to the ground, so that its foundation will be uncovered…”(v. 14). Of course this prophecy prefigured the destruction of Jerusalem, at which time the “foolish prophets” (v. 3) in Babylon lost their influence, their hopes. Judgment ComingDON’T BE DECEIVED, judgment will visit our generation. Even though the false prophets said “peace and safety”, the king of Babylon did come the second time. Amidst the invasion and destruction of Jerusalem, the prophets’ superficial optimism vanished. Babylonian battering rams spoiled their “prophetic party”. Hear Me!GOD IS WROTH with this generation’s watchmen who have turned white-washers, who speak in His name, but act in their own name. Ezekiel asked the people, “…why will you die, oh house of Israel?” (Ezek. 18:31, 32). I ask the same question, “Why will you die, oh American church people?” It was only 7 years after the first invasion by Babylon, that the second invasion came. The rebellious people did not turn from their sins, so Yahweh did not turn from His wrath. He brought upon the people “the fruit of their devices” (Jer. 6:19). This time the Temple itself was devastated and the prophets were deported to die!...alongside Ezekiel…by the waters of Babylon. But Ezekiel was right, the prophets’ whitewash job was now evident to ALL. Around 600 Years LaterDID NOT JESUS, KING, PRIEST, and PROPHET, use similar language against the Jewish leadership? Did He not talk about WHITEWASHING? Jesus, as did Ezekiel and Jeremiah, had a watchful eye on the Establishment of His day. In fact the story almost repeats itself, instead of a Babylon invasion, God used the Roman Army to tear down all the whitewashed religion. True WatchmenREAD THE BIBLE; true prophets, preachers, and teachers address the people with God's “good news”, an alternative to the “whitewashing” of evil men. They did this at the peril of being scourged, persecuted, hated, even killed. So it is today, dear readers—if one DARES to tell the truth, both religious and non-religious men will rise up in hatred and anger. Jesus Tried...JESUS TRIED TO WARN HIS PEOPLE, like the prophets before Him, about the consequences of rebellion. He wanted to gather His people under His covering, for He knew God was going to send another wave of severe persecution against Jerusalem (Matt. 23:37). As we all know, the religious establishment was controlled by conspirators and false “peace and safety” controlled and dominated their thinking. The leaders thought if Jesus was left to “do His own thing!” then the Romans would destroy them. That was their reasoning! The Romans DID DESTROY Jerusalem, but it was because the people, for the most part, rejected Jesus’ offer of salvation and refused to turn from their sinful ways. (see Jn. 11:48). Jesus Saw Thru the Whitewash JobJESUS SAW RIGHT THROUGH all the religious hypocrisy of His day. What about you reader? Don’t be deceived, judgment is coming to this sin-sick world and men are going to pay dearly. We all have to agree that the world is not in a time of “peace and safety”, even the world knows this. Yet we still have this sin-sick Church that thinks she will escape His judgments…a rapture? Ha! Wait and see. Reverberating ThemesARE WE SO BLIND AND DUMB that we can’t perceive that Truth? These Biblical themes continue to reverberate…the Holy Spirit working in and thru holy men and women today is calling for repentance. The Spirit is dealing with both sinful nations and individuals. Yes, I know, the people have their glib generalization and excuses of WHY they can’t turn around: Moral shallowness is literally killing the Church. Doomsday ClockNO, I AM NOT A DOOMSDAY PROPHET. I do not expect the world to end soon—I do expect God's judgments to befall nations and individuals: nor am I looking for a rapture or any other way of escape. I am looking to please God, for I am called to sound the alarm. Sure, the doomsday clock is ticking away, but I don’t know when Jesus is coming back, like, a date. But I do know that He IS coming back and the world as we know it will come to an END! Let me state this; He is coming back WHEN His bride hath made herself ready for His return. Romans 15:13 says that “…may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit”—NKJV. I don’t need to be anxious about the time in which we live—it is evil to be sure—but we can’t live our lives in dread and in fear, but in faith and confidence. Remember Back When...I WELL REMEMBER WHEN the military establishment here in the U.S. had mottos like “Peace is our Profession” (U.S. Strategic Air Command, USSAC). When the MX-Missile (nuclear) was christened, it was called “Peacekeeper”. Much of our military is characterized as “Peace thru Strength”. Going back to THE BOMB (1945), we were informed it was to “Keep the Peace”, (I was born that year). Forward—2012—“Peace”? WHERE? We have plenty of nuclear weapons and so do other nations—yet war, terrorism, and hatred is the order of the day. Ask Israel if she feels “peaceful”. Where Are We Going?With all the ingenuity and expenditure spent on “Peace and War”, one would think we would have MORE to show than what is “out there” right now. It is a disgrace to the human race that the governments of this world spend hardly one red cent on spreading the Gospel of peace. Evil hearts are the cause of our trouble. If we could convert, really, Biblically CONVERT lost souls, we would have a better world…at least for awhile. False Preachers / PoliticiansTHE AIR WAVES AND PRINTED PAGE is full of empty promises coming from the preachers and politicians. They literally exasperate me! What LIES! What double-speak! What double LIVES! I don’t believe, for one minute, that I am misreading current events nor mis-hearing what the Holy Spirit is speaking to us. I would never spend the time, $$, and energy on promoting something I did not believe in. There are very few true “watchers” but too many “white-washers”. Did not Jesus’ critics believe that He had a demon? Yes! Did not the Prophets before, suffer criticism and even death? Yes! Do you think political and religious demons have changed? NO! I’m not only suspicious of white-washers, but disgusted with them. They are leading America into destruction FAST! Security without repentance is a deadly LIE we cannot ignore any longer. Why believe in delusive and foolish men / women that contradict God's Word? This is insanity in the first degree. Really stupid! With all the immense $$ and power the Political / Religious have, it is SIN for that $$ and power to be used to deceive the public; yet this is currently happening. As for me personally, I will CONTINUE to proclaim God's Word, not putting a beautiful whitewash job on SIN. In reality, I personally cannot support Romans 13. In light of today’s political (or religious) leadership; they punish the good and bless the evil! The proliferation of evil men / women in both religious / political means is appalling. The states “God-given” authority has been trashed long ago, to punish the real evil doers. Now true Christian watchmen and women are the targeted. Only an INSANE nation would legalize abortion and gay rights, because both are forbidden by God's Word. And the same goes with the “justifiable war” principle—it is totally out of control. Blow The TrumpetGeneral James Green, Dec. 5, 2011JOEL 1:1-2:27 DESCRIBES A LOCUST PLAGUE AND DROUGHT, calls the people to repentance, and promises the removal of the locusts and the restoration of fertility. Many nations, past and present, have seen what locusts can do. They cause a lot of destruction to the greenery of the earth. As Joel tells us, these insects can literally cause famine in the land. This was and is a form and type of God's judgment. Since food for animals and humans can be destroyed, starvation sets in. God uses the locusts for the sole purpose of “repentance”. The priests were exhorted to summon the people of Judah. According to the political and religious conditions indicated, the prophet Joel delivered his message around 400 BC. Joel was called a “temple-prophet” (1:13; 2:17). Verse 2 speaks of “a day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness,…” Since the time of the prophet Amos (5:18), “darkness” had been a symbol of the destructive aspect of the day of the LORD’S judgment. The plague of locusts in Egypt is said to have darkened the land (see Ex. 10:15). America has seen this plague in times past too. Locusts sometimes are called “black flood”. The resemblance of the locust with warfare implements happens since its head resembles a miniature horse. The German name for locust is ”Heupferd”. Parallelism favors war horses (see RSV) rather than horsemen (KJV). Verse 4 tells us that “the appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.” The speed and orderly advance of a locust army makes this an apt simile, as some scholars tell us. Much could be written about this but let me get to my main point—God's judgment! The Bible plainly tells us and is replete with scriptures, that God uses the elements, the earth, animals, fowls, water creatures, insects, and men etc. to be His destroying weapon—when needed. We cannot take Joel 2 as a figure of speech, but literal. For nations have suffered at the hands of the Almighty. Unlike other prophets, Joel does not mention any particular sin, like high places, or of the idolatry which the pre-exilic prophets condemn. But he does warn the people to repent and return unto the LORD. Obviously they had provoked God's wrath, for He sent the locust army to destroy the land. There are several interpretations of the locusts. Of course they have been interpreted as literally, in the present, allegorically, of historical invasions, apocalyptically, of supernatural creatures of the end time, or as a combination of the literal and one of the other views. (see J. A. Thompson, “Joel: Locusts in the Light of Near Eastern Parallels”, Journal of Near Eastern Studies, XIV (1955), pgs. 52-55). On the margin of the Gk. “Codex Marchalianus” (Q) of the 6th century the words for locust in 2:25 are identified with the Egyptians, Babylonians, Assyrians, and the Greeks. Also similar but varied interpretations of the plague as an allegory of historical human invasions are given by the Jewish Targum, patristic commentators, and some modern expositors. Other scholars hold that the locust army was not real but types of the future catastrophe of the “Day of the LORD”. But 1:16, “before our eyes” does not speak of a futuristic interpretation. I personally don’t know. But what I do know is that GOD USES WHATEVER MEANS HE CHOOSES TO FULFILL HIS PLANS. We can count on that. Joel, like other prophets, describes nature with accuracy, but he also interprets natural processes as the working out of God's moral purposes. It is common for Biblical writers to use the “natural” manifestation of the “supernatural”—the “visible” to describe the “invisible”. No doubt about it, animate and inanimate nature are the instruments of—and share in— man’s judgments and also his blessings. The “Day of the LORD” was Joel’s most common term for the time of judgment (1:15; 2:1,11, 31; 3:14). So also we have this same term in the N.T. era, 2 Cor. 1:14 and Heb. 10:25. There is THE DAY of the LORD yet to come, but history has seen many “days of the LORD”. The N.T. accounts of the Last Judgment are based on these same principles and even borrow some of Joel’s imagery (see Rev. 14:14-20). Verse 2 seems to indicate that the LORD’S army was men “…a great people and a strong: there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.” We can see why scholars are divided on this subject. Was the army locusts or was it men or was it both? Also verse 7 states, “They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war, and they shall march everyone on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:” verse 8 continues, “Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path; and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.” Verse 9 stated, “They shall run to and fro in the city: they shall climb upon the houses: they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.” And verse 11 tells us, “And the LORD shall utter His voice (Word) before His army: for His camp is very great: for He is strong that executeth His Word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?” From the above verses one can see why there are the literal, allegorical, historical, and apocalyptic interpretations. Whatever the case may be, the invading army, commanded by God against His very own people and their land and city, is not figurative, but literal, in the sense that it was not just a mere vision. Under the fact of an enemy’s army, Joel writes of a cloud of locusts, which in his time fell upon Judea, and caused great desolation. This with the caterpillars, and the drought, brought a terrible famine. But with the prayers of the people, I guess, after sufficient repentance, God drove the invaders away…the curse was succeeded by a blessing and fertility. But after this the prophet foretold the “day of the LORD”, and the vengeance He was to execute in the valley of Jezreel. What I get from Joel is that Judah had grown backslid in many ways, God sent the plague to WAKE them up, they repented and God restored the land. But in other Biblical cases and times their sins demanded a total break-up of their nation and imprisonment. Joel 2 makes a good preaching sermon; whether God is commanding locusts or men, the point is: under His direct command-ship they run, climb, march, do not fight among themselves, walk in their own, not another’s path, and they withstand the sword themselves. I believe that in the “last days” God will have a mighty army such as this!...to execute His vengeance upon this world. One Bible scholar states concerning vss.14-20 of chapter 1— “Applicable as Joel’s thought of judgment may be to social evils, it is not obvious to the modern reader how it applies to a natural calamity. Had the prophet only taken the plague of locusts as a kind of metaphor to describe God's judgment, or even as a reminder of God's overruling power, the difficulty would disappear. But it is evident that he regarded the plague not only as a foretaste of God's great day of wrath, but as an act of God sent to bring the nations to repentance.” I agree. Verse 6 of chapter 2 states, “Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.” The invading army literally causes TERROR (terrorism!). We find the mention of this in Isaiah 13:8, “and they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed at one another; their faces shall be as flames.” Here we have a prophecy against Babylon (the same Babylon whom God previously used as His Army and weapon against His own people being taken over—they became God's enemy here, not His army!), the prophecy that foretells its destruction by the Medes and Persians. Read verses 1-22. Compare the two prophecies. The Septuagint translates it “every face is like a scorched pot”. Others translate using the presumed etymology (Heb. Boil, heat) and suggest, “every face gathers heat, becomes flushed”. “This approach may furnish another point of contact with Isa. 13:8, where the result of the appearance of the divine army is that faces are aflame.” Others may suggest an etymology from the root (Heb. “brightness”) so that “gather brightness, recall brightness” (see cpt. 2:10; 2:31; 3:15) is understood as “become pale”. (T. E. McCorniskey, The Minor Prophets, 1992). Whatever the case may be, God's invading army, His destroying weapon, was TERRORISM! Friends, God sent this nation a “terrifying” wake-up call with 9/11/2001. It matters not if the U.S. Gov. knew about it beforehand (as now seems to be the case), or if it was simply an attack by militant Muslims. God allowed it for a warning. But as we can see, that warning DID NOT CAUSE AMERICA TO REPENT. Oh, yes, it did scare the pink pampers off some, but as a whole, that judgment was NOT HEEDED. Well, EXPECT SOMETHING FAR WORSE TO COME!! 911 was only a warning, a sign to draw attention to the fact that there is a God who will not stop great calamities. Another judgment God sent shortly thereafter was against 9 countries and killed over 160,000, and this cannot be overlooked as just an “accident” in nature. Nature is not neutral, but nature with the Biblical view represents natural disasters as the interventions of God. You see, the focal point of ALL our problems in the Biblical sense is human SIN. SIN calls down the wrath of God. Agreed, some disasters can be that of human carelessness and greed. But beyond this, it remains true, at all times, that sinful men are justly susceptible to the vengeance of natural forces, simply because we have plunged ourselves into a fallen world. Thusly, the apparent vagaries of nature actually are signs pointing to God's moral order. So it is with human forces. History attests to this fact, lurid facts of war, crime, disease, storm, accidents, famine etc.. Morbid and inhumane things have transpired upon this earth. “…and nothing shall escape them.” (v.3) or “there is no escape” also introduces another prominent Biblical theme, the remnant motif. The O.T. tells us of various natural disasters or military actions that threaten the survival of God's elect. The “remnant” is that group that comes out of God's divine judgment and becomes the nucleus of a renewed covenanted people in whom the nation’s hopes are focused. I suppose the most common response to theophany—God's manifestations—is FEAR. FEAR will cripple you, even kill you. Biblical descriptions of a theophany commonly have an auditory component. The fact that such noise is made by the locusts (v.5) facilitates Joel’s description of the appearance of the divine army; theophanies in the Bible, as already said, have an auditory component. Fire is, of course, a theophany—it is heard and also seen. God's voice is also associated with thunder and lightning. Zion’s assailant is not nature per se, but the LORD of nature. A personal wrathful will is behind the disaster. Remember what Jesus said (Luke 13:4,5) in reference to a disaster with which His contemporaries were familiar? “Or those 18, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (the tower in Siloam was a part of the fortifications of Jerusalem). The whole conversation 13:1-5 centered around disasters that overwhelm individuals. Like the repentance that was called for in Joel 1 and 2, to avert destruction at the day of judgment, so Jesus tells his questioning audience, “There were present at that season some that told Him of the Galileans (His home), whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering, said unto them, suppose ye that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans, because they suffered such things?” Verse 3 He says, “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” And He repeats another similar story in 4 and 5. Pilate killed some Galileans, thinking they were insurrectionists. In these cases, the Bible tells of tragic events, not because of gross sins committed, but Jesus interpreted the fate as a warning to His hearers to heed the call to repentance before it was too late. You see, calamities are no respecters of persons. Even God's directed and executed calamities affect both guilty and non-guilty at times. I’m sure when the Romans, in 70 A.D., took Jerusalem, the hundreds of thousands that perished, some were not as guilty as others for sinfulness, nevertheless, they perished just the same. 70 A.D. WAS a terrible judgment upon Israel. In the case of Israel, it had the mission to take God to the whole world, but failed, and crucified their Messiah. Rome, used as God's army, laid waste that heritage of God—but later, God laid Rome waste. Rome, though herself guilty of every kind of sin and of brute force, would be a scourge in the hand of God. So it is today. I’m afraid the USA will be laid waste, sooner or later, because of her sins. We had better pray that we will be counted worthy to be part of His remnant. The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God. They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.” “I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the first ripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved. As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception. Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them! Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer”. “Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters. Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb. My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations” (Hosea 9:7-17, KJV). Hosea was a prophet to both the northern and southern kingdoms, in that he addressed both in his prophecy. However his strongest words were toward Israel, the north kingdom. His ministry began sometime during the reigns of Uzziah, king of Judah, and Jeroboam II, King of Israel. “The days of reckoning have come, the days of recompense have come, Israel shall know it. The prophet is a fool, mad is the men of the Spirit, because of the enormity of your iniquity and the intense hatred” (Literal rendition). “The days of punishment have come, the days of recompense have come; Israel cries, ‘The prophet is a fool, the man of the spirit is mad’. Because of your great iniquity, your hostility is great” (New Revised Standard Version). There are too many Christians, both Churchgoers and preachers / teachers, that see no need to study, let alone preach, from the minor prophets. T. E. McComesky, editor of “The Minor Prophets” (Exegetical and Expository Commentary, 1991), stated, “It is not difficult to understand why (the minor prophets has not enjoyed great prominence in the history of Biblical interpretation) this is so. Where is the edification for a modern Christian in a dirge celebrating the downfall of an ancient city? How can the gloomy forecasts of captivity for Israel and Judah lift the heart today? The Minor Prophets seem to have been preoccupied with nations and events that have little relevance to today’s world. How unlike the N.T. they are!” But he does not agree with what he wrote, he tells us, “a careful study of these prophets, however, reveals that many of the themes they expound transit the Testaments…they speak of the love of God as well as His justice. Their prophecies are not all doom, but are often rich with hope.” I totally agree. Ever since I became a Christian, Dec. 6, 1971, I have not only read the Minor Prophets, but also taught out of them. Even though their culture and times were different, I find their messages relevant for our times. They dealt with sins of fallen mankind as we do today. I have found that MOST professing believers dislike God's judgments because of their own sins they either hide or will not give up. As stated in other messages I’ve written, within the dark and dismal events these prophets describe and deal with lurks the hand of the Almighty God—who MUST judge SIN! Those old-time messages are not, as McComesky says, time-bound as we may think. I personally believe the WHOLE Bible, from Genesis to Revelation has relevance for us today. Friends, we NEED to HEED the ENTIRE Word of God, this sin-sick world sorely needs it. Hosea was such a prophet. He told his countrymen of his day that “The days of reckoning have come, the days of recompense have come.” The Hebrew, “have come” is in the perfect tense denoting completed action. It describes the action of the verb as certain in the mind of the writer while still future in actuality. Likewise, God has told us and is telling us that the days of His judgments upon this world HAVE COME. The literal rendition of “reckoning” best reflects the mental apprehension in the word along with its implications of punishment. Also “recompense” is common to both contexts, for vengeance is “recompense” of a wrong. What Hosea is telling his countrymen (and us too), is that Israel will come into the sphere of the days of recompense and thus experience judgment. “The prophet is a fool, the man of the Spirit is mad” (vs. 7). This reception by the people shows the sheer hatred of the truth! We have met with this verbal abuse (only worse!) over the years. They call us “hate messengers”, “insane babblers” etc. But this was, and is, very common coming from the “religious sinners”, (see also 2 Kgs. 9:11; Jer. 29:26). Did not the “Religious” call Jesus one who had a devil? Jesus spoke about the persecution of the prophets in Matt.5:12. He said a prophet would not receive honor in his own house or country, (Matt. 13:57). It mattered not what names the sinful called the prophets, there was NO ESCAPING God's judgments…unless repentance was forthcoming. The verdict of human experience, individual and social, testified over and over to that. God has destroyed, and will continue to DESTROY individuals as well as nations for sinfulness. WAKE UP AMERICANS! The moral deterioration of the individual, both “religious” and pagan, the chaos, fear, confusion, disease, insecurity of any society, its bleeding wounds, its numerous ills that ascend up to heaven, the hard-heartedness and sheer rebellion that plagues nations—are they not the inevitable result of a wrong course of thought and action displeasing to God our Creator? Is not all this the result of man’s will at variance with His will and purpose? You see, God's punishments are really His love. They are not vindictive as men’s are. There is never any spite or revenge, but pure necessity. Let us take note of the principle spoken in Eccl. 10:8, “Whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.” We cannot go on breaking God's laws, ethics, standards etc. etc. without getting bit!! As is usually the case, this negative attitude towards the messengers of truth was the enormity of the people’s sin. The prophets exposed iniquity and proclaimed retribution for it—that was love! You see, back then as well as today, a false prophet told the people good things, sweet things—but LIES! But the true prophets will not cater to the favor of the people...for money or praise. Verse 8 calls them watchmen, for the prophets did watch over God's people for the good, not evil. Yet then, as well as now, for most part, the prophets were unable to convict the nation of its sin and stay its ruin. The unrepentant people stopped the prophet’s work. The people’s sins were likened unto the corruption of Gibeah (see Judges 19), rape, murder, and dismemberment of the concubine in this horrible account, read Judges 19:30 RVS. Hosea likened that crime and murderous act as an appropriate analogy for the depth of the corruption of his people…so it is today! Friends, if you or I have to deal in God's business, and we do, we must deal with FACTS and REALITIES, not fairy tales and lies. Sadly, such people who occupy the chief places and positions in our government and religious establishments, and also the family (what is left of it!), dictate its policies—economic, political, religious, scientific, and international—and what a HELL of a MESS!! The tragic failure of our “Politically Correct” policies is literally destroying any chance of national repentance, therefore this nation will suffer unprecedented insecurity, fear, chaos and sufferings of many kinds. After all, who wants to hear the TRUTH? We would rather have our folly and naive faith in humanistic men. The spirit that covers America, and most of the world, is a faithless and wayward spirit. The seers of this so-called “Christian” nation take her into abstract speculation, and are not ethically relevant. Even Jesus pronounced judgment upon Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum (see Matt. 11:21-24). He also was out of step with the priests, both big and small, false prophets, and other religious leaders. He saw their darkened minds and rebuked them for it. So the war between good and evil, truth and falsehood goes on and on. The wrath of God upon God's people (and the pagans) is no new thing. It DID NOT END with the N.T.— “love and grace” as they explain it. You are deceived, the N.T. talks a lot about God's displeasure with sin and sinners. (Here are a few scriptures, Rom. 2:5; 1 Thes. 1:10; 2 Thes. 1:8, 9; Eph. 5:6; Col. 3:6; there are lots more if you dare to read them, such as the ones on HELL, DEATH, ENEMIES). God's wrath is the character of the old age and the condition of those who find themselves in it, I mean the unsaved, outside of Christ. But still we find wrath revealed against those who are of His household who commit sin and rebel against Him. This “love and grace” teaching has practically sealed this generation in damnation. When we reach Hosea 9:15, we read, “All their evil is in Gilgal, for there I began to hate them.” Israel’s captivity is a recompense for her syncretistic religion. Gilgal was a cult-site in Hosea’s time. Gilgal was also the site where the monarchy began. The prophet, in fact, delivered strong rebukes against kings and princes of his day (see 5:1, 10; he saw them as unwise in 7:5; in 13:10-11 he denounces them). The altar at Gilgal is where sacrifices were carried out. Gilgal is where Baal worship had been practiced (4:15; 12:11), and it was the place where king Saul traditionally had been publicly acclaimed king of Israel, see 1 Samuel 11:15; Hosea 7:3-4; 8:4. So, the prophet sees Gilgal as a sinful place where worshiping other gods and trusting in earthly kings and princes took place. I need not explain the rest of this chapter, read it yourself. The N.T. parallels this judgment upon idolatry….Jesus denounced it, the writers denounced it, and the early Church fathers denounced it. Yet in our generation the Church has many gods and goddesses. She has many “religious creeds” but few “righteous deeds”! In those days, expulsion from covenant privilege involved more than losing the land, it included losing God's love. How many in this hour are separated from God's very presence because of idolatry? How many have been cast out, cast away from God, by God, and they are just too DUMB to know it? Its distribution and degree appear to be entirely random and therefore unfair. Sensitive spirits ask if it can possibly be reconciled with God’s justice and love.” — John Stott, theologianTHE WORLD IS VERY AWARE of evil and human suffering, but few can grasp, even fewer accept, that God allows it, even promotes it, in order to get men back to God. Men, in this generation, want their own way no matter what. But our loving Creator did not create the human race for “their” pleasure, but for “His” pleasure. Of course this has been forgotten, but not by the LORD. When one speaks or writes about God's judgment against sin and sinners it invokes a visceral response…people react hatefully against both the message and the messenger. Had the messengers of God, thru the years, kept steadfast in warning the world about their sinful ways and the consequences to face, the world would not get so emotionally offended by it. Since we live in a selfish and “feeling based” world, men tend to evaluate whether it’s appropriate to speak out on such a terrifying subject as punishment. They get their feelings hurt. Sorry about that, but the truth is like a sword that cuts and a fire that burns. After all, God's punishment is His love. The basis of men’s evaluation should be whether His correction is morally just or morally right, not whether men like it or not. The Prophet Ezekiel states in 33:11, “Say to them; ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take NO pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live…’” As one reads the Judgment Words that the Lord has spoken to us and we are faithful to record and publish, these Words are both warnings and execution. Since God is both righteous and just He legitimately has reason to be angered by the sins of men. It would be an outrage, even a curse, to live in a world or a society where there was no law and order. You think it would be wise to live there but all societies would crumble without checks and balances, law and order, punishments dealt out to the offenders. The Bible tells us that God is loving and patient—long suffering with His creatures—but be it known unto you, sinning men will not, forever, get by on Him. There is a pay day some day and men will get their just reward. The Bible is full of the judgments of God. Read it for yourselves. In His great mercies and long sufferings, the LORD would warn, not only His people, Israel, but also the pagan nations, years, even centuries in advance before He executed His severe judgments. We live in a generation in which God is unleashing His judgment against the sinful sons of men. Years and years now the world has (seemingly) gotten away with, as the old saying goes, murder! But justice delayed is not necessarily justice denied. He will settle the accounts with all the evil done upon His earth—suffering and death will be high lighted. This is His season to bring accountability. His wrath and fury will be great, you and I can count on it. Don’t be surprised at the way men react to His judgments. As far as the sinning Church goes, you’ll get your just reward too. Sadly, the Church has been playing “nasty” with the world, playing the “whore”, so don’t expect God to overlook this, my dear sinning professors of faith. The Church thinks she will be spared His wrath, but read your Bibles, if you dare. See if the Lord winks at sin. Your sins cause and have caused our loving Lord pain, and pain you will suffer. “The greatest purpose of suffering in history has been that it leads to repentance. Only after suffering, only after disaster, did Old Testament Israel, do (pagan) nations, do individual people turn back (or to) God.” Lee Strobel, author of “The Case for Christ”. You’re right Lee, God's punishments ARE to get men to REPENT! Suffering is God's way to get men on their knees. After all, He takes NO pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezek 33:11). The LORD God is not only the God of mercy, but of justice, unless there is mercy in His willingness to forget the past wickedness of the repentant sinner, although this is presented as a matter of fairness rather than mercy. True, He is willing to forgive the repentant sinner, but this is balanced by the WARNING that if a good man sins, no merit shall accrue to him because of his previous goodness; he shall die in his sins. Ezekiel 33:10 and 11 is that the prophetic function is primarily the call to repentance rather than the announcement of God's judgments. Friends, today His judgments are here, the warnings have already been given, men have not listened. Expect to see things get worse! Ezekiel 18:23 tells us, “Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? Saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his (evil) ways, and live?” (Please read all this great chapter.) God is not “hateful” as some claim Him to be. Charles Templeton, once a great Christian evangelist turned on God, denounced his Christianity, and declared before he died (not long ago), “A loving God could not possibly be the author of the horrors we have been describing (to an interviewer)—horrors that continue every day, have continued since time began, and will continue as long as life exists. It is an inconceivable tale of suffering and death, and because the tale is FACT—is, in TRUTH, the history of the world—it is obvious that there cannot be a LOVING God”. (He states this in his book, “Farewell to God”, pp 201, 202). Does this, “CANNOT”, mean that because of the presence of suffering and death God is absent? It is men and women (and devils!) that bring such things, God only reacts to it. God is morally good, just, and holy, He created men and women for good, not evil. Men are unclean, unjust, unholy and too often, unloving. For God to delight in the sinner’s death is foreign to Him—but His holiness demands action against sin and sinners. First and foremost, God desires men to live UPRIGHT and LIVE. Don’t lose sight of this dear reader. Since His “loving” nature takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked sinner, He cannot have made a decree to abandon the wicked to the evil of his nature, and then damn him for what he could not avoid (some teach the false idea that God decreed some to heaven and others to hell.) For as the LORD GOD can do nothing with which He is NOT PLEASED, so He can decree nothing with which He is not pleased. He is NOT pleased with the death of the sinner. The New Testament echoes the same theme, 1 Peter 3:9 tells us, “The Lord…is longsuffering to us-ward, NOT WILLING that ANY SHOULD PERISH, but that ALL should come to REPENTANCE.” There you have it—God's love!! You see, the Lord Jesus wants everyone to hear and believe the gospel (that Christ died for our sins, to forgive our sins, to wash away our sins, and to give us eternal life). He does not wish anyone to perish eternally, as 1 Timothy 2:4 states, “Who will have ALL men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the Truth.” This does not mean that all sinful men will repent and be saved, many will remain lost forever. “The Bible tells us to be like God, and then on page after page it describes God as a mass murderer”—Robert A. Wilson (Quoted in: Carry Poale and Judson Poling, “Tough Questions”, Grand Rapids, Mich: Zondervan, 1998, pg. 12). Charles Templeton stated his opinion that, “The God of the O.T. is utterly unlike the God believed in by most practicing Christians. His justice is, by modern standards, outrageous…He is biased, querulous, vindictive, and jealous of His prerogatives” (Charles Templeton, “Farewell to God”, page 71). Others in our modern day echo the same opinion. Some gather up a long impressive list of atrocities to shove in our faces in order to PROVE that the LORD is FOND, even excited, of exterminating large and small numbers of people. Is God cruel, vindictive, and unjust? Certainly this issue is disturbing in a “human” sense, but not to the Creator of mankind Himself. Many exclaim that there is an ancillary matter that demands to be explored! God is brutal? Have we forgot what the Roman Catholic Church did in the crusades? (sanctioned by several Popes), what the Roman Catholic Church did during the Inquisition? That kind of horror, terror, death and destruction…that kind of bloodshed and suffering is REPUGNANT and ABHORRENT! All in the name of Christianity. I said in Christianity’s name. There is a vast difference between “culture” Christianity and “authentic” Christianity. Even Jesus made a distinction between those of His flock and those who “thought” they were of His flock. Please read Matt. 7:21-23. God doesn’t do so bad, say, compared to Militant Crusaders, Militant Islam, Militant Communism, Militant democracy etc…all in our “modern” times. Literally hundreds of millions have perished in the 1900’s alone, and men say God is evil? Whatever the Sovereign LORD has done and is doing and shall do will be done justly! God desires for ALL men to be saved—PERIOD—though all will not be saved because men choose rather to live in sin. That’s why God must do something about this nasty sin issue—it cannot go on unchecked. God desires for ALL men to be blessed, not cursed, but it is men who have brought the WRATH OF GOD upon the human race, by giving in to demonic temptation. ALL THIS SORROW, DESTRUCTION AND DEATH IS THE DIRECT RESULT OF DISOBEDIENCE, not because God takes pleasure in hurting and killing man. If one reads and seriously ponders the Words of the Spirit, one will see that God is just in His dealings with the whole human race. Also, let us not forget the divine principle of sowing and reaping (Gal. 6:7). Please be informed that it was God's Son (sent by the Holy Father) who “willingly” went to the cruel cross for the redemption (buying) of the lost sons and daughters of God. 1 Tim. 2:6 tells us that, “Who (Jesus) gave Himself a ransom for ALL, to be testified in due time.” ALL, my dear readers, ALL. How can men say that God and Jesus are evil? Matthew 20:28 also tells us that Jesus came to GIVE HIS LIFE a ransom for many! Many, in the sense that not ALL will accept their freedom from evil. Ransom conveys the meaning of a price paid to obtain the freedom of others. In the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ, His painful and cruel death is the price paid for the release of the human race from sin’s dominion, i.e., “captivity”(and from Satan and demonic powers). God's wrathful judgments are punishment, but they are not a punishing. What do I mean? I mean God, by His own deity, must punish men because of their breaking of His moral laws (remember, He made the rules, not man!). But He doesn’t punish men just for the “fun” of it. This is what hell is all about too, punishment, but not a punishing for pleasure, as some would have us to believe. God's judgment is remedial, that is to provide a remedy. It is better to suffer pain here and now, if it brings one to the cross, then to face hell in the hereafter. One of the modern Churches presuppositions is that God's love will not permit Him from doing evil. God does not “do evil”, He is morally righteous, it is men who do evil. His judgments are part of His love—they are love. Isa. 45:7 tells us that God says, “…form the light and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil, I the LORD do all these things.” “You see, General Jim, it does say that the LORD creates evil!” Hold on please—the correct Hebrew word for “evil” is “ra”, translated sorrow, wretchedness, adversity, afflictions and calamities, but NEVER translated “sin”. He created “evil” only in the sense that He made the above list to be sure fruits of sin. Some who read the Bible assume the unexplained is unexplainable. They stumble over the judgment side of the LORD. They let their “humanness” get in the way of “Spirit”. Just because men cannot (or too often, do not want to) understand the Word of God, they go about making it say what they want it to say. Too bad! The Word of God is SURE and will stand every test man puts it through. God will do what He will do, with or without our approval. This is His time to visit the sons of men with His judgments—nothing will stop Him. Don’t you think it is better to be on His good side than on His angry side? Emergent Church Ideophrenia —General James Green, Jan. 9, 2012— According to Webster’s New Standard Dictionary, “ideophrenia” means “madness characterized by disordered ideas”. “Disordered” means “irregular, disreputable, loose and unruly” (“disorderly” = “confused, unmethodical, unruly”). “Disreputable” means “having a bad reputation; not respectable”. MADNESS characterized by DISORDERED IDEAS! Ideophrenia certainly defines today’s Emergent Church. The core belief within the Emergent Church is the denial of Christ’s substitutionary atonement for the lost, and places Jesus Christ in the category of a “moral” example pointing the way in man’s quest to IMPROVE society and the environment. Along with this is the denial of God's Word being totally inspired, thinking it contains many errors and therefore is not reliable and can’t be trusted. They believe the Bible is not infallible, not inerrant. God is not the author of the (few) errors found in our Bibles, men are. Since God created the world and the people who occupy the world, He is / was capable of communicating errorless truths. We believe that the Scriptures of both the O.T. and the N.T. were / are verbally inspired by and of God, and are inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and the Christian life. These Emergent Church-ites complain that the Bible contains errors, that men tampered with the originals off the originals. Well, by the same token, these modern “scholars” and “theologians” go about changing what they don’t like and fossilizing what they do like. Is God the author of all this? NO!! Failing to Stand!THERE IS A MOVEMENT AWAY from the inspiration / inerrancy of Scripture, the virgin birth of Christ (though some still hold to this), Christ’s substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection, and the authenticity of His miracles. Those who once held dear these (and other) beliefs HAVE FAILED, as the Emergent Church advances within (too many) of their organizations / churches. Hence, slowly but surely organizations / denominations have lost ground to these demons. The ones who still hold to the “fundamentalist” propagation are called “cultish”, “intolerant” and “exclusive”. So what? Better to hold fast our profession of faith than to join the camp of BASTARDS—BACKSLIDERS— BULLHEADS!! It Has Been Said...CARL. R. TRUEMAN, VICE PRESIDENT of Westminster Seminary Academic Affairs and Professor of Church History and Historical Theology made the following observation (in fact): “It has become something of a proverb in evangelical circles that most conservative or confessional theological institutions have about 75 years of life in them before they evidence significant changes in theological direction…” Professor Trueman brings up Princeton Theological Seminary (founded in 1812), enjoyed orthodoxy for a season, then in 1929 orthodoxy vanished; Fuller Seminary (founded after WW2) was another one that was orthodox and very rigorous academically, yet in two generations its commitment to inerrancy, and other cardinal doctrines vanished. Today Fuller is sickeningly liberal. Prof. Trueman continued to say: “…members of the first generation (of an institution) were often bound together by common struggles…they knew who they were and what they believed; the second generation lived in the intellectual and cultural space carved out for them by the first generation but lacked the controversial context which bound their fathers together. The third generation has little or no contact with the struggles of the first and, in almost Freudian fashion, can actually find the behavior of their institutional founding fathers to be somewhat embarrassing”. Wow! (see WTS, “A Message From The President”, “Knowing The Times: Recent Controversies in Context”). Ideophrenia’s ImpactAS STATED IN MANY OF MY ARTICLES, the Emergent Church is inclusive. We see this at every turn, apologizing to the sinners for God's Word being exclusive. The following is a prime example: “Several months ago, four local pastors and churches from the Metropolitan Washington, DC area, held an open forum meeting, in which they, in essence, apologized to the gay community. It was reported, in the local, national and international news media that they did just that: “Churches’ APOLOGY TO THE Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) Community & Their Loved Ones. For too long the Church has been JUDGMENTAL to those who experience same-sex attraction and to their loved ones.” This has opened the Church door even wider for the inclusion for the gay-lesbian-bisexual-transgender-queer crowd…and we see the impact = the “perverting” and “pink-twisting” of God's Holy Word. NEXT, MY FRIENDS, IT WILL BE APOLOGIZING TO PEDOPHILES! It is one thing to bear witness to sinners, yet another to invite them WITH THEIR SINS into the Church / churches etc. AgendasBUT, YOU SEE, I am aware of both the Emergent Church and the political camp’s agendas—to destroy genuine Christianity! But these two anti-Christ camps have not counted on God's agenda—to PUNISH!!! Wait and see. To Be Like Jesus?ALL THESE CRYBABIES who accuse us of being hateful, unloving, judgmental, intolerant, bigoted, blah, blah, blah, are always pointing to Jesus as their “perfect” model. “Don’t judge us, just love us” they cry. They try to tell us that Jesus never turned anyone away. Really? But what does the Bible really tell us? “Let love be without dissimulation” (Rom. 12:9). “Dissimulation” means “hypocrisy, false pretense”. It is THEM, not US that are hypocrites! We teach and preach God's full counsel—they, only one-sided. Why do they avoid the dozens and dozens of verses that condemn sin and judge the workers of iniquity? Why do they neglect ALL those O.T. / NT WARNING Scriptures? Not only is love to be without hypocrisy, but we’re to “Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good (or righteous)”—Romans 12:9. If we’re going to use Jesus as our PERFECT model, then don’t be hypocrites about it! It says of Jesus in Hebrews 1:9: “Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity…” And don’t tell me that Jesus did not know of and stand for the Holiness Code (Lev. 18-20) that pointed out sinful actions, e.g., homosexuality and heterosexual sins. To dismiss judgment from Christianity is to slay orthodoxy. We can’t say we love God / Jesus while denying their character—loving righteousness and hating evil (see Prov. 8:13; Ps. 94:16; 97:10; Amos 5:15; Rom. 12:9; 1 Jn. 2:15 and Rev. 2:6 etc.). Sure, we’re to love the sinner, but to follow up with this love we must point them to the door of salvation—Jesus IS THAT DOOR!! Jesus says in Jn. 3:3,5 that we MUST be born again. We don’t get born again by joining a religious organization. We do it by confessing and repenting of our sins and accepting Jesus’ Lordship into our lives. Solus ChristusWHAT OF SOLUS CHRISTUS, salvation thru Christ Jesus ALONE? Apostate Brian McLaren devotes several chapters to this subject in his BLASPHEMOUS book “A Generous Orthodoxy”. This book deserves the FIRE! “Repenting” to the Emergents (especially McLaren) means making society and the physical world a better place—not turning FROM sin TO faith in Christ (or ongoing repentance thru the operation of the indwelling Spirit). “Evil” to these apostates is the oppression of the poor and disadvantaged. Well, this can be a form of sin, but the Bible spells out for us what “sin” is: it = sin nature and the eternal death sentence passed on the entire human race thru Adam the first. Obituary of the American ChurchA SHORT ARTICLE WAS SENT TO ME BEARING THE ABOVE TITLE. The writer points out three “demons” he feels that has caused the death of the American Church: 1) appetite; 2) affirmation; 3) ambition. He explains that “appetite” has birthed a culture of “consumerism”. “Affirmation”, a culture of “celebrity”; and “ambition”, a culture of “competition”. These demons are sure enough there. Old time Christians combated all the above—they saw them as the enemies they were (are). Did not Jesus get tempted with these same demons? Now these 3 have become American!! Now these 3 are all part of today’s Church!—consumerism, celebrity and competition. Now the Church, according to the Backsliders Brigade and Emergent Apostates, can partake of anything…everything is tailored to fit their desires, lusts, and personal preferences…the sights, the sounds, the SINS of Sodom and Gomorrah. And yet the “consumer” mentality is antithetical to the Gospel of Christ and Discipleship. The idea of “celebrity” is woven deeply into the American culture and values. I can expect the world to have their celebrities, now the Church has theirs—look at these pathetic souls, drug / alcohol / sex / $$ addicted! They perform and flaunt their particular brand of perversion…all in the name of God / Jesus / Christianity. Mega-Church growth, Hyper-competitiveness, where Biggest—Best—Most rules! Now the Church has competition on who can look and act the most weird—bizarre—sexy etc. All this boils down to: REPROBATE!! ParadoxPARADOX IS ORIGINALLY a Greek word which meant “that which is against common opinions”. The word has been variously used, however, to refer to: (1) the strange and unbelievable; (2) an expression which is at one and the same time both true and false; (3) a proposition that has mutually contradictory subjects and predicates thru appearing to be intelligible. We can certainly see that the Emergent Church is a paradox; the Emergent Church-ites claim to be “Christian”, even quote Scriptures (always out of context!), yet they deny most of the Bible’s contents. In “Adventures in Missing the Point” (co-authored by heretics McLaren and “Evangelical left” spokesman Tony Campolo), they do not hesitate to tell us in this book (which reflects their fatuous belief) that the Bible-believing Christian Church has “missed the point” on just about everything. Thank you, guys, for setting us Bible-believers straight! We really appreciate your strange/QUEER evaluation. Heretic McLaren asserts, “Not even one-hundredth of one percent of the Bible” presents “objective information about God” (p. 262). Well, the Bible is not supposed to be a book just about God, but about man, his/her fall, God's redemptive act in bringing them back to Him (through reconciliation) and how man should live thereafter. Friesen, a professor of practical theology at Mars Hill Graduate School (Seattle) and a member of the Faith and Order Commission of the ultra-liberal National Council of Churches, says that Christ was not interested in orthodoxy but in “a full and flourishing human life.”18 What must develop, says Friesen, is not orthodoxy—correct teaching—but a piece of Emergent doubletalk called orthoparadoxy or “correct paradox.” Friesen writes: Orthoparaxody represents a conversational theological method that seeks to graciously embrace difference while bringing the fullness of a differentiated social-self to the other. Through the methodology of Orthoparadoxy, competing ideas, practices, and hermeneutics are seen as an invitation to conversational engagement rather than as something to refute, reform, or revise.19 Current theological methods that often stress agreement/disagreement, win/loss, good/bad, orthodox/heresy, and the like set people up for constant battles to convince and convert the other to their way of believing....20 Orthoparadox theology is less concerned with creating “once for all” doctrinal statements or dogmatic claims and is more interested in holding competing truth claims in right tension.... Orthoparadox theology requires a dynamic understanding of the Holy Spirit. 21 ...see conversation starters where you once saw theological disagreement. 22 Emergent Church spokeswoman Nanette Sawyer has added another term to the Emergent lexicon of confusion and doubt: paradoxology. Sawyer is an ordained Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) minister with degrees from both Harvard and McCormick divinity schools. Sawyer, like most of her fellow Emergents, takes refuge from the light of truth in the caverns of paradox. Those who believe the Bible’s categorical, prepositional truth claims are arrogant and superficial, she says. They have not ascended to the lofty realms of higher knowledge that can only be attained by embracing paradox: There is a beauty in paradox when it comes to talking about things of ultimate concern. Paradox works against our tendency to stay superficial in our faith, or to rest on easy answers or categorical thinking. It breaks apart our categories by showing the inadequacy of them and by pointing to a reality larger than us, the reality of gloria, of light, of beyond-the-beyond. I like to call it paradoxology—the glory of paradox, paradox-doxology—which takes us somewhere we wouldn’t be capable of going if we thought we had everything all wrapped up, if we thought we had attained full comprehension. The commitment to embracing the paradox and resisting the impulse to categorize people (ourselves included) is one of the ways we follow Jesus into that larger mysterious reality of light and love.23 The Gnostics, who sought to destroy the Biblical faith of the early church by leading it to a “higher” mystical knowledge beyond Scripture, would be proud of Nanette Sawyer. So would the Church of Rome, whether 16th- or 21st-century. This is how we must approach the Bible, according to Brian McLaren: Drop any affair you may have with Certainty, Proof, Argument.... The ultimate Bible study or sermon in recent decades yielded clarity. That clarity, unfortunately, was often boring—and probably not that accurate, either, since reality is seldom clear, but usually fuzzy and mysterious....24 Find things to do with the Bible other than read and study it [and McLaren then suggests several that are forms of medieval, mystical meditation commended by the Roman Catholic church].25 In the recent past we generally began our apologetic by arguing for the Bible’s authority, then used the Bible to prove our other points. In the future we’ll present the Bible less like evidence in a court case and more like works of art in an art gallery. 26 In the recent past we talked a lot about absolute truth, attempting to prove abstract propositions about God (for instance, proving the sovereignty of God). 27 That approach, McLaren asserts, is passe in the postmodern world. Protestants have gotten it all wrong about the Bible, by using concepts of truth and error to “lay low” their Catholic “brethren” — Protestants have paid more attention to the Bible than any other group, but sadly, much of their Bible study has been undertaken to fuel their efforts to prove themselves right and others wrong (and therefore worthy of protest)...the Bible does not yield its best resources to people who approach it seeking ammunition with which to lay their [Catholic] brethren low.... How many Protestants can’t pick up their Bibles without hearing arguments play in their heads on every page, echoes of the “polemical preachers they have heard since childhood? This brutal leader was called by Rome “The Scourge of God”. Rightly so, for he made war against Rome in her last days. Attila hated Rome for her abuse of prosperity, sex sins, etc. Was God repaying Rome for her abuse / war against God's Christians? Forward to 2012 — Will God at this time allow (even promote) pagans to PUNISH this nation for her SINS?—especially the SINS of the CHURCH? I think so. God is just. Not that prosperity ($$$) is evil in itself, only because the LUST of it brings trouble. This cycle of prosperity, decay, decline is as old as history. Will man ever learn from history? Has not America come to the pinnacle of success, not giving God any glory? Now she is decaying, declining; constant war, indebtedness, taxation, sexual, moral rot, mockery of God etc., etc. America’s dream has become its nightmare. Depression, despair, defeat,...DEATH!!! Yet, the things I write are mocked. The warnings we put forth are called “fear-mongering”. To be sure, America has LOST its fear of God, its authenticity. Snakes, fakes and flakes rule this nation. Actually America has become irrelevant. While there is a renewed “seeking God” stirring, this nation has TONS of SINS to be dealt with. By and large, America does not want to hear about judgment. I say that they wipe their mouths, they claim they have done no evil, when the truth of it is they have done nothing that is righteous at all. I say they have brought shame to my name, and disgrace likewise.I say they have given themselves to all manner of wickedness, all manner of perversion, and I say that they love it so. But I say that I the Living God never called my people to such magnified darkness, no not at all. I say when it is me that you are seeking to please, to obey, and follow after of course you directed in my way.But I say if you turn to any other source, any other god, you are turning to deception. I say this day that I the Living God will be with a people who are ever present to give me the thanks and praise. That is I will be with a people who are ever present to be uplifted and directed, guided and purposed, in the strength, the truth, the blessedness, that is found in me.I say that I do indeed desire a people who keep their vision ever upon me. That is, ever stayed in the way that I offer unto them. I say therefore this day be glad that you can continue to walk circumspectly, that you can continue to be uplifted, that you can continue to be directed in my way. I say be thankful that through me you will be given the truth, the light, the mercy, time and again.I say if it is me that you keep your faithfulness unto, you will see that you are kept in my way. But I say if you turn to the harlotry, the idolatry, the abomination you will be swept into the sorcery, the witchcraft, the blindness, the stupidity, and the idolatry of the age. I say there are multitudes who are bound for hell because they have gone a whoring from me. That is, they have chosen to give themselves to full scale prostitution, and I say that they love it so. I say they are giving themselves over to a multitude of idols, and loving what they gain from the same. I say they are gaining the course of their own damnation, and blinded by pride in the same.I say this day that I the Living God do not call thee to such a course of destruction and damnation, no not at all. But I say that I call thee to be coming forth in me, uplifted, directed, corrected, and purposed in my way. I say that I call thee to be thankful that you can indeed be partaking of all that I give thee, for I am ever present to give thee the truth, the life, the mercies that are found in me. I say that I am ever present to ever be guiding, directing, correcting, and bringing thee forth in me.I say this day that I the Living God have called thee to be uplifted, coming forth, ever guided in the blessedness, the truth, the mercies that are found in me. I say that I have called thee to continue standing, declaring, believing, and walking in the truth, for it is me the Living God who has given thee the truth in thy life. I say if you cherish the truth, you love the truth, you stand in the truth, you will not be deceived.But I say if you are ever giving yourself to a multitude of deceptive spirits the same will grab hold of thee. I say this day that I the Living God do not call thee to walk afar off, but I call thee to come forth in the truth. That is, I call thee to be ever instructed in that which I give thee, which is the way of my life. I say that I call thee to be ever purposed in me, thankful day by day. I say through me you are given blessedness and truth, strength and light, and the mercies that I provide.Therefore I say this day, be glad that it is me that you can continue to believe, to trust, to obey for I am indeed the one who is able. I say be thankful that you do not need to be under the deception of the conception of wicked men. I say there are multitudes in this hour who are leading astray, taking away, those who are meant to be mine. But I say because my people are loving to be deceived they follow after the same.I say that it is like people, like priest that the deception increases because all have turned aside. That is they love to be eating those things that are degradation, to be partaking of that which is their own damnation. I say all the while they are claiming that it is me that they love but I say they have invented their own god. I say through all of their crafty inventions they literally expose their intentions and I say they are deception on every hand.I say when men and women turn aside from the truth, the light, the mercy I say they are turning to the way that will prove to be the course of devastation and despair. I say they have chosen a way that I the Living God have forbidden unto the sons of men and I say they are loving the same.Therefore I say in a wicked, a vile, a perverse generation do not give yourselves to any manner of harlotry or idolatry and be overwhelmed by the same. But I say instead be coming forth ever uplifted, guided, directed, and corrected by me. That is be coming forth made glad, ever thankful that I the Living God will give thee my truth, my light, my mercy, day by day. That I will indeed be present to uplift thee, bring thee forth, and direct thee always in the truth, the light, the blessedness that can only be found through me.I say that it is a good thing to be believing, to be receiving, to be partaking of me. I say that it is a good thing to be knowing that I am the one who is ever available unto thee to guide thee forth in light. I say that it is a good thing to be knowing that I am the one who is ever available to give thee my truth, my mercy, time and again. I say that I do not intend thee to go in a way that is darkness, and end in the despair of the same.But I say that I intend thee to be uplifted, directed, purposed, guided, and instructed by me. That is, I intend thee to be knowing always that through me you are given the blessedness, the strength, the truth and the mercies that I alone do bring. I say that it is a good thing to be knowing that I am the one does care for thee, that I will ever uplift thee, and bring thee forth. I say do not allow yourself to become a prostitute with eyes full of adultery, ever giving yourself to every vile thing that comes along. But I say instead be keeping yourselves in the way that is truth, the way that is light, the way that is mercy. I say be keeping yourselves in that which I the Living God do intend for thee, the way of my blessedness unto thee.I say this day that I the Living God will be ever present to bring thee forth in that which I give thee, that which is my life. I say that I will be ever present to keep thee from being mesmerized in the great idolatry, adultery of the age. I say that you do not need to be covered in witchcraft, taken in sorcery, and deceived in idolatry, if you keep your vision upon me.I say that it is me the Living God who will bring forth a people who are thankful to be kept by me. It is me the Living God who will bring forth the ones who keep their first estate, who are loving and serving me day by day. Therefore I say this day be glad that it is me that you can continue to look to, to believe, to trust, and follow after. I say be thankful that through me you are given the blessedness, the truth, the mercy time and again as you are kept in the way of my life.But I say if you close your eyes to the realities and think you get by with some little wicked thing, the same increases in thee. I say that as you let your heart go a whoring you will find you are taken in deception, idolatry, witchcraft, and sorcery, and overwhelmed in the same. I say the forces of darkness, rebellion, and hatred for truth are rampaging in the land.HAVE YOU BEEN SAVED? JESUS IS REAL!! You gave it away, dear parents, when you sent your child to public school, where prayer and Bible reading were revoked by the Supreme Court. You gave away your child when you allowed him or her to have their own TV…to watch MTV, or live porn and every other kind of entertainment from the pit of hell. You gave away your son or daughter when you sent them away to some DAMNED, anti-Christ, ungodly college / university… where they were indoctrinated in Marxism, Darwinism and politically correct “pink perversions”. Why cry tears? Why get mad? You, mom and dad, literally sent your precious babe, lamb, to the camp of the DAMNED! Oh, sure, we can blame the leftists, the devils for stealing your precious, but did they come to your home and snatch them away?.... out of your loving arms? NO! You turned them over to be raised for the world and by the world. Why did you do it? To turn your child over to demons and devils (in human bodies), knowing full well that the Bible tells us to raise up our children to love and fear the Lord. In fact, mom, dad, it was suicide. How could you ever trust America’s wayward institutions, seeing the kind of perverts they turn out? You ought to know that your national sovereignty and parental authority will not be honored. HA! You ought to know that your religious freedom is merely an illusion at best. Resist the Devil?YES, THE BIBLE DOES tell us to do so (James 4:7). But you, mom, dad, were just too busy to do this. Therefore don’t cry big tears if your son, your daughter have turned homosexual, lesbian, communist,… God haters, Bible haters! The Bible told you: “Neither give place to the devil” (Eph. 4:27). The devil is the father of lies—of sin. Sin is contagious. Train Up a ChildWELL, YOU PARENTS OUGHT TO BE ashamed of yourselves! You let the world do your job, and, I might add, you shepherds, Church overseers, spiritual parents, ought to be ashamed, doubly ashamed for contributing to the damnation of the youth. Not only have you advised mom and dad about how to raise their kids, (most suggesting the way of the world), but you brought the world into the church – now the kids can have the music, the garments, the piercings / tattoos, the nine yards of worldliness… all with the label “Christian”. Shepherds have left off preaching sound Bible doctrines. Now they poke fun at the Word of warning, admonition, correction, rebuke, instruction. Unchristian aberrant philosophies, with a few out of context Scriptures thrown in, is today’s food. The Great Commission?HA! SINCE WHEN DO CHURCH LEADERS SPEAK ALONG THESE LINES? (for truth’s sake, there are a precious FEW who dare to do this). We might as well call it the Great Contamination… making disciples for the devil. Ineffective and self-serving Churches all across this land are raising Church brats that know more about Rolling Stone (magazine) than about the Bible. Face IT!TODAY’S BACKSLIDDEN, EMERGENT CHURCH is not interested in godly instruction. Your typical church prefers, rather, to provide entertainment, and make the dupes that attend feel comfy and secure. Your hyper leader, like Brian McLaren and comrades, who promote “the way forward”, is a wolf in sheep’s clothing… taking you silly church folks backwards into spiritual and intellectual darkness. Face it, most Bible-believing believers know little if nothing about all this, this Emergent church Movement, which is currently invading the already sick and diseased “Christian” colleges, and seminaries (where maybe some of you sent your precious son or daughter). Whether you send your kids to a secular or religious college / seminary / university you can bet that precious few teach the Bible in light of godliness. While you parents—both natural and spiritual—are not interested in training up your child / kids, the devils within the mentioned institutions SALIVATE over the opportunity. The humanists, commies, crazies, perverts truly have a handle on equipping your sons and daughters. If atheism doesn’t ruin them, social religious training will. Their goal is to rape and ruin your mind. It was once asked: “Have you ever found in history, one single example of a Nation thoroughly corrupted that was afterwards restored to virtue?” We’re not speaking of a Nation that didn't have a godly foundation. Nations like these can be Christianized. We’re speaking about a Nation that had a godly foundation (like America did), and then left off following the ways of Jesus and greatly corrupted itself (like America has presently done). Can a nation like that ever turn back? The very things America fights and dies for (not in a Christian sense) are the very things that corrupted this people. Will anyone tell me how to prevent luxury and easy living from producing laziness (both naturally and nationally) intoxication (there are numerous things society can be “drunk on”), extravagance, vice and sheer folly? These things have literally killed the desire to serve and obey God. While Americans strive, fight and die for all the above, these things have literally CAPTURED / ENSLAVED the people. ARE YOU FREE? One author and critic, (and for good reason) has said, “…the average American male has become a feminized wimp.” Amen and amen! And, I might add, the average American female has become a domineering Jezebel. Man ExodusTHERE IS A MAN EXODUS from the ways of God into the satanic ways of the world. If it wasn’t for these Worldly “mega” churches, where falsehoods and filth are promoted, most church goers would become less and less. But still, considering the worldliness within the “mega” whorehouses, the man exodus continues… away from godly instruction, education and into socialism, evolution, sex—perversion, political correctness, situational ethics, post-modernism, blah, blah, blah. The Reaper is reaping his harvest. If God was to do what He did in Ezekiel 9, we would see very few marks upon the foreheads of the men (and women) that sigh and cry for ALL THE ABOMINATIONS that be done in the midst of America! Who is crying and sighing over the sins of this nation? Very few. And if God was to do what He did in Israel (Ezek. 9) “…smite; let not your eye spare, neither have pity; slay utterly old and young, both maids and little children, and women…” We might see a tear or two. Jeremiah (6:16) pleaded with old Israel to “stand in the ways,… ask for the old paths, where is the good way (of God). And walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” Am I not now preaching for Americans to REPENT and RETURN unto the ways of God, getting off the broad way, and getting back to the straight and narrow? What did Jeremiah hear from backslidden Israel? “But they said, ‘We WILL NOT WALK THEREIN.” And so, I hear the same… hence the pain, troubles, crime, vice, sickness, disease, poverty, and hundreds of other vexing and tormenting things that plague Americans daily. To top it off, secular (and, sadly too many religious officials), who RAGE against the LORD, against His laws and reign (see Ps. 2:4, 5), make things worse. The RAGING of the heathen is loud and clear. The fires of hell are burning within this nation—people imagine a vain thing; they think that by ridding themselves of the old paths, things will get better. HA! Look around ye blind guides / followers: your new gods aren’t pitying you. RAGE ON, perverts, politicians, preachers. Protest all you want, GOD WILL REMAIN IN CONTROL even when you are OUT-OF-CONTROL. To hell with you and your Supreme Court, who avowedly is against godliness. GODLINESS WILL PREVAIL; YOU WILL END IN HELL!
