To Tolerate Spiritual Harlotry Gen. James Green T HE MISSION of the prophet Micah was that of rebuking and threatening the complacent princes, prophets, and the people of Samaria and Jerusalem. The people had become dull in their relationship with God. Israel/Judah had set up high places of worship (forbidden by God)—worshiping graven images (Micah 1:7). "Image cults" were spoken of as religious harlotry. This angered the Lord for His Word declares, "Don't have any gods beside Me. Don't make an idol for yourself or any likeness of anything in Heaven above, or the earth below, or the water below ground level. Don't worship or serve them, because I the Lord your God am a jealous (zealous) God…" (Ex. 20:3, 4, 5, An American Translation). "And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot" (v. 7). The Hebrew word "hires" has a cult meaning, designating the gifts presented to the images. Here the word also means (literally) “the pay given to a prostitute.” Reference is to the gain achieved through practice of "sacred prostitution" at those "holy" places (sounds like today's churches). Evil Upon Beds Micah also rebuked those who "devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds" (2:1). This evil (whatever it was) was deliberate evil, deliberate sin…reaching down to the citadel of the soul. This "EVIL" is still among church people today, especially the money-hungry, kingdom/queendom builders. They, in our day, have made their beds the sanctuaries of the devil himself! They have grown dull, dumb, and complacent over the years. They have shut out Holy Spirit conviction, seeking material gain, and the approval of the world. So, dear ones, DELIBERATE SIN shall have (in God's time) DELIBERATE JUDGMENT. Micah 2:3 tells us that the LORD is against the family that devises evil. Most Bible scholars believe that the "evil" was exploiting their countrymen—devising schemes to defraud and dispossess their neighbors. When daylight came, they proceeded to execute their plots. This sounds like today's churchianity—rob and rape the people; live like kings and queens. Watch any televangelist for proof; go to any mega-church for proof. Look at how the U.S. government works—both church and state devise evil. In Micah's day, wealth consisted largely of real estate, which these evil people (God's people!!) had a mania for acquiring…by seizure, theft, or violence. We all remember Jezebel, the Queen, wife of Ahab, who trumped up false charges in order to acquire a certain piece of real estate (1 Kgs. 21), having the owner stoned to death. If the greedy clergy doesn't rob you blind, then the U.S. government will tax you to death (or the IRS will attack you under false charges!). All this came about because the "people of God" had left off serving Him and obeying Him, and grew complacent and became demon-infested. This, my dear readers, is the ghastly aspect of backsliding. This is how evil conspiracies are hatched against God, His people, and the world at large. This detestable, ghastly demonization haunts this nation BIG TIME! America has backslid; therefore, she is inebriated on greed, lust, covetousness, pride etc., etc. Her national heart has become stone-hard, full of lies, trickery, and deceit. It is time to REPENT America. There was a time, in America, that its national soul was wedded to honesty, honor, godly duty, and reverence of the Lord Jesus and to His Word. But the nation became complacent, dull, and dumb. So here we are: BACKSLID as HELL and ready to be severely judged by the Judge. Evil That Kills! There is evil, and there is EVIL. Micah deals with premeditated evil—the kind of evil which is deliberate, intentional, fathered by a conscious purpose, and a full awareness of both the pleasurable consequences to the doer, and the painful consequences to the victim. Is it any wonder that America is in pain every day? Would you consider this is the DIRECT RESULT OF THE WAY WE'VE PAINED GOD'S HEART IN OUR BACKSLIDING? Think for a change. Some evil is born of blind, uncritical, irrational anger, greed, or lust. But, far worse is the conscious type. I'm not convinced that America "somehow" backslid. NO! The church deliberately forsook His Way, His Will, His Word, going after the ways of the world. In doing this, we have left the world without light to walk by. In one sense, the church has murdered the lost. I don't care if backsliding was done under the guidance of purpose or impulse; we are going to be held morally liable for what we've done. The remedy is repentance—godly sorrow and godly turning back. Doleful Lamentation (Wail!) "In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields" (Micah 2:4). It must be pointed out that the word "parable" (KJV; "taunt," RSV) literally means "by word" or "word of reproach." Also, the word "against" literally means "on behalf of." The Hebrew should read: "In that day one (of your number) shall take up a word of reproach on your behalf, and will wail with a doleful lamentation, saying…" Don't you think it's time, Christians, to WAIL for the horrid condition of America? Don't you think it's time for intercession and travail? I don't expect the backslidden Church to do this, for she has gleefully brought ruin upon this nation. But God does expect His true ones to pray and lament, for who else will do it? Really, we don't need an outside enemy to destroy Christianity; the clergy is doing the job quite nicely. The "wolves in sheep's clothing" take delight in despoiling Christianity. Their selfish ambitions do the job. They only weep and lament when offerings are down. It is inconceivable that the lambs and sheep might need something better to live on besides their plastic food from Babylon. These lamb and sheep barons are cruel and deserve Hell! Be it known unto you churchites, leaders, God is not going to stand idly by observing all this wickedness (and you CHURCH-GOERS DESERVE WHAT YOU GET BY THESE WICKED LEADERS, for you have not sought God for yourselves) and not judge. The evils done in the name of both church and state are inescapable. At this time, there is an imminent catastrophic judgment in the shadows of the Eagle and the Cross. Arise ye, Depart! "Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction" (Micah 2:10). This is the terse conclusion to the address in vv. 1-9: "Arise and Go!," in the sense of "attention" and "march," are, as scholars say, commands the invading soldiers would give while marshaling their captives into slavery. Verse 10 tells us, "this is no place to rest" (RSV), meaning that Palestine would no longer remain the heritage of the Israelites. Their misuse of the "Promised Land" would be taken from them. This ethical uncleanness, rebellion, and pride forfeited all rights to that Holy Land. Because Israel's sins were so great (unconfessed and willful), Micah only saw destruction. HEY, OPEN YOUR EYES AMERICA. Hate the Good– Love the Evil Micah did not miss anything: "Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones" (Micah 3:2). Micah addressed the heads of Jacob (3:1), who should have known judgment. This very well could be addressed to the civil and religious leaders of America. They knew about it, but IGNORED it! The prophet reminded the leaders that justice in administration was an obligation (Amos did the same: 2:6, 7; 5:7, 10-12, 15, 24; 8:4-7). The only thing that the leadership agreed on was to HATE the GOOD, and LOVE the EVIL—this is ONE part (see also Amos 5:14, 15). The second part of v. 2 is graphic: "pluck off their skin from off their bones." Verse 3 is similar: "eat the flesh of the people, flay their skin, break their bones, chop them in pieces, boil them in a pot." We may think Micah to be a bit touched in the head, but he knew the leader and the people very well, just as we know those in power today. This present leadership in church and state, reeks of both the hypocritical piety and savage arbitrary barbarisms—DESPOTS!! Micah chose the illustration of preparation for a great feast, describing the rulers and elders as the economical cooks who go over every carcass of the animals to make good use of EVERY part—skin, bones, and flesh. DOES THIS NOT DESCRIBE THOSE IN POWER TODAY? OH, YES! Micah turns upon the prophets of his day (3:5), who make the people err, that bite with their teeth, crying, peace! It was the prophets who prophesied, "Peace and safety," when judgment was at the door. This is not all; if the people did not put something into the mouths of the prophets, they declared WAR against them (3:5b). Those prophets who satisfied the people’s exploiting demands were of a genial disposition and could say, "Peace unto you." BUT, to those prophets who did not comply, they declared a holy inquisition—in an attempt to impoverish and exterminate them. We've experienced this here in good ol’ "Christian" America more than once. Good Show Putting on a good (religious) show was another indictment against the (phoney) priests, prophets, and other religious diviners. Micah (rightly) not only accuses them of phoney piety, but of being as savagely avaricious as the princes he rebuked. Do you think today's (phoney) religious leaders really care for the flock of God? Do you think they intercede for the people to "grow in grace?"…share in the people's spiritual privations? "Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them. Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God" (Micah 3:6,7). Micah challenged the "visions" of those who laid claim to the same. Haven't we seen and heard of these "visionaries" of today—"I have a vision to BUILD this kingdom/queendom!" "God gave me a vision during the night—that you people are to raise 20 million dollars for this church, blah, blah, blah." Hardly ever was a vision (given by God) of humility and godliness, only something BIG and IMPORTANT: "My God is a BIG GOD," they tell us; "therefore He expects us to give BIG!" And so, the BIG SHOWS go on and on. They DEMAND and COMMAND the ordinary people to support their whorehouses, their whoredoms, their "ministerial lifestyles" which run into the millions. "Pay up or be damned" they might as well say. Micah pronounces darkness upon them—they live in spiritual blindness, so shall their "visions" fade and their "prophecies" fail…no longer will the LORD of visions and prophecies tolerate them. The curtain is coming down upon these same flakes, snakes, and fakes today. Praise our God!! These religious shysters were receiving their visions—revelations—prophecies, not from God, but from the devil (through the princes). Maybe at one time, God used these leaders, but their days of hearing and seeing from God were over. Satan and his entourage of religious demons will always fill in the space where God once resided. They were to end in shame. So it will be today. LOOK AT THE MANY BIG MINISTERS WHO HAVE DIED IN SHAME OR WHO ARE CURRENTLY SHAMED. Their lucrative profession will end as the PTL club's. His god "For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever" (Micah 4:5). Let me finish with this verse. Not only were "God's people" given to idolatry, but Micah speaks of "all people," referring to the Gentiles. This verse implies that only the Hebrews had the TRUE religion, and it was supposed to remain this way forever. What Micah said was true, for it was the Gentile gods that Israel turned to, but Micah let us know and them know, that Yahweh God was the only true God and that he (hopefully the Hebrews as well) would worship God forever. I can relate to this. Although the church has taken unto herself many foreign and false gods to idolize or flaunt in the face of God, GOD AND HIM ONLY ARE WE TO SERVE. Biblical Christianity and monotheism are one and the same. Polytheism and Christianity contrast. Other gods and complacency (or spiritual sloth) will bring the wrath of God, sooner or later. The Lord will tolerate this for a time and season, but not forever. We've got to trash this "What you think is right, is right for you; what I think is right, is right for me" business. THIS STANCE OF MORAL RELATIVISM WILL NEVER HOLD UP AGAINST THE WORD OF THE LORD. Israel needed to get back to their Shema, "Hear, O Israel, the LORD thy God is one God," which refuted moral relativism. This would have been called "Political Correctness" in those days, just as it is referred to today. One's fragmentary insight, his/her private interpretation, will not, NOT please God. But never mind this, today's backslidden, recreant, rebel church has ABSOLUTIZED this PC BULL! The spirit of freedom and tolerance must never contradict God's Word. Believing that we have the world and Christ is little more than a futile dream—but churches are full of dreamers today. Throwing the total weight of your ecclesiastical and personal influence behind Political Correctness, building of bridges—to "link up" with the ways of the world and the way of the Lord – is a waste of time. Either we are for Him or against Him; stop playing games. REPENT! Jesus did not pray "That they all may be one with the world," but: "That they (His people) all may be one" (in Him, and with Him in the Father; see Jn. 17:21). Micah finishes up with this bit of truth and hope: "Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not His anger for ever, because He delighteth in mercy" (Micah 7:18). Listen up America: Here is a challenge to us all—especially to those who take false views of the true Biblical God (who believe God never gets angry, it is only the devil; He would never punish because He only loves; America is a "Christian" nation; therefore, we don't deserve punishment blah, blah, blah). The truth is this: God is both "LOVE" and "WRATH." Stop putting Him into this "love-only" mode. He can and does heal as well as kill. His anger, after it has run its course, will turn into pity or mercy (after He has been justified in showing forth His anger). He is always ready to SAVE rather than DESTROY. Verse 19 tells us what His anger will do—"subdue our iniquities." This is the reason for punishment—for remedial purposes. WE SHOULD NEVER GET ANGRY AT HIS JUST JUDGMENTS—FOR THEY ARE FOR OUR GOOD (IF WE'LL REPENT). . Intro: How And Why The 60's Revolution M.T.W. There is no mistake—the drug oriented/occult oriented "Rock" music CHANGED America FOREVER!! This music was and is a part of the Bigger Picture—to seduce "Christian America"—to bring her down, down, down! It was, and is, your president Obama who has used the word "CHANGE" hundreds of times...meaning to bring America into a communist/socialist state. Satanic music was used (and is still being used) to degrade the population, get them on drugs, alcohol, and into the vilest kinds of sex. Hurrah! The church and state have now been conquered. If one notes the photo on the “People's magazine,” Paul has his thumb on his chin, a clear Masonic sign, telling all masons around the world that “it is time to KILL Christians.” John Lennon's hand signal is called the Hidden Hand of Jahbulon—secret Masonic hand sign telling that he (they) are a servant of Satan! James Green Beatle Hysteria! The 60s epidemic of the Beatle hysteria appeared to be nothing but a passing fad. Little did this nation (and the world) realize that THOSE "SEEDS OF REVOLUTION" HAVE BROUGHT FORTH AN ABUNDANT HARVEST. Those who are the musicians themselves are full of (hubris) pride—the very opposite of what Jesus wants His ministers to be. Some of today's "Christian rock" resembles the Beatle's Helter-Skelter. Family Roots It is a known fact that Charles Manson (the LSD freak who master-minded the gruesome murders during the 60s—the Tate-LaBianca murders). This particular murder case was very much connected to the music of Rock 'N' Roll and a bizarre religious belief. In the DVD I present, I mention the Order of the Templars (Ordo Temple Orientis). In the 1960's, in Los Angeles, California, they had a lodge operating under the name of "The Process Church of The Final Judgment" (see Life Forces: A contemporary Guide to the Cult and Occult by Stewart, p. 287). It is a fact that this lodge was infested with magic, warlockery, hypnotism, astral projections, hypnotism, music, Masonic lore, Scientology, and subliminal motivation (it is compared to the religion of the Yezidis, Gnostics, and the pallodists), of whom Albert Pike—who wrote “Morals and Dogma” (a 1087 page book [1950], for the Supreme Council (Mother Counsel of the World) of the Inspectors General Knights Commanders of the house of the temple of Solomon of the 33rd Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonry of the Southern Jurisdiction of the USA)—was once a leader. Masonry is a mixture of both Satanism and the Bible. CHARLES MANSON was a member of this L.A. lodge; he claimed to be both Satan and Christ (see Helter Skelter, Bugliosi/Gentry, p. 129). Vencent Bugliosi, the prosecutor during the Tate-LaBianca trials, in his search for the reason (or motive) found it to be centered around music—Rock Music (the Beatles were Manson's favorite)! Manson believed that Paul, George, Ringo, and John were prophets who received their "message" through music. He had that correct!! Code to Evil Manson studied their music, particularly the lyrics, finding plenty of "hidden meanings." He had that right too!! Manson used the Bible—especially Revelation 9, in which the Manson family found the occultist doctrine of the number 9 (remember the Beatle's song, “Number 9"?). In ancient (mystery) pagan numerology, number 9 represents the circle, which is a symbol of infinity/immortality (R.A. Anderson, in “The Illuminati 666,” explains that in the Zodiac, it is a 360 degree circle. Now the numbers 36 and 360, both important to astrologers, would add up together to equal 9—if their components were separated and added: 3+6=9, 3+6+0=9. The number 9 was sacred to the pagan goddess of death (see “Dict. of Symbols and Imagery,” Vries, p. 342), the underworld, and Hell—the burning place of torment. They have this correct. Sadly, too many Christians (and ministers) do not even believe in Hell or the Lake of Fire these days (write for our many publications and Discs on this HOT subject—you will be glad that there is an ESCAPE from these awful places IF one REPENTS of his/her sins and receives Christ as their Savior/Lord and LIVES the Christian life wholly holy!). Back to Manson (who is still in prison): he taught the immortality of the soul/spirit (which too many Christians/ministers today deny!!). The body may die, but never the soul/spirit of man. Of course Manson's concept was skewed—to kill a person or persons was to set them free, a blessing. It may be a blessing only to those who are "saved" by the blood of Christ Jesus. A sinner's soul/spirit, and eventually body, will go to eternal torments forever…FOREVER! There will be no escape! Nor will there be annihilation as some teach today. The Backbeat We've all heard, by now!, that many rock songs contain backward maskings. On Monday, Feb. 1, 1982, “The San Antonio Light” newspaper ran this headline: "Backward Masked Satan promos found on some Rock n' Roll Records." We know this is true. One can find SATANIC MESSAGES in many rock groups' music. Today, Satanism is openly promoted…even in church, even "Spirit-filled" churches!! Although "White Album" (Beatles) does not mention Satan, "Revolution No. 9" was one of Manson's favorites. Manson literally believed that the Beatles were looking for him—“the Christ!” Manson believed, and said so, that "White Album" contained the message to start the long-awaited REVOLUTION—the REVOLUTION that is NOW in America's government AND church. Manson believed the Beatle's Helter Skelter referred to Armageddon (Rev. 9:1); the "pit," Manson believed, was located under Death Valley, California, where he and his demented family would go and hide during the Revolution. He believed that the "SEAL" spoken of in Rev. 9:4 or the "MARK" would designate whether people were for or against him (Manson, the "Christ"). Manson believed that "APOLLYON" (Rev. 9:11), was he himself, the "KING" which is the angel of the bottomless pit. “Revolution 9" contains a message when played backward—the repetition of “number 9, number 9" says, "Turn me on dead man." Revolution 1 (on jacket insert) reads: “You say you want a revolution/Well you know/we all want to change the world…/But when you talk about destruction/Don't you know that you can count me out." However, on the record itself, immediately after "out," you can hear the word "IN!" The song "Revolution" has another set of lyrics saying, "You say you got a real solution/Well you know/we'd all love to see the plan." Manson took this to mean that he, himself, had the "plan for man" to escape Armageddon (as Helter Skelter). Count Me In THIS Revolution! To be "Biblically Correct," dear readers, the ONLY SOLUTION to the SATANIC POLLUTION is a BLOODY REVOLUTION!...the BLOOD OF JESUS cleanses us from all SIN! Count me in!! This verse refers to the ongoing work of sanctification within the Christian believer, and the continual cleansing through Jesus' blood for our inadvertent sins. Scholars believe that St. John was probably not thinking of deliberate sins against God, since he speaks of “walking in the light.” This continual cleansing allows us to have intimate fellowship with God (we have many articles along these lines, and also discs). Agenda Comrades Below is Manson's hand-written message (inspired by the Beatles) on the wall of the places where the murder victims were (his "family" were the murderers), written in blood were these words: "Death to the pigs, rise and Helter Skelter." New Age=Occult If one digs deep enough (into the occult world), one will find the source of today's occult madness—madam Blavatsky (who is believed to have started the modern New Age Movement in 1875); she started the Theosophical Society. Helena Petrovna Blavatsky worked in telepathic communication, serving as a "fulcrum" for "ascended masters" (started in 1867). This occult movement was hostile to Biblical Christianity. This New Age Movement grew into large corps of various occult systems involved; Planetary Initiative was considered a leader, set up by Alice Bailey (who considered herself "Christian!"). Bailey believed in and taught Blavatsky's writings. Marilyn Ferguson's "The Aquarian Conspiracy," got its name from the (so-called) Age of Aquarius, an occult system of many systems. Conspiracy Blueprint Besides Blavatsky and Bailey, much New Age doctrine come from George Gurdjieff, Pierre T. de Chordin, P.D. Ouspensky, H.G. Wells, Nicholas Roerich, and David Spangler. And, so THINGS were undone, unfettered, EVIL, and sensual without shame. I N FALL 1962, with his Harvard teaching contract about to expire, Timothy Leary set up the International Foundation for Internal Freedom (IFF), a commune based on one of Aldous Huxley’s novels, Island, about a druggy utopia. At IFF, LSD was being served far more than science. Trouble loomed. In spring 1963, the first adverse reactions to the stuff were reported. People never came down, had their personalities shattered. A new anti-amphetamine law had just given the FDA control of experimental drugs, and it began cutting off the supply of LSD. But Leary had his own supply and agenda: to turn on America. On Good Friday 1963, he gave students LSD in Boston University’s chapel. The publicity—in the Harvard Crimson and then in the national press—was explosively negative. Harvard fired Alpert on May 27, 1963. Leary was relieved of his dues. MY GENERATION In 1969, the bacchanal of 400,000 people was front-page news. “HIPPIES MIRED IN SEA OF MUD,” sneered New York’s then-conservative Daily News. Perhaps we were. But we were also enjoying the biggest coming-out party ever for America’s biggest generation ever, the Baby Boomers. And everyone wanted to be there. We were all caught up in the excitement of the moment when a window of opportunity—for drugs, for sex, for “liberation”—opened up and about 76 million of us scampered through before it slammed shut. But there’s a lot of gray hair at Woodstock 1998, on stage and off. Don Henley (b. 1947) of the 1970s band The Eagles is playing an age-appropriate, elegiac song, “The Boys of Summer,” as I park my car and wade into the crowd past concession stands emblazoned with peace symbols. “Everybody knows the war is over,” Henley sings. “Everybody knows the good guys lost.” But did they? Here they are, grown up into wrinkled, happy people, in neat rows of beach chairs, lawn furniture, Mayan cherry-wood chairs ($20 a day, $120 if you want to take one home), and Indian-print bedspreads scattered with Beanie Babies for their brood. It’s a generational Rorschach. You can see what you want here. HIPPIES? Woodstock ‘98’s got ‘em, even if some are a little shopworn. Head shops still line the road, and beatific teenage girls with daisies in their hair dance waving tinsel in the hay fields. Everywhere are tie-dye, suede, and patchwork clothes that look as if they just emerged from rucksacks circa Woodstock ‘69. DRUGS? Occasional wisps tell you marijuana is still around, but far harder to find (and of far better quality) than it used to be. “We went hmmm,” says young mother Susan Kaufer, eyeing her three kids, six, eight, and eleven, at the cloud of pot above their heads. “They haven’t said anything, thank god [sic].” YUPPIES? There’s a BMW 733i passing a Jaguar with a vanity plate that says INTRNET on Hurd Road. The only psychedelic Volkswagen in sight is a New Beetle painted with the logo of a local radio station. The satellite ATM van is as busy as the Port-a-sans. The concession stands offer pasta caprese, focaccia, mixed baby green salads, and cappuccino alongside the burgers and beer. Henley launches into a song called “The End of Innocence.” There are Woodstock ‘69 and Woodstock ‘98 T-shirts for sale, Woodstock license plate frames, Woodstock mouse pads, even Yasgur’s Farm Ice Cream. FREE? At the first Woodstock, drugs were in everyone’s eyes and the scent of sex was in the air. “You can get away with a lot of things in a cornfield,” Don Henley is saying on stage. NOT ANYMORE, THOUGH, NOT IN THIS CORNFIELD. Overnight camping is banned. There are no drug dealers in sight. Visible skinny bra straps have replaced visible bralessness as the women’s fashion. The lake where people skinny-dipped is fenced and posted PRIVATE LAND. On day two, one of the performers, Joni Mitchell (b. 1943), will note another change. “Free love?” she asks from the stage. “There’s no such thing now.” She lets out a high, wild laugh. “Pay later,” she adds wryly before hitting the first notes of “Woodstock,” the song that gave this day in the garden its name. Woodstock ‘98 is aimed at two separate audiences. Friday and Saturday are for baby boomers. Sunday will be Generation X day; it will feature a much bigger crowd of much younger people, traffic jams, an all-day mosh pit, more than a dozen drug arrests, the sudden appearance of designer labels like CK, lots more piercings, tattoos, and dog collars, a much- remarked-on beer ban, and newer musicians such as Janis Joplin-style belter Joan Osborne and several pop bands: Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, and Marcy Playground. That last band’s lead singer mentions LSD—indeed, he admits taking it. Hardly anyone cheers. Acid flashes aside, Day Two is the real nostalgia day, starring three Woodstock ‘69 veterans: Melanie (b. Melanie Safka, 1947), Richie Havens (b. 1941) and Pete Townshend [b. 1945), along with Donovan [b. 1946) and Mitchell, who wrote “Woodstock,” even though she wasn’t there. Lou Reed (b. 1942)—the former Velvet Underground leader who probably wouldn’t have been caught dead at Woodstock ‘69, is the swizzle stick in the day’s mixed drink. By this time in 1969, the first Woodstock’s fences had been torn down and the concert officially acknowledged to be free. AGING 60S THE GENERATION THAT lived the Who lyric “Hope I die before I get old”—sung at the first Woodstock—has on the whole opted to do neither. And let people jokingly refer to the event as Geezer Woodstock; boomers are the backbone of this production, running not only the 1960s-style rock show, but also the very 1990s live Internet broadcast. Now that they finally control the culture they once merely dominated, boomers are determined to stay on top of it. Educated, worldly, raised on breached barricades, broken rules and new paradigms, they—we—are uniquely qualified to deal with the new global society we were instrumental in creating. So we’ve become the aging rulers of a culture of youth. When the first demographic boomers turned fifty in 1996, FAR CLOSER TO THEIR SIXTIES THAN TO THE 1960S, as many have said, the media portrayed a generation still dancing away from maturity, and mortality, as fast as it could. “Sales of skin creams, suntan lotions, hair coloring, cosmetics, vitamins, and nutritional supplements are surging as millions of boomers join the battle against aging.” CONCEPTION THIS IS THE story of the Baby Boom generation, the 900-pound gorilla of twentieth-century America—of how it grew up, and of its profound impact on the culture, and history of its times. The Boom is usually defined as the 75 million-odd people born during the American fertility explosion from January 1, 1946, to December 31, 1964. That strict demographic excludes Americans born in the second trimester of the 1940s, after Pearl Harbor but before V-J Day, those members of the Silent or Swing generation whose beliefs, experiences, and cultural references formed the cutting edge of the Baby Boom. And that definition also includes early 1960s babies closer culturally to the next generation—the spiky-haired kids snickering in the back of the Boom room—the so-called Generation X. CONCLUSION: WE ARE NOT what you think. Although often referred to interchangeably, the Baby Boom is not the self-styled counterculture that flowered in the 1960s. The groupings do overlap, often to the detriment of the boom in general, which is more diverse and accomplished than the sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll-driven counterculture it ushered in. Conventional wisdom has it that the Baby Boom peaked as a social force in summer 1969 with Woodstock, and began a descent into drug-induced paralysis and irrelevancy that winter, after the famously murderous Rolling Stones concert at Altamont, California. In fact, it was only the counterculture alliance of anti-establishment radicals and freaks that ended in those eventful months. And radical youth were a tiny—if highly visible— minority. At the close of the century most of the counter-culturalists’ revolutionary pipe-dreams have been overturned or co-opted. The agents of that overthrow, it now appears, were the generational majority, who turned out to be vastly different than anyone expected. Tutu is the retired head of the Anglican Church of South Africa who is urging Anglican Churches to “UNITE” on HOMOSEXUALITY. Please Show Me EXCUSE ME, Mr. Tutu, please show me ONE Scripture in the whole Bible where Jesus, God, or the Holy Ghost, SMILES ON SIN—sex sins, at that! And please show me where Christianity is to put “unity” above all difference on perversions so that Jesus will smile. I don’t think Jesus was smiling when He paid the supreme sacrifice with His life’s blood, to redeem fallen humankind from the guilt and penalty of sin! Just WHERE did you get your religious degrees? What you teach is “Gay Theology.” Thank God! THANK GOD that there are differences, within the Anglican Churches, on this SICK HOMOSEXUAL ISSUE. Not every Christian is going to be brainwashed by the Homosexual Movement (HM) to believe in what God calls ABOMINATION!! “You shall not lie with a man as with a woman: it is abomination” (Lev. 18:22). (See also 1 Cor. 6:9, 10 and Rom. 1:21-29). Tutu, along with many other current or past heads of Church organizations / denominations, all claim that God endorses sodomy. REALLY? Please show me ONE Scripture in the whole Bible where He does...I’m waiting. It is heretics like Mr. Tutu who consistently come up with anti-Bible statements, like the following: “Please invite ALL those in Episcopal orders who are not retired, even those irregularly consecrated or actively gay; please, now I appeal to you all; do not excommunicate one another seemingly so easily. Be welcoming and inclusive of one another” (Church Times, Aug. 24, 2007). Tutu is instructing contrary to Scripture. He is putting “Gay Theology” above “Bible Theology.” Tears, Tears, Tears... THE OLD HERETIC concluded his open letter to Anglican leaders by stating: “Our Lord is weeping to see our communion tearing itself apart on the issue of human sexuality, when the world for which He died, is ravaged by poverty, disease, war, and corruption...please, I beg you all in our Lord’s name, agree to disagree, argue, debate; disagree, but do all this as members of one family. Accept one another as God accepts us, however we are, in Christ.” That conclusion is sheer confusion. Nowhere does the Bible tell us to argue, debate, agree to disagree, over sex sins / sinners for the sake of unity. True, we are to argue in defense of Holy Scripture, but we are also to SEPARATE FROM SUCH, IF THE OFFENDERS REFUSE TO REPENT! Example HAVE YOU NOT read Mr. Tutu, what the apostle Paul instructs us to do regarding sex offenders in 1 Cor. 5:9-13? Although Paul was not dealing with a homosexual here, he was dealing with a sex offender; “I wrote unto you in an epistle NOT TO COMPANY WITH FORNICATORS” (v. 9). Verse 11 is all too plain: “...I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man, (or woman too) that is called a brother (sister too), be a fornicator (this includes sodomites, male / female)...with such an one know not to eat.” Don’t have communion or fellowship with a sex offender. Yet we have whole Church organizations doing the exact opposite today. Paul instructed the Church leaders, who were straight, “to deliver such an one unto Satan...” (v. 5). WHAT? “That doesn’t sound too Politically Correct, General Jim.” You’re right, it is “Biblically Correct.” Why don’t you, Mr. Tutu, obey God’s Word? Paul goes on in verse 7, “purge out therefore the old leaven...” In other words, throw out all unrepentant sex offenders...ALL of them!! Jesus Weeping? HOW UTTERLY STUPID!! This is humanism! It is true that Jesus desires “unity” of believers, but practicing sex offenders, ARE NOT BELIEVERS—they are SINNERS!! Jesus warns that without repentance, there is NO salvation. Haven’t you read that, Mr. Tutu? It is true that Jesus accepts all repentant sinners as they are, BUT WE ARE TO STRIVE TO REMAIN SIN FREE! Jesus came to save us “FROM” our sins, not “in” our sins...and HOMOSEXUALITY IS SIN! (read Luke 13:3, 5; John 5:14; John 8:11). Sin Riddled! THE MODERN CHURCH is RIDDLED WITH SIN. Sex perverts of all kinds, plus every other kind of sin is tolerated today—all in the name of Jesus. This is blasphemy! The “Gay Theology” Church is false to the core (read Matt. 28:18-20; Mk. 16:15; Lk. 24:44-48; Jn. 20:21; Acts 1:8). This is the REAL Church for which Jesus died. Tutu’s gospel is found in 2 Tim. 3:1-5. Poor Chicago! THE SEX PERVERTS spread their sickness: “Lesbian Priest Among Candidates for Episcopal Bishop of Chicago” is the headline in one Christian (?) paper. Here we have the very Rev. Tracey Lind, dean of Cleveland’s Trinity Cathedral since 2000, is one of 3 women, and the only openly “gay” candidate, recommended by a search committee, the Chicago Diocese announced (August 2007). Blame it on God! THIS SEX PERVERT stated in an interview, “I believe that accepting this nomination is what God is asking of me, and I will strive to respond to that call faithfully and with grace.” This sounds religious enough, but it is FALSE TO THE CORE! Nowhere in the whole Bible do we find ONE time God calling sex perverts to a holy office. The God she speaks of is Satan, the “god” of this world (see 2. Cor. 4:4). The whole Homosexual Movement is ruled by the “god” of this world (see Jn. 12:31; 14:30; 16:11; Eph. 2:2; 1 Jn. 5:19), who holds power over, and controls, MUCH of the activity of this present age, AND THIS INCLUDES TOO MUCH OF THE CHURCH! All this satanic “Gay Theology” is ABOMINATION. “Canada Anglicans Say Blessing Homosexual Unions Not in Conflict With Their Core Doctrines” HERE WE HAVE another anti-Bible, anti-Gospel Church MOCKING God’s Holy Word. Their “core doctrines” obviously are not in step with core Bible doctrines if these perverts bless Homo unions. Better read Romans 1:26, 27 again, my dear Canadian Anglicans. “In typical liberal double speak” one straight minister said, “the same Synod rejected a resolution that would have allowed dioceses to decide for themselves whether or not to ‘bless same-sex unions.’” With All This Said And Done— MANY PROTESTANT CHURCHES are battling it out over same-sex sins. The Roman Catholic Church itself has paid millions and millions and millions of dollars out on lawsuits stemming from child molestations. One RC Archdiocese of Portland, OREGON has a legal bill totaling $118.8 million—that is ONE Roman Catholic Church, in ONE city. James Green C URRENTLY, THERE is a re-examination of Evelyn Hooker's research that was conducted in 1957 in which the American Psychological Association (APA) was greatly (but wrongly) influenced. This fraudulent research, that compared 30 male homosexuals to 30 heterosexuals, led the APA in 1973 to eliminate homosexuality from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSMMD)…and it impacted the U.S. Supreme Court's 2003 legalization of sodomy in Lawrence vs. Texas. The Research HOOKER, FRIENDLY to male homos and female lesbians etc., HOPED that "experts" would be unable to distinguish homos from heteros on psychological tests. Well, real and honest experts are currently re-examining her research and have found it to be SERIOUSLY FLAWED! But CHEATING/FRAUD isn't new to those who try to make homosexuality NORMAL, even superior to heterosexuality. We all (now) know about the Kinsey corruption. Alfred Kinsey was classified as an expert in his day—late 1940s and early 1950s. This was due to the notoriety surrounding his books: “Sexual Behavior in the Human Male” (1948), and “Sexual Behavior in the Human Female” (1952); both written while he was a "professor" at Indiana University. Both books were written based on QUESTIONABLE RESEARCH conducted by Kinsey. Today, his works are considered SERIOUSLY FLAWED, but then his research and findings were considered to be scientific fact! The same goes for Hooker's research/findings—but things aren’t looking good any more for those two frauds. (A short book to read is “The Kinsey Corruption” by Susan Brinkmann, based on the book, “Kinsey: Crimes and Consequences” by Dr. Judith Reisman). Alfred was considered the father of the sexual revolution. As an atheist, Kinsey was devoted to, and determined to UNDERMINE and DESTROY, the traditional moral (Christian mostly) climate of America and pave the way for the widespread acceptance of ALL kinds of contumacy. Need I say more about what his lying, cheating, fraud has brought about? Illness/Crime SO, DEAR ONES, both Kinsey and Hooker have been responsible (as parts) for transforming homosexual activity from an (mental) illness/crime into "acceptable" behavior. Thus, the church has now been infected with this contumacious, perverse, defiant, SIN! But, God's Word still condemns both homo and hetero sex-sins, for the Bible declares this: "Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality…" (1 Cor. 6:9, Amp). Hooker's study, as now being re-examined, shows, among other problems, homo subjects were easily identified on test protocols; her reports of how she obtained her samples were incomplete and contradictory; and her study generated results supportive of OBSESSION/COMPULSIVITY in homosexuals. Yet, Hooker did not correct those who mischaracterized her work—"APA misrepresentations of Hooker over the past 40 years appear to be more in line with ideology than science," writes Paul Cameron, PhD, (Family Research Institute, Aug. 2012). The Examinations DR. EVELYN HOOKER administered an array of standard psychological tests to hetero/homo men—a) matched age, b) IQ, and c) education. Over the ensuing years, her findings (which were flawed!) were followed up by numerous studies—all with her CHEATING AND DISINFORMATION. In 1973, homosexuality was de-classified from an "illness" into a "normal variant of human sexuality," and from a "crime," to an "acceptable behavior" in 2003. Nevertheless, her study falls short of standard scientific methodology. Those who have re-examined her study find it to be FALSE—choosing ideology over science and usurping professional concerns. Her bogus “results” that homosexual and heterosexual men could not be distinguished from one another on the basis of the psychological testing has now led to the PINK REVOLUTION we have today. Even current Prez. Obama has come under their refractory contumacy when he announced on May 9, 2012 that he now FULLY SUPPORTS homo, same-sex marriage. This "Politically Correct" move has helped to undermine the God-ordained structure of the family. NOWHERE in God's Word do we find any honor, support, or good example of homosexuality (et al GLBTQ). IV], 1994). Using Kinsey's report, the APA's fact sheet states that intense sexual urges towards children are not criminal "if urges persist, and only if the adult acts on or feels guilt or anxiety about these urges." How convenient for child molesters! Now, get this, the APA views "mild" sadism/masochism to be normal! (DSM S/M on file). SO, DEAR READERS, OUR PSYCHIATRIC "EXPERTS" BELIEVE IN TORTURING CHILDREN—IF THE VICTIM GIVES CONSENT, even if that child is 16 years old (or older; child molestation is ok at ages 12 or 13). Sociopolitical Revolution IN 1990, the American Bar Association (ABA) reported 80 percent of convicted child molesters plea-bargained and served NO prison time. Alfred Kinsey writes: "Patterns of heterosexuality/homosexuality represent LEARNED BEHAVIOR which depends, to a considerable degree, upon the morals of the particular culture in which the individual is raised…" (Kinsey et al, “Sexual Behavior in the Human Male,” 1948, p. 660). He continues, "Learning and conditioning…the first experiences, the most intense experiences…effect an individual" (Kinsey, et al, “Sexual Behavior in the Human Female,” p. 643). Kinsey further writes, "In general, males are more often conditioned by their sexual experience…than females" (“Sexual Behavior in the Human Female,” p. 649). Kinsey: Who He Was KINSEY WAS A CLOSET SADOMASOCHIST, BI/HOMOSEXUAL, PEDERAST PANDERER, AND PORNOGRAPHY ADDICT. In “Sexual Behavior in the Human Female” (p. 646), Kinsey admits, "flagellation, masochism, transvestism, and the wide variety of fetishes appear to be products of conditioning." The American Legislative Exchange Counsel (ALEC) states that "Kinsey's work presents evidence of illegal and criminal acts masquerading as science." The ALEC call his reporting "junk" science. I will repeat it again, as I do in all my articles, God will only allow so much filth and crime before He brings forth His judgments. Examining the Same-Sex Marriage Issue Gen. James Green T HE HOMOSEXUALS just don't get it! They are determined to call God a liar, as well as all of us who know what the Bible says on this same-sex marriage thing (S-SM is an acronym for same-sex marriage). To start this Bible study, I will present to our readers the following letter printed in a local Maine newspaper (it was sent to me by an old friend, Jim Cote, of the same state). Maine will vote on "gay marriage," Nov. 2012: “The authors of the Old Testament did indeed believe homosexuality was wrong, but your recent letter writer should keep reading (‘Someone's missing Bible facts on same-sex marriage,’ July 4). The authors of the Old Testament also believed that raped women should marry their rapists, that disrespectful children should be stoned to death, and that thousands of innocent men, women, and children who worshiped ‘other’ gods should be slaughtered ‘without mercy.’ In Leviticus, these same authors tell us that it's OK to enslave people of ‘lesser races,’ as long as they're not Israelites. What kind of moral compass are we navigating by here? In America, we have a Constitution that guarantees freedom of religion as well as freedom from religion. Not everybody believes in the Old Testament, nor should they be made to. To restrict someone's rights, you must show good reason to do so. A religious admonition written thousands of years ago by clerics who thought it perfectly reasonable to kill someone for collecting wood on the Sabbath (Moses and his accomplices) is hardly sufficient. The letter writer needs to know that Jesus said nothing about homosexuals. He did, however, have some strong words against divorce. But is there any Church out there trying to stop divorcees from marrying again? What would Jesus do? I know what he wouldn't do. He wouldn't try to disguise his prejudice behind a fig leaf of archaic Bible quotes." Marc, South Portland, Maine. Marc starts out his letter not telling his readers what the Old Testament authors emphatically had to say about homosexuality. But let me educate our readers here about Leviticus 18:22: "Don't lie with a man as with a woman; it is ABOMINABLE" (Eph. mine), taken from An American Translation (AAT). The King James version reads: "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is an abomination." Marc merely states that homosexuality is merely "wrong." He makes no mention (of course) that not only is same-sex sex (S-SS) an ABOMINATION (Heb. "tow ‘ebah"= "something disgusting, an abhorrence"). Again, he cheats his readers by not telling them that this ABOMINATION carried the DEATH penalty as Lev. 18:29 tells us: "For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations (read the list found in cpt. 18), even the souls that commit them shall be CUT OFF from among their people." This "cutting off" can refer to excommunication or killing! Does homosexuality carry the death penalty? Try this verse buddy Marc: “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both (same-sexers) of them have committed an abomination: they shall SURELY be put to DEATH” (Lev. 20:13). The word also refers to the sins of witchcraft, idolatry, adultery, incest, etc. (see 20:1-12). Our cheating buddy mentions the death penalty for those "disrespectful children," found, mind you, in Lev. 20:9. Did our buddy miss verse 13 on purpose? Sure! He also mentions incorrectly that "thousands of innocent men, women, and children who worshiped 'other' gods should be slaughtered 'without mercy.'" INNOCENT? THAT IS OXYMORONIC! Those people he described—"idol worshippers," were not innocent. Idolatry also carried the death penalty. Marc's Bible exegesis is skewed. Greater and Lesser Sins I HAVE DEALT with this subject in other articles. The Bible distinguishes between sins that deserve the death penalty (even some that are unforgivable!), and sins that do not. Marc did not inform his readers that adultery (found only one verse below his "death to disrespectful children"), v. 10, carried the death penalty (see also 18:20). Nor did buddy Marc mention Lev. 18:23, one verse, the homo verse: "Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie (have sex!) down thereto..." He, no doubt, forgot to mention this, for many sex-perverts do just that. It is called bestiality. Are we not hearing about the "right" to have sex with beasts? The KJV uses "confusion." In verse 23, AAT uses, "perversion"—"Don't have intercourse with any animal and become unclean with it; and a woman must not offer herself to an animal for intercourse; it is PERVERSION." IT WAS BECAUSE ALL THIS UNCLEAN SEXING (AND OTHER SINS) THAT GOD DESTROYED THE PEOPLE IN THE LAND THAT ISRAEL WAS TO INHERIT (see Lev. 18:27-30). If... IF OUR SKEWED buddy would honestly study God's Word, and not cheat!, he would not have a leg to stand on concerning S-SS or any other "pet sin." Some prohibitions found in the Old Testament were abrogated upon the arrival of the N.T. covenant. Our misguided buddy mentions those killed by clerics for "collecting wood on the Sabbath." We never hear of God ordering Sabbath keeping for any nation / tribe, other than Israel. Nor were pagans killed for breaking it; it was for ISRAEL ONLY, FOR THOSE DAYS, FOR GOD'S PURPOSE. BUT, ALL OTHER 9 COMMANDMENTS (SEE EX. 20) ARE FOUND BINDING IN OUR N.T. ERA. The Sabbath is missing. Some try to tell us it is still binding, but it is not so (write for our 50 page booklet refuting the ideology of the N.T. Sabbath keeping). Jesus and Homosexuality I GROW WEARY of pointing out our opponent’s argument that "Jesus said nothing about homosexuality / homosexuals." Our misguided buddy asks, "What kind of moral compass are we navigating by here?" A very "BIBLICALLY CORRECT" one, dear Marc. Please don't push this American Constitution stuff off on us. God's Word stands sure. Although much of the Israelite do's and don'ts have been abrogated, God's eternal laws never were. Adultery, idolatry, witchcraft, homosexuality, lesbianism, murder etc. are still BINDING upon ALL Nations for ALL TIME!! Accept it or reject it; they still remain today. Before there was an America, there was God/His Word. I do agree with his one point—the U.S. Constitution guarantees freedom of religion, as well as freedom from religion. But above this, God's eternal laws stand, not America's. I, for one, do not believe that we should FORCE everyone to believe/accept the Christian faith. We believe in presenting it as a higher way of life, but it still remains each individual's choice. However, we MUST WARN men of the consequences of breaking His laws. It is Marc's hang-up about "a religious admonition written thousands of years ago by clerics..." What do you suppose we walk/live by? Political Correctness? HA! Maybe sheer "human freedom?" If so, what will you do with those who believe (and they are not all Christians!) in killing all queers? Would not this be their "human right?" What about any sin (wrong as Marc calls it)? Do we really want a society where all men do as their consciences dictate? What standard shall a nation survive by? What about raping small/young children? Leave it up to skewed people like Marc...and nations would disappear. Question/Answer OUR CRITIC, who does not have the slightest clue of what Jesus would and would not do, asks, "What would Jesus do?" He answers by telling us, "He wouldn't try to disguise his prejudice behind a fig leaf of archaic Bible quotes." I might ask, what Bible quotes? Since our buddy lets all of us know that, "Jesus said nothing about homosexuals." Well now, neither did Jesus say a word about bestiality, child molestation, and dozens of other greater and lesser sins. Jesus did not have to mention homosexuals, for Israel had laws against that ABOMINATION, punishable by DEATH. Israel was not plagued with homosexuality like America is today. He could have quoted our texts in Lev. 18 and 20—from the example of His Father's Wrath against Sodom and Gomorrah, and also the horrible rape and death of the concubine. Jesus knew every account of homosexuality since He was the Word Himself (Jn. 1:1). Those "clobber Scriptures" that today's homos HATE, found in the New Testament, were not found even written in Jesus' day. Marc brings up divorce, so let us take off on this one. But, before we do this, allow me to give a quick Bible study, from the Old Testament, about the SIN of same-sex sex. Actually, our buddy Marc guides his readers to the central truth of the whole same-sex marriage lie. Jesus' discourse with the Pharisees in Matthew 19:1-12 points out for us that He, and the Word (God/Holy Spirit too), recognize only One kind of marriage: that between man/male and woman/female. 19:5 tells us, "...and the two (man/woman) shall become one flesh." Not a mention of male and male, OR female and female matching. Jesus could have pointed to other Scriptures that might back up the WISH of the homosexual agenda for S-SS (and/or same-sex marriage), but there were/are NONE. Period! Human Fact PROCREATION IS God's way of populating the earth—homosexuals CAN'T DO THIS!! The male penis and female vagina/womb are complementary organs; therefore, homosexuality is a PERVERSION. God's command to the man and woman, after godly pairing/marriage, was to, "Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth" (Gen. 1:28, KJV). AAT reads: "And God blessed them (man and woman, not male and male, nor female and female), 'Have Children,' God told them, 'and multiply and fill the earth...'" No mention of same-sex sex, or same-sex marriage. Homosexuality (both male/female) constitutes sexual LUST for its own sake, not God's. Actually, it is, as one Bible scholar says, "little more than unbridled lust, void of societal responsibility." Amen to that! Instead of populating the earth, homosexuals are depopulating it with AIDS—they are MURDERING their own kind and at an alarming rate. Semen ejaculated without fulfilling God’s intended purpose is not a blessing, but a sin...for it was given for a purpose—for procreation. Moreover, since only the female (fertile) can provide the needed fruitful field capable of sustaining the growth of the seed of man, ALL unions that did not have procreation in view were forbidden—according to Jewish Philo and others. Within the Greek/Roman world, this held true too, but there was widespread homosexuality as well as adultery and other sex-sins. In Plato's "Laws," statement 636 C went like this: "When male unites with female for procreation, the pleasure experienced is held to be in accordance with nature (kata physin), but [it is] contrary to nature (para physin) when male mates with male, or female with female." Of course, Plato was concerned with national growth and stability, not merely self-indulgent lust. This is exactly what the whole homosexual movement is about—to destabilize the family unit, turning men's godly affections and love away from their wives (or reverse—vice versa) and from child birthing and nurturing of children. Musonius Rufus THE FIRST-CENTURY Stoic philosopher penned this: “Men who are not wanton or immoral are bound to consider sexual intercourse justified only when it occurs in marriage and is indulged in for the purpose of begetting children, since that is lawful, but unjust and unlawful when it is mere pleasure-seeking, even in marriage. But of all sexual relations, those involving adultery are most unlawful, and no more tolerable are those involving males with males—because the daring and flagrant art is contrary to nature (para physin; XII)” (This is a modified translation of C. Lutz, 1947). One might also want to look up a later work, “The Pseudo-Lucianic Amores” or "Affairs of the Heart" (Ca. 300 C.E.) Nations Worldwide condemned homosexuality, even though many were plagued with it. All this homo stuff that is passed off as "love," is UNLAWFUL in God's sight. Sheer WANTONNESS (tryphe; or: softness, daintiness, luxury, and indulgence) transgresses the laws of God and nature, (ten physin auten parenomesen). When ONE nature comes together, it is an ABOMINATION, and a DISGRACE, to the human race. The homosexual movement/agenda could be classified as sacrilege, the worship/idolatry of unlawful sex, sex against God and nature. One only needs to read Romans chapter one to see the many similarities with Paul's presentation. Vv. 18-32 [presents] sinful passions for the same sex as a devolution from anatomical and procreative fittedness of male and female present in nature ever since creation. The obscuring of gender differentiation through S-SS is an offence to God and humanity. God created male/female for pairs, not for LUST. And the sin to feminize the passive partner, that is male= "soft one," female="butch" is out of order. And the transgender becomes a deformed person. This was never God's intent, despite what all these perverts tell us. They are really sick indeed! Pederastic S-SS PHILO'S COMMENT on Lev. 20:13: "When a man lies with another man as with a woman, both do something abominable and must be KILLED" (AAT). Philo sees the Holiness Code/Law as justified in condemning the active and older lover in pederastic same-sex sex: "He pursues a pleasure that is contrary to nature and does his part to make the cities desolate and empty...by destroying the procreative sperm...and allows the fruitful fields (of women) to lie barren...no growth can be expected..." (Spec. Laws 3.39). Actually, there are volumes out there that can be quoted from, that refute same-sex sex. Much comes from the non-Christian world, not from the Bible alone. I will challenge any and all to debate this in writing. You see, Jesus did not need to mention homosexuals or homosexuality; history did it for Him. All these sex perverts today totally avoid/overlook the anatomical complementarity, or fittedness ,of the male and female sex organs. A man's penis is not to penetrate a man's butt hole—putting it bluntly; the same goes for what women do to themselves. Witness of Jesus the Christ It tires me to read such biased and bigoted writing from the Queer Camp. They never put forth an honest exegesis. These perverts put a positive spin on the silence of Jesus regarding homosexuality—as we're seeing from the letter in question. It is debated that Mark 9:42, "Causing one of these little ones to sin" originally referred to pederasty, at least it is possible, as Prof. Robert Gagnon footnotes in his book, "The Bible and Homosexual Practice." Based on a parallel with a text from the Babylonian Talmud (b. Nid. 13b. cf. Will Deming, (Mark 9:42-10:12; Mt. 5:27-32 "A first-Century Discussion of Male Sexuality," NTS 36 (1990): 130-41). "The offense against the 'little ones'...appears to be either pederasty or some other form of (heterosexual) child molestation, equivalent to the rabbinic 'playing with children'" (ibid., 134). Thomas E. Schmidt, who wrote "Straight and Narrow? Compassion and Clarity in the Homosexual Debate" (1995) appears to accept the connection between Mk. 9:42 and pederasty (pp. 93-94). I personally don't know. Some scholars believe the "little ones" refers to Jesus' disciples, as Will Deming relates in his book listed above (p. 138). He appears to be unsettled on this text. The text found in Zech. 13:7 (part of which is quoted in Mk. 14:27) mentions the "little ones," probably referring in context to the one third of the Israelites who will be severely purified, but not destroyed by God's judgment (see Carol and Eric Meyers, Zechariah 9-14 (1993). Others interpret it to mean "those who play with children" refer to "those who marry young girls who have not yet reached the age of child bearing" (hello Muhammad!). All in all, the suggestion that Mk. 9:42 originally referred to pederasty is possible, but not probable. I would suggest you purchase any of Prof. Gagnon's books against the revised view (Politically Correct Bull) of "The Bible's position on homosexuality," plus T.E. Schmidt's book already mentioned, Vern L. Bullough's "Homosexuality: A History," Charles W. Keysor's "What You Should Know About Homosexuality," Jeffrey Satinover's "Homosexuality and the Politics of Truth," Donald J. Wold's "Out of Order," and James B. Young's "Homosexuality." I'm sure you'll see right through all the "Revised" authors like Walter Wink, Robin Scroggs, Pim Pronk, Martti Nissinen, David Greenburg, Victor Paul Furnish, George Edwards, William Countryman, John Boswell (whom I critique in several of our Gay Way booklets—he died of AIDS), Sherwin D. Bailey—Boswell's mentor, and Dennis Altman. There are several lesbian authors that hold to the "Revised" view—especially Bernadette Brooten's "Homoeroticism" (1996), who actually defends Paul's condemnation found in Romans one. Although her arguments for homosexuality are flawed; of course, she is a strong advocate for the view that Rom. 1:26-32 "directly recalls" Lev. 18:22 and 20:13 (which we've already discussed). "Brooten believes that Paul's connection to the Holiness Code constitutes a good reason for disregarding Paul's stance on same-sex intercourse. Such connections, she argues, demonstrate that Paul's position was based on antiquated views of impurity, defilement, and shame that cannot be considered normative for our own time. With regard to the forbidden sexual relations in Lev. 20, Brooten contends that neither age nor consent factored into penalties...for Paul, consent and coercion do not play a role in his condemnation of homoeroticism," writes Prof. Gagnon. (See Brooten's "Love Between Women" for more details). JESUS DID NOT HAVE TO MENTION HOMO SAME-SEX MARRIAGE; HE HAD A GOOD REASON FOR BEING SILENT. THERE WAS, IN HIS DAY, NO SUCH THING—MARRIAGE WAS BETWEEN MAN AND WOMAN. This is why He mentions marriage and divorce between opposite sexes. Our opponents try and make it appear that Jesus wasn't against this gross abomination. HA! His silence does no such thing. The word "silence" can only be used in a very constricted sense. Just because Jesus made no direct comment on S-SM (same-sex marriage) does not make Him agreeable with it. He, Himself lived when the Mosaic law/Holiness Code was in effect. His appeal to Gen. 1:27 and 2:24 in His divorce discussion (Mk. 10:1-12) CONFIRMS His embrace of an exclusively heterosexual model of monogamy. You perverts who try to insert your sick and disgusting opinions into The Word only makes you look foolish. He very well could have mentioned same-sex marriage right there, if He approved of such a thing. His silence reinforces His approval for male/female marriage. Same-sex marriage never entered His mind. Frankly... JESUS WAS never shy about expressing his DISAPPROVAL of the sins of His day, but same-sex marriage was not common; hence, His silence should not seem unusual. The woman caught in adultery—a sex-sin requiring death, is a good case-in-point of Jesus' mercy—although He clearly maintained His opposition to such..."Go and SIN no more!" But at no time did He overturn a specific prohibition of the law against unlawful sex. Gagnon points out that the "ban on divorce is not an exception here because the Mosaic law neither prohibited permanent marriages nor commanded divorce; it only allowed divorce." Extant Jesus Tradition THERE ARE NO explicit references to S-SS in extant Jesus tradition; implicit references do exist. Our opponents ought to study Mark 7:21-23, one of several vice lists found in the New Testament. Here in Mark 7, Jesus points out what DEFILES a person: "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man." Note the order here: "evil thoughts" (porn/lust?), "adulteries," "fornications"—all sex-sins. Some translations state: “sexual immoralities (porneiai), adulteries, licentiousness”...NO first-century Jew could have spoken of "porneiai" (plural) without having in mind the list of FORBIDDEN sexual offences in Lev. 18 and 20 (e.g., incest, adultery, same-sex sex, bestiality). In this particular saying, the sin of adultery is listed separately, so the plural likely has incest most in view, along with S-SS and bestiality, probably also fornication and prostitution. So, Jesus' statement underscores that unlawful sexual behavior DOES MATTER. I grant you, JESUS DID HAVE HOMOSEXUALITY IN MIND WHEN HE PUT FORTH THAT VICE LIST. Our opponents are free to imply (with written texts) whatever they wish, but they forbid us if we imply. Jesus did not have to utter the precise word/words—homosexual/homosexuality—to make His point. But we find NO reference in writing, nor in implication honoring, condoning, or blessing homosexuals/homosexuality. NOWHERE in the entire Bible do we find it, explicit or implicit. Mark 10 IN MARK 10:19, Jesus speaks of the Decalogue—including the prohibition of adultery. It is, as many Bible scholars believe, probable that implicit in Jesus' embrace of the 7th commandment against adultery, was a rejection of ALL same-sex sex. Vice lists appear in Palestinian Jewish literature besides the Bible. Paul uses several vice lists in which they all start with unlawful sex. While Jesus does not address same-sex sex/marriage explicitly, His silence can be taken as ACCEPTANCE of the Levitical standards, and what implicit evidence remains builds up this conclusion. Strong implicit evidence is found in the divorce texts in Mark 10:1-12 is settled. So Far— JESUS ACCEPTED the model for marriage and sexual union presented in Gen. 1 and 2. He KNEW that God ordained man and woman, not man and man/woman and woman, "from the beginning of creation" (Mk. 10:6). He shows no awareness, let alone acceptance, of any other pairing/union. You perverts that deny this, deny truth. I challenge you to produce just ONE verse, implicit or explicit stating otherwise. I'm yet to get one challenge over the years. Oh, a few use some lame examples, but nothing to prove their point of view. To undermine the saying in Mk. 10:1-12, pro-homo advocates/homosexuals tell us that Jesus did not utter these Words (like those "Jesus Seminar" perverts). Jesus understood and taught sexual ethics which disallowed same-sex unions/same-sex sex; He stood firmly upon the monogamous marriage between man and woman. ADAM AND EVE WERE THE ONLY MODEL FOR MARRIAGE, NOT ADAM AND STEVE. Marriage between the opposite sex, two genders, is what God intends. Frankly, I find nowhere in Genesis to accommodate an etiology—a study of causes, for same-sex unions. Jesus held up only ONE, I repeat, ONE model for sexual union. Sexually Tolerant Jesus? NOW TO the heart of the whole matter: Was/is Jesus, tolerant of sex-sins? Do we have any proof? We now have an army of homos and pro-homos who have enlisted in his "Tolerant Army" with Captain ‘Jesus’ in lead. The enlistees are in open celebration of homosexuality (with ‘Jesus'’ counterpart Prez Obama signing new laws—prohibiting Biblical laws). This "Pink jihad" against Christianity and God's created order for man/woman, is turning into a global cultural agenda—all this "pink perversion" is the direct result of "since Jesus never mentions homosexuality, nor does He specifically condemn it, it must be legitimate in His eyes." I ask, just when did Jesus, God, or God's Word, begin to TOLERATE sexual perversions/sins, homo or hetero? If this can't be answered, we conclude, He DOES NOT CONDONE any of it at all. Period! Because Jesus had mercy on the woman caught in adultery, our opponents believe He, too, condones homosexuality. They are missing a vital point Jesus made, or rather, the statement He made—"Go and SIN NO MORE" (John 8:3-11). I've already written on this account, so I won't go any further here. Our opponents, in quoting this discourse, always leave out (in v. 11), "Go, and sin no more." This destroys their "tolerant Jesus." Truthfully, Jesus was more strict, not more lenient, on such matters—more so than His Jewish contemporaries. Note how the Jews brought only the guilty woman, not the man. Could one of their Jewish leaders be the partner in adultery? Concerning the divorce issue, this is a long drawn out study—in which I will not to engage here. But the truth is, His discussion reinforces man and woman relations, not man and man. One thing He does mention—adultery is sin. He was not tolerant on this issue, so why should He be on same-sex sex/marriage? Jesus did not condone adultery, but He did uphold the sanctity of the marriage vow. It is really rebellious to question homosexuality as being honorable. It was not, nor will it ever be. America (or any other nation) can pass laws favoring this abomination—THIS IN NO WISE MAKES IT ACCEPTABLE. Thoughts and Actions IT IS HONORABLE to confine sexual intercourse to one's wife/husband, and it is also honorable to constrain one's sexual thoughts as well. Jesus, as you know, actually expounded parts of the law—thinking about adultery=doing it. Today's culture (Church included) has "released the Beast." Those who believe "committing adultery" is greater than doing the same in one's heart, Jesus said they are equal. "Heart adultery" can be done without public manifestation, but "body adultery" can't. Nevertheless, Jesus condemns both (see Mt. 5:27, 28). In versus 5:29-30, could "eye" refer to a lustful glance (today it would be porn viewing, no doubt!), the "hand" to masturbation? Could the "foot" refer to walking/running to do the act? Out of the Kingdom MY IMPRESSION of Matt. 5:27-32 is that of a serious warning against sin, sex-sins included. Especially sex-sins, with the same or opposite sex, could, and would jeopardize one's entrance into and being rejected out of the Kingdom of God. For those of you who have a twisted/perverted/skewed view of God's Word, you have already jeopardized yourselves. Jesus was not "tolerant" of sex-sins; He extolled the virtues, and warned against the vices. One reason Jesus showed mercy (for which He came and died for) was that immediate capital punishment (stoning the adulterous woman) did not provide the offender with a second chance to REPENT. But this in no wise makes Jesus "tolerant" of sin. THE UNREPENTANT SINNER WILL PAY IN THE AFTER LIFE. Again, Jesus came to redeem the lost sinner, not kill them. But this is no reason to believe that He was "soft" on sin. HE ADVOCATED MERCY, AS WE HERE DO, AS A MEANS OF STIMULATING REPENTANCE, rather than approve the death penalty. Jesus was a preacher of repentance, not of death to the sinner. Yet, He never failed to WARN the sinners of the consequence of failing to repent: HELL! Pink Gyrations IT IS UNBELIEVABLE how much gyrating the homo camp goes into to justify their rebellious lifestyle. They even have raised up champions in the Church to PROVE us wrong. They are not proving us wrong; they are fighting God and His Word. There is not a single verse in the whole Bible that condones homosexuality; no model for a "gay" lifestyle, no example of virtue, nothing, only a blanket condemnation. Sure, their Bible champions read into Scriptures what THEY want them to say (eisegesis), but this only proves them to be misotheists—haters of God! Jesus spoke of Sodom and Gomorrah (Lk. 17:28-32; Matt. 10:15; 11:24; Mk. 6:11), presenting the SIN that brought about the total destruction because of their homosexuality. And don't even attempt to tell us that Sodom and Gomorrah's SIN wasn't homosexuality, only a lack of hospitality. How absurd! Sodom and Gomorrah were known for their extreme evil. There are numerous verses that prove this out. Their abominations were all forms of sexual immorality. The Bible tells us that "the men of Sodom were great sinners," and in their wickedness, "they passed wisdom by," and they "acted arrogantly...notorious for their vices" (see Gen. 19:4-11). Of course, there were other sins, but sexual immorality was THE SIN that brought destruction. So much for God accepting this ABOMINATION. Why didn't Jesus lift up Sodom and Gomorrah as models for morality? If one cares to check out the list for forbidden sexual relations in Lev. 18:6-23, which characterizes all of the preceding acts as "abominations" (to ‘ebot, 18:24-30, with the plural appearing in 18:26, 27, 29, 30), one will see that only homosexuality is singled out for special mention within the list as "AN ABOMINATION" (18:22 and 20:13). The point is probably the same for Ezek. 18:10-13; all of the preceding acts are "abominations," but there is ONE specific act that deserves the label above all others: homosexuality. The phrase in Lev. 20:13 and Ezek. 18:12 are almost exact. Jude also (7, 8) characterizes Sodom and Gomorrah as cities "that committed sexual immorality [Gk. ekporneusasai] and went after other flesh." This does not sound like a lack of hospitality to me. Jude no doubt refers to the homos in Sodom and Gomorrah going after Lot's angelic visitors. (I've already written on this in our Gay Way series.) Fin FROM GENESIS to Revelation homosexuality is condemned. Lifting up this sick sin, as America is currently doing, will not make God (nor us here) change His mind. All this ridiculous "celebrating" will only incur more judgments upon this backslidden nation. With all this said and done, I want to tell those that are "caught up" into the sex-trap that there is a WAY OUT! All sex-sins are forgivable. There is salvation and healing in Jesus Christ the Lord. But, I also must warn you that He will not forgive you unless you renounce your sins, REPENT OF YOUR SINS, and ask forgiveness. Jesus died for sinners. The WAY is open to ALL, but we must personally apply it to our lives. If I am to love my neighbor as myself, then I must present the Gospel to my neighbor, not covering his or her sin(s). Someone did this for me over 41 years ago. I took the challenge and changed. If you've been lied to about how God "created you that way," or that you were "born that way," YOU CAN BE BORN AGAIN (see John Cpt. 3 for instructions). AMEN Repent and Prepare General James Green C HRISTIANS AGREE that Christ Jesus has brought salvation to man, but many differ about how salvation may be obtained. Just how does a sinner obtain salvation? The Answer IS IN THE BOOK THE APOSTLE PAUL in Acts 20:21 tells us of two requirements for salvation. Let us read that verse: “I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.” 1). Repentance toward God 2). Faith toward Christ John the Baptist THE BAPTIST puts forth these words as he was preaching in the Desert of Judea: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near”—Matt. 3:2. Defining Repentance THOSE WHO KNOW GREEK tell us that the Gk word “metanoeite” or “metanoeo” means “to think differently or afterwards, i.e., reconsider.” This Greek word is compounded of a preposition with two meanings, “after” and “with,” and a verb meaning “to perceive,” and “to think as the result of perceiving.” Hence, the meaning “to think after a deed is done,” and “to think with,” in comparison with what ought to have been done, or might have been done...and so “to think differently after.” It is “a change of mind resulting in a change of conduct.” The emphasis is on the CHANGE OF MIND AND HEART—rather than on the sorrow which is the impulse that leads to the change of conduct. One Bible professor has stated, “Repentance is to leave the sins we loved before, and show that we in earnest grieve, by doing so no more.” 1). REPENTANCE TOWARD GOD THE OLE DEVIL is very subtle. He has his messengers—“religious” ones, teaching that all men have to do is believe on the love and goodness of God, and they are saved. This sounds Biblical enough, BUT they leave out “repentance!” Many believe that there is a God, and that Jesus died for our sins, but we MUST repent and be baptized. What Did Jesus Teach? JESUS SPOKE TO a gathering of people about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. Luke 13:2, 3 tells us: “…Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? (verse 3 tells us), “I tell you, NO! But unless you REPENT, you too will all perish.” Jesus repeats to the people in verse 5, “…unless you REPENT, you too will all perish.” Some would think those words of Jesus are just too harsh and unloving. NO! Leaving men IN THEIR SINS is harsh and unloving. Metanoeo= To Turn Around REPENTANCE MEANS a turning FROM sinful ways and turning TO Christ, i.e., FROM-TO. Once we turn TO Christ, we automatically, turn TO God (see Jn. 14:1, 6; Acts 8:22; 26:18, 1 Pet. 2:25). The decision of our free will to turn FROM sin and TO salvation in Christ involves accepting Christ, not only as our personal Savior from the penalty of sin (which is death), but also as LORD of our life (master and ruler). Thus, repentance involves a change of lords—from the “lordship” of Satan (see Eph. 2:2), to the Lordship of Christ Jesus and His Word (Acts 26:18). Facing Our Sins IN REPENTING, we come face to face with our committed sins. a). We settle the question of sin b). We spring forth into action Jesus puts forth this order in Matt. 21:32, “Ye repented not…that ye might believe.” Genuine Repentance IF MEN DO NOT CONFESS their sins, they will not FORSAKE them. First John 1:9 tells us, “…if we confess our sin, He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sin, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Free Will Choice PLEASE DON’T give me the old lie that men are too depraved to repent, therefore God had to save us first before we can believe (have faith) to receive Him. This is silly! I might argue that some men are too demonized or possessed to believe and confess without the casting out of devils (we’ve done this before), but generally, men are capable of exercising their free will to get salvation. Acts 11:21 IN THE ELEVENTH CHAPTER of Acts, Peter explains his actions about going to the Gentiles with the Gospel. The Church at Antioch heard about all this, and it says in vv. 20, 21 that “…telling them the good news (Gospel) about the Lord Jesus. The Lord’s hand was with them, and a great number of people BELIEVED and TURNED to the Lord.” These seekers found salvation possible by the enabling grace given to them as they heard and believed the Gospel. Saving Faith SOME THINK that “saving faith” is “mere trust” in Christ as Savior. This is partly true, but it is wholly inadequate in the light of Christ’s DEMAND for repentance. To define “saving faith” in a way that does not necessarily involve a radical break with sin is to dangerously distort the Biblical view of redemption. Some Churches have gone so far backwards that they now teach “progressive salvation.” Friend, being born-again is not progressive! They have done this because men want to give up their sins a little at a time. This is damnable! Conditional Faith FAITH THAT INCLUDES REPENTANCE is always a condition for salvation (see Mk. 1:15; Luke. 13:3, 5; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 11:21). Repentance was a basic message of the O.T. (O.T. means Old Testament) prophets (see Jer. 18:8; Ezek. 18:21; Mal. 3:7), John the Baptist (Matt. 3:21), Jesus (Matt. 4:17; 18:3; Luke. 5:32), and N.T. Christians (Acts 2:38; 8:22, 11:18; 2 Pet. 3:9). The preaching of repentance must ALWAYS accompany the Gospel message. In today’s modern, liberal, and politically correct Church, repentance is all but omitted. Now, we concentrate on the “love” of God, that is, He wants to save you for love’s sake, and there is no need to repent of one’s sins! This is NOT true preaching of the Gospel. Propitiation ROMANS 3:25; 1 Jn. 2:2 and 4:10 speaks of Jesus’ propitiation for our sin. The KJV uses “propitiation” whereas the NIV uses the words “atoning sacrifice.” As our “ATONING SACRIFICE,” Jesus took upon Himself the punishment for our sins and satisfied, or absorbed, God's righteous judgment against sin. FORGIVENESS IS NOW OFFERED TO EVERYONE throughout the whole world and is received by those who TURN FROM SIN TO CHRIST in REPENTANCE and FAITH (see 4:9, 14; Jn. 1:29; 3:16; 5:24). In His Blood Romans 3:25 says, “God presented Him (Jesus Christ) as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in His blood. He did this to demonstrate His justice, because in His forbearance, He had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished.” Six Things Concerning Christ’s Death 1) It was a sacrifice, i.e., and offering of His own Blood, His life (see 2 Cor. 5:14-21; Eph. 5:2). 2) It was vicarious, i.e., He did it not for His own sake (He was sinless!), but for the sake of others—the whole lost world (Rom. 5:8, 8:32; Mk. 10:45; Eph. 5:2). 3) It was substitutionary, i.e., Christ suffered death as the penalty for our sin, as our substitute (see Rom. 6:23). 4) It was propitiatory, i.e., Christ’s death for sinners satisfied God's righteous nature and His moral order. There are Christian theologians who do not believe this fact! Nevertheless, Christ removed His Father’s wrath against the repentant sinner: He literally absorbed God's wrath. The LORD’S integrity required that sin be punished and propitiation be made for us. Through this act, God's holiness remained uncompromised; and He was able to justly reveal His grace and love in salvation. You see, God did not need to be persuaded to show mercy and love, for already “God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ” (2 Cor. 5:19; Jn. 3:16; Rom. 5:8; 8:3, 32; 1 Cor. 8:6; Eph. 4:4-6). 5) It was expiatory, i.e., a sacrifice to atone or make reparation for sin. As expiation, the sacrifice is directed toward annulling guilt (ALL men are guilty before Him). By Christ’s death, the guilt and power of sin that separated God and the believer were annulled—Praise God! 6) It was a victorious defeat! Christ defeated all principalities and the power of evil and was triumphant over the power of sin. His death was the initial victory over the spiritual enemies of both the Godhead and humanity (8:3; Jn. 12:31, 32; Col. 2:15). Thus, Christ’s bloody death is redemptive. By the ransom of His own life, He liberated us from the enemies that hold the fallen race in bondage, i.e., sin (see 1 Pet. 1:18, 19; Rom. 6:6). Death and Satan were also defeated (2 Tim. 1:10; 1 Cor. 15:54-57; Acts 10:38). All this accomplished, He made all those who would become Christian, free to serve God (Rom. 6:18). Oh, yes, we have our battles, but we also have our armour and weapons (see Eph Cpt. 6). All the above results of Christ’s sacrificial death occur potentially for all people but only actually for individuals who, through faith, accept Jesus Christ the Lord and His atonement for them. 2). FAITH TOWARD JESUS CHRIST REPENTANCE DOES not save the soul, even though it is essential heart preparation. We need faith—to believe in Him. “By grace are ye saved through faith” (Eph. 2:8). It is by faith in Jesus’ atonement that we are declared righteous (Rom. 3:25). The apostle Paul also tells us that being “justified by faith, we have peace with God” (Rom. 5:1). “Without Faith…” “Without faith, it is impossible to please Him” (Heb. 6:11) (see also Heb. 11:6). Prepare Ye the Way of The Lord GOING BACK TO MATTHEW 3:3, the Baptist tells the people to prepare the way of the Lord. John prepared the WAY by confirming the decisions to repent—verses 5, 6. The souls that were baptized had done business with their own souls. They made His paths straight. Luke quotes more fully from Isaiah, “every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth” (see Lk. 3:5). These things were done naturally on roads when dignities visited Palestine. But the Baptist was speaking in spiritual terms here—preparing one’s heart to receive the Lord Jesus. A Witness PREPARING THE WAY was a witness to the fact that some great person was coming. Friend, is your heart prepared to meet the Lord? It says that the people “were baptized in Jordan, confessing their sins.” No one truly repents who does not also confess—to God the sins against God. Baptism BAPTISM WAS the visible, public act of the renouncing of the “old life” of sin, and entering upon the “new and holy life” that belongs to the Kingdom of God. Public confession confirms the resolve to die to the “old man” and live unto the “new man.” Put off—Put on EPHESIANS 4:22-24 tells us to put off the old man and to put on the new man, which is created in righteousness and true holiness. The Truth EPHESIANS 4:21 tells us, “If so be that ye have heard Him (Jesus), and have been taught by Him, as the Truth is in Jesus.” Verse 21 is parenthetical, and the infinitives of vv. 22-24 (put off…be renewed…put on) are loosely dependent on the opening phrase “learned Christ,” which requires a complement (there is no other instance in Gk. of the use of this verb with a personal object). According to Gk. scholars, there is an ellipsis (the omission of a word or words necessary for complete grammatical construction but understood in the context), for the infinitives can be taken to depend only on a positive affirmation, which must be supplied as the converse of the negative statement “you did not so learn Christ.” Thus, you have, “you have not so learned Christ as to continue to live like the pagans, you have so learned Him as to put off the old nature…” But Today— TODAY, MOST CHURCH FOLKS hold onto the “old nature” and pretend to live in the “new nature!” This is “Church”!! The parenthesis of verse 21 is of course an assumption, not a condition. The clause “as the truth is in Jesus,” for all its familiarity (especially in the misquotation “the truth as it is in Jesus”), is, as the scholars point out, extraordinarily difficult to interpret with precision. In the Gk., the noun “truth” has no article; and it is difficult, if not impossible to discover any meaning in the clause if “truth” is the subject. They say it is possible to take “truth” as the predicate—“as He [i.e., Christ] is truth in Jesus,” the reference being to the manifestation of the Messianic office and nature in the human personality of Jesus. Furthermore, the interpretation must at all events take account of the introduction of the name “Jesus” in place of the “Christ” of the preceding verse. This can be understood only as a reminder that the voice of “the Christ” is heard and His teaching received in the historical “Jesus.” Scholars say there may be beneath the words, a shaft of polemic directed against some doctrine which represented “the Christ” as a heavenly spirit, essentially distinct from the man Jesus; this would be an anticipation of a doctrine which we know to have been put forward a generation or two later in some of the Gnostic schools. To Put Off—To Put ON Cont. THE INFINITIVES WILL then be taken, as specifying what this true Christian instruction means: the new doctrine MUST issue in a new life—“Put off” (v. 22) and “put on” (v. 24). The literal sense of these verbs, which has to do with the change of clothing, is extended metaphorically to signify a change of character. Gk. scholars say that both these infinitives are referring to a change that is made once for all. “Be renewed,” on the other hand, renders a present infinitive denoting a continuing process (see 2 Cor. 4:16): “Our inner nature is being renewed day by day.” So REPENTANCE, preparing the Way for the King (Jesus), and a continual renewing is what true Christianity is all about. Our “old nature…is corrupt” (literally, “is perishing”): the present participle suggests a progressive decay, the consequence of a governing principle of decay. Why, dear Christian, should you, or I follow the flesh (Gal. cpt. 5)? Why follow or walk in the flesh? Gal. 5:16 tells “…walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.” Verse 19-21 gives a list of fleshly (corrupt nature) works. Grieving the Holy Spirit VERSES LATER, in Eph. 4, Paul warns us, “And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” So, it is possible to grieve the Spirit of God by yielding to some of the things mentioned in vv. 25-30. Sealed ON THE IMAGERY of “sealing”, in relation to the Holy Spirit, see 1:13; the phrase here emphasizes the obligation laid upon us to revere the Spirit as the pledge of our destiny; our present conduct must be worthy of the inheritance upon which we have begun to enter. May each and every one of us who name His name be counted worthy of His atoning sacrifice. May we WALK WORTHY of our vocation wherein we are called. AMEN. Fading Lines General James Green A MERICANIZED CHRISTIANITY (which we recognize as “churchianity” today) prepares to erase ALL lines between sound Biblical doctrine/teaching/practicing, and false doctrine/teaching/practice. The Emergent Church is on the MOVE!—moving into the realm of total apostasy. Its lofty hypocrisy knows no bounds; their so called leaders are religious whores, pimps, enchanters, and plain ol’ workers of witchcraft. Modern Evangelicalism has become a self-worshiping, self-promoting, self-loving THING that no longer cares for the lost and dying (only in word). Spirit Murderers WHILE CLAIMING TO BE directed by the Holy Spirit, Americanized Christianity has become a Spirit Murdering entity. This “spirit” that entered, permeated, and now dominates most seminaries and Church pulpits is spreading out into the congregations themselves—KILLING the desire of God (to have a holy and faithful people!) and giving luster to the spirit of anti-Christ. Most now UNCRITICALLY accept it, and LOVE IT!! Now this stinking rotting corpse, e.g., the Emergent Church, will face the judgment of God. Jesus Had His Say in His Day WE FIND JESUS warning the religious experts of His day this: “Woe unto you, lawyers (“experts”)!, for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered” (Lk. 11:52). Listen to what these Emergent Church (EC) leaders are saying—they deny whole sections of Biblical truth, their exegesis is skewed, and they HATE the Holy Spirit’s conviction. We ARE! in the Amos 8:11 days. Because men do not love God’s true food, and vomit it up, God has HAS! sent a famine throughout the land—not a famine of (natural) food, or a thirst for water—but a famine of hearing the Words of the LORD!! Do we ever hear the Word of the LORD in today’s liberal Churches? I mean when the Holy Spirit speaks in prophecies, in warnings, in exhortations? NO! If any at all, they are of the, “God wants to prosper you my dear (spoiled) children,” or, “once you’re saved, you’ll always be saved (no matter how in the Hell you live!).” But... ON THE OTHER HAND, God IS! preparing a “new people” that will obey, who will do great exploits in Jesus’ name, leaving these EC-ites to grovel in their vomitus filth called churchianity, leaving these “professors of faith” and “puke warmers” to die in their sins. Jesus Christ the Lord and El Elyon/Yahweh-tsidkenu will have a faithful people that they can fellowship. Actually, the Emergent Church is a movement—a movement AWAY from godliness, holiness, and righteousness and into “political correctness.” This change has been going on for quite some time now. Leaders of the EC frequently use the word “postmodern” to define today’s (sick) culture, which is the object of their purposes and goals. “Postmodernism” is a philosophical term attached to our (sick) age which questions whether ABSOLUTE (Biblical) truth exists, or if Christian (true) beliefs and practices should be discarded and REPLACED with more (sick) relevant truths (of the world). I have two booklets already in circulation on this “movement” (write for them)—so I won’t rehash all of what I’ve written. Rethink! Basically, this is what the EC is about—rethinking what the Bible says. They see the journey and destination as most important, not about reaching the lost with the Gospel of Christ or about living in accordance with the Word, but about letting man live according to his/her own wishes/desires (lusts!), thereby transforming whole societies—without that ol’ “Bully God” overseeing it— and most of all, get rid of that outdated Bible! Prominent Leaders THERE IS NOT ONE main leader in the EC movement, but here are a few prominent leaders: Leonard Sweet, Chris Seay, Mark Scandrette, Rob Bell (of the NO HELL! fame), Doug Pogitt, Tony Jones, Heather Kirk-Davidoff, Nanette Sawyer, Phyllis Tickle (of the “hack up the Bible into burial pieces” fame), and of course dear ol’ heretic Brian McLaren. I’ve got some BAD news for the ECites: God will deal with them in His Time. And another thing: they will NEVER destroy genuine Christianity. Tickle’s book, ‘The Great Emergence, How Christianity is Changing and Why,’ is laughable indeed. What is “changing” is THEM, not God’s Christianity. Actually, God is using the Emergent Church to separate His sheep from the goats! Jesus is LORD!! AT THE ROOT of all this EC bull is the hatred for AUTHORITY. These people hate Christ’s authority; for it challenges their “I AM God” position. These ECites hate Jesus for who and what He IS (see Jn. 8:24); and these ECites are FAR from the Kingdom of God (read Rev. 21:27). Sins that are not forgiven BY God/Christ WILL! stand against us in the end. We only LIVE when He LIVES in us; but we die when we MURDER HIM by unbelief and denial. Unless we ARE “rooted and built up in Him” (Col. 2:6), we are Christless. Period!! You may be “religious,” but CHRISTLESS (see Acts 20:21 and Eph. 2:8, 9)! Christ-Centered, Not... QUEER INCLUSIVE, irreverent, progressive-oriented, theologically reprobate! There are people who do not believe that Christ was God incarnate. Some call the Cross of Christ, “that DAMNED cross!” Others call God “that BIG bully.” The speaking circuits are clogged with these liberals, perverts, heretics, and apostates. Old apostates like John S. Spong have made room for the newer ones: tattoos, piercings, dreadlocks, and all. “gods”/“lords” “THERE ARE MANY ‘gods’ and many ‘lords’. Yet, for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one LORD, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.” “The vast majority of the western Church is in REBELLION against the LORD Jesus Christ. Its leaders refuse to recognize His Lordship, instead, creating Churchianity out of Christianity. Though they sometimes use the title, “Lord” for Jesus, they don’t teach what it means to have Jesus as one’s LORD. They don’t teach that it is necessary to OBEY Jesus as one’s LORD. Therein is the basis for the great REBELLION against Jesus as LORD.” Today’s churchites have little, if any, respect for the Lord. In fact, they go about degrading and shaming both Him and His Word. All this spells R-E-B-E-L-L-I-O-N!! Paul taught the Philippians: “God exalted Jesus to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11). Paul testified that Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation (Colossians 1:15). Paul credited creation itself to the LORD Jesus: “By Jesus all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him” (Col. 1:16). Paul told us about the order of authority that pertains to us: “Jesus is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. Jesus is the head of the body, the Church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy” (Col. 1:17-18). Paul testified that “God seated Jesus at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age, but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the Church...” (Eph. 1:22). “Head over everything for the Church?” Why, you would think by today’s “Church” mind-set that Christ Jesus DIED so that man/woman could RULE and receive all the GLORY. They think that “all things were created by Him (Jesus) for US!” (not Him, Col. 1:16). Emergent churchite Rev. Rob Bell (who now believes in universalism, not in eternal punishment as Jesus taught) is for the wicked. Check out this convoluted statement in his book “Velvet Elvis” : “The Bible is a very holy and sacred book...one can make the Bible say anything she or he wants it to...An accurate guideline to assist you in your interpretation is to ask yourself (for the meaning)... This is part of the problem with continually insisting that one of the absolutes of the Christian faith must be a belief that ‘Scripture alone’ is our guide. That sounds nice, but it is not true...When people say that all we need is the Bible, it is simply not true.” In his latest book “Love Wins,” Bell questions the existence of Hell, and suggests Christians are turned off by such teachings. Granted, backslidden Bell is “turned off” by the Bible’s teaching on Hell, for he, and millions like him ,are going there—if they do not REPENT. New Bible for a New Rebellious Church THE EMERGENT LEADERS have written their own bible, as have others before them that didn’t LIKE what it had to say about SIN/SINS. Their new bible is called ‘The Voice.’ It is not really a new translation, but rather a paraphrase. This pulp bull puts words into the mouths of Jesus and the other N.T. authors that were never spoken: “Interspersed throughout ‘The Voice’ are questionable commentaries that some readers might think are part of the biblical text. Not once in ‘The Voice’ is the word “Christ” used. The writers and publisher claim that the word Christ is too confusing and its meaning has to be explained. They claim many people believe “Christ” is Jesus’ last name. Not only is the word “Christ” missing, so also are the words “apostle” and “angel.” Several times in ‘The Voice,’ Jesus is identified as “Jesus the Liberator,” an appropriate title for those who endorse or promote liberation theology. The emergent bible reads like a screenplay or conversation. Many will be lured to purchase what is labeled by the publisher as “the easiest Bible in print to understand.” The preface to ‘The Voice’ states: “Any literary project reflects the age in which it is written. ‘The Voice’ is created for and by a church in great transition.” A similar statement is found in a lectionary produced by the National Counsel of Churches which declares: “The Bible is the Church’s book—created by and for the Church.” Thus, Emergent and liberal leaders reason that if they want to create a Bible that agrees with their theology, it is perfectly right to do so. In the case of ‘The Voice’, the emergents’ clear intent is to get people to accept the “great transition” in doctrine and practice which, of course, comes from their own knowledge and insights. ‘The Voice’ employs the use of hundreds of italicized words that the translators admit are not in the original text. They claim the italicized ‘words or sentences may contain information that would have been obvious to those originally addressed in the Gospel or letter and are meant to help the reader better understand the text without having to stop and read footnotes.’” So, dear ones, Jesus Christ takes the back seat in His role of bringing the lost to salvation and instructing them—once in discipleship. But, don’t let this foolish rebellion disturb you, Jesus is still Lord/LORD!!! Following are titles found in the N.T.: 618 times as LORD 543 times as Christ 84 times as Son of Man 42 times as Teacher 37 times as Son of God 35 times as King 32 times as Lamb 15 times as Savior 15 times as Prophet 11 times as Master 7 times as High Priest That makes the point, doesn’t it? It becomes even more powerful when we learn that the title “CHRIST” INCLUDES WITHIN IT THE TITLE “LORD.” In Romans 1:4, Paul wrote, “...was declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our LORD.” Paul declared that the Son of God is Jesus Christ our LORD. He tied together three major titles of Jesus to make sure we realize that Jesus is the Son of God, the Christ, AND the LORD. Mean ol’ Jesus!! CHECK OUT THIS blasphemous statement by arch-heretic Brian McLaren: “I often don’t think Jesus would be caught dead as a Christian, were he physically here today...Generally, I don’t think Christians would like Jesus if he showed up today as he did 2,000 years ago. In fact, I think we’d call him a heretic and plot to kill him, too.” That statement, which reflects McLaren’s imagination and not God’s Word, personifies the spiritual bankruptcy of the Emergent Church movement. “Kill Jesus?” This reflects those apostates found in Heb. 6:4-6. Check out, “seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame” (v. 6b; write for my latest teaching called “Examining Heb. 6" in which I show that these ones who have “FALLEN AWAY” (v. 6a) were once believers in Christ as Savior/Lord, not mere candidates for salvation as the Calvinists teach.) McLaren once was a Bible-believing Christian; now he is a HATER of the Word of God. I might add here for your information that the word “if” (v. 6, KJV) does not appear in any Gk. [=Greek] text. This phrase (Gk. parapesontas, from parapipto) is an aorist participle and is correctly rendered in the past tense or as Adam Clarke (1832 edition of his commentary on Hebrews) uses “past time”—literally, “having fallen away.” Religious Witchcraft OH YES, the Emergent Church is full of such! Just about everything is invited into their rebellious ranks, especially any and every kind of religious practitioners. They even welcome bloody Islam, which promotes the MURDER of Christians and celebrates Ramadan. “PROCLAIMING A CHANGELESS CHRIST IN A CHANGING WORLD” This was a headline in a Christian newspaper (July, 2012): PROCLAIMING A CHANGELESS CHRIST IN A CHANGING WORLD The author writes: “Of all the things our modern culture needs today, none is greater than the need for truth! And here is God’s message of truth for the culture in all times and places: “Jesus is the same, yesterday, today, and forever” (Heb. 13:8). This is not a message from which any Church or Christian should desire to “emerge.” Cultures may change the way we conduct our lives may change, but God’s Word never changes and neither has the sinful heart of man. The Bible tells us, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). No matter how sophisticated people may believe themselves to be, their need to receive the free gift of salvation in Christ has not changed from the fall of Adam until this very moment. The message of salvation through Jesus Christ alone preached on Pentecost is still the only message that will bring life and light to the hearts of sinful man. The Church does not need any other message than the one that has been given to us in the Scriptures. People living in the 21st century are just as lost as those living centuries ago in a horse and buggy era. The problem of effectively communicating the Gospel to this present generation is not found in some cleverly devised message or in some yet-to-be discovered method; it is found in the Spirit-empowered proclamation of law and Gospel, sin and grace. Attendance at his Church averages about 1,500 per week. Seay, a popular speaker at Emergent Church conferences, was the driving force behind ‘THE VOICE,’ a new Bible written and produced by various Emergent leaders. “Episcopalians Lead the March Over the Cliff: Approve Rite for Blessing Homosexual “Marriages” FROM REUTERS NEWS SERVICE: “The U.S. Episcopal Church is poised to become the first major religious denomination in the United States to approve a rite for blessing gay marriages after its bishops overwhelmingly approved such a liturgy on Monday. The proposed blessing was agreed by the Church’s Chamber of Bishops at a meeting in Indianapolis and is expected to receive final approval from its House of Deputies later this week,” Ruth Meyers, a chair of the Episcopalian’s Subcommittee on Prayer Book, Liturgy, and Church Music, told Reuters. The decision would go into effect in December and make the Episcopal Church, an independent US-based institution affiliated with global Anglicanism, the biggest US Church to allow a liturgy for same-sex marriages. The Episcopal Church is the 14th largest denomination in the United States with nearly 2 million adherents, according to the National Council of Churches. The United Church of Christ, a mainstream Protestant denomination with about a million members, has gone further, so far, than any other US Church, voting in 2005 to support same sex-marriage. The new Episcopal same-sex liturgy, called, “the Witnessing and Blessing of a Lifelong Covenant,” would be a standard rite for same-sex marriage. And there you go. Of course, the United Church of Christ, and the Emergent Church USA are now in full communion with the ELCA—it is just a matter of time there as well.” So, ALL THIS APOSTASY is the direct result of people being taught that “one can NEVER LOSE his/her salvation.”
