Four people died in the above crash!
Americans drink beer as a recreational activity, which is no different than abusing prescription drugs. The people who laugh and scoff at my preaching against beer have never stood over the graves of a mother and child killed by a drunk-driver. I have! I'll never forget that little casket being lowered alongside the mother's casket, because some drunk driver killed them. The drunk driver lived. We live in a morally toxic society in America.
Young girls today, they want to have fun. Young girls today just wanna party. Today young girls wanna go to a nightclub and have open sex on the floor of the nightclub, and then put it on YouTube, and if they should get pregnant they want to throw the baby into a dumpster. That's the new America! No morals. No self-respect. No nation. No borders. No language. No culture. No responsibility. Now that's America today!

Beer destroys lives! Why should the non-alcohol drinking citizens in America have to pay for the reckless and irresponsible behavior of many of those who DO drink alcohol? Alcohol-related accidents cost the U.S. economy billions upon billions of dollars every year. Why hasn't congress stepped in to put an end to this evil? I think the following quote says it all...
"Alcohol and bribery always go together (Isaiah 5:23-23). The pious hypocrite Rockefeller was a member of the Anti-Saloon League and actually donated money to the prohibition cause ($350,000 worth!). He HATED the booze business because he did not control it!!
When prohibition was enacted in 1920, he bought up all the distilleries and wineries at a pittance. Then when prohibition was repealed by Rockefeller stooge Roosevelt in 1933, the booze money began to flow into the Rockefeller coffers. That is why the Rockefeller owned newspapers are constantly telling people that alcohol is GOOD for you. They know that you will soon be visiting the Rockefeller controlled "doctors" and be using Rockefeller "drugs" to cure you. That is why "doctors" in the U.S. are not trying to stop the alcohol/poison business which is the main cause of illness and death in the country." -SOURCE

Denise Wagoner didn't die in the above alcohol-related car accident, but probably wishes she had. This is but one horrific tragedy, one of the millions of victims who DIDN'T die but will suffer for the rest of their lives because of beer.
Here's another tragic story
Beer is extremely dangerous because it contains less alcohol than stronger drinks such as whiskey. Beer drinkers are under a FALSE sense of security and are likely to consume much more alcohol. The alcohol barons are liars and won't tell the truth to the public. Most deaths caused by alcohol are directly the result of BEER drinking; not hard liquor. In addition, most alcohol-related accidents involve drivers with a BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration) under .08 (the legal limit). A 13-year old girl was recently struck and killed by an alcohol-impaired driver in our neighborhood. His BAC was .06, so legally he couldn't be charged with drunk driving, even though he was stumbling from his car and talking in mumble. ALL types of alcoholic drinks need to be banned from American society, because alcohol has PROVEN to be a menace to our society. America needs Billy Sundays to rise up all across this once great nation, preaching uncompromisingly hard and loud sermons against the evils of drinking alcohol. Truly, alcohol has earned the name LIQUID DEVIL.

The Hypocrisy of Alcohol and Drug Laws
Marijuana is illegal in most of the world, while alcohol is legal, despite the fact that alcohol is a far more dangerous drug than marijuana in every way. People consider marijuana to be a dangerous drug, while they think of alcohol as being a fun beverage. They consider those who sell marijuana to be drug dealers, the scourge of society who should be hunted down and imprisoned, while those who sell alcohol (wine makers, grocery stores) are viewed as respectable citizens.
Logically speaking, it should be the other way around. Alcohol tends to make many people aggressive, leading to a variety of violent crimes, while marijuana does not. Alcohol is a central nervous system depressant, and leads to a serious loss of coordination and motor skills. At larger doses, alcohol renders one completely unconscious. Drunk drivers cause enormous numbers of automobile accidents and deaths. Marijuana is not a central nervous system depressant, and while one probably shouldn't drive while intoxicated on anything, it simply does not cause anywhere near the loss of motor control that alcohol does, and is only a fraction as dangerous as alcohol in terms of driving. And, a large enough dose of alcohol can and will kill you, while the same is not true of marijuana.
But people are looking at this based on their feelings. Marijuana feels like a drug to them. It's illegal, isn't it? Alcohol feels like a fun beverage. It's legal, and socially acceptable, so it feels ok, so it must be ok. So the same cop who arrests someone for possessing Marijuana, can LEGALLY go home and get plastered on Jim Beam or Jack Daniel's alcohol. All of this is illogical and stupid, and typically human. It is tragic!

Little children are still being killed. Who's kidding who? What the lying beer companies will NEVER tell you is that NO AMOUNT of alcohol is safe while driving...

The World's Deadliest Drug!

Who is the king of the drug world?
Who claims 50 times more lives than all the illegal drugs combined? Who costs the American people 130 billion dollars every year to mop up its blood-bath of human slaughter? Who destroys 1 in every 4 families in America? Who kills over 200,000 Americans each year? Is it crack? Is it cocaine? Could it be heroin? No, the undisputed heavy-weight champion of the drug world and number one killer of Americans is KING ALCOHOL! And nobody dares utter a peep!
During the Viet Nam war, 57,000 Americans gave their lives fighting for this country. A wailing wall was built in Washington with each soldiers' name engraved. But in that same 9-year period, when 57,000 died in Viet Nam--OVER 2 MILLION AMERICANS were killed by killer alcohol! During the Viet Nam War, thousands of protesters were all over this country. What I want to know is--where are the protesters against killer alcohol?
WHERE IS JANE FONDA WHEN WE REALLY NEED HER?
Nobody opens their mouth against killer alcohol! Nobody makes a sound! Who speaks out for over 7 million young children that live a life of child abuse, incest, and torture? Their little life is a hell on earth because of killer alcohol!
THE KILLER IS GLAMORIZED AND GLORIFIED!
The alcohol industry spends over 400 million dollars a year advertising and glorifying the killer! By age 18, American children on an average, have seen an estimated 100,000 beer commercials! They innocently watch as their favorite heroes glamorize and glorify killer alcohol. 'You only go around once in life, so grab for all the gusto you can', they proclaim. But what they don't tell you is--every single day--at least 10 young people die because of drinking alcohol!
God have mercy on these athletes, who prostitute their God-given athletic ability, sacrificing our young people on the altar of alcohol!
One of the beer commercial's favorite celebrities was Billy Martin, former manager of the New York Yankees. I bet you never saw a picture of the end of the drinking scene. Here's the real picture! After spending Christmas day at the local bar drinking, Billy and William Reedy, a Detroit bar owner, headed home. As they were driving home their pickup truck skidded over 200 feet off a winding, country road, then traveled another 100 feet down a four-foot-deep gully before striking a concrete culvert. Billy Martin smashed through the windshield, fractured his neck and was pronounced dead 23 minutes later. BET YOU NEVER SAW THAT PICTURE! Wouldn't that make a good 'Lite' beer commercial! Wouldn't that really show you 'Miller Time'?

NO, THEY DON'T SHOW YOU THE END OF 'HAPPY HOUR'!
Killer Alcohol is turning our highways into rivers of blood and our interstates into a slaughter-house! On the average, every 50th car you see is powered by a drunk driver on their way to murder an innocent victim! Nearly 700 a week will be killed, 100 a day, nearly 5 an hour -- every 12 minutes somebody is killed by a drunk driver! Over 25 million Americans have died in traffic accidents because of alcohol. People ask what are we going to do about AIDS? What I want to know is-- what are we doing about those thousands of innocent people who are 'LAMBS LED TO THE SLAUGHTER' on the highways across America by a drunk driver! IN JUST ONE YEAR, alcohol will slaughter more Americans on our highways than all the American soldiers killed in World War II!
Some gullible parents are actually relieved that their children are drinking alcohol instead of using other drugs. But, what many parents don't know is--the number one killer of young people between the ages of 16 and 24 is ALCOHOL-RELATED AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENTS!
Next time you buy that drink. Next time you buy that six- pack. You are footing the bill for the murder of somebody's loved one, somebody's little child! JUST MAYBE--YOUR OWN! Next time your wife and children go to the grocery store, next time your husband goes to work-- BEWARE, it just may be the last! THERE'S A VICIOUS KILLER STALKING THE HIGHWAYS OF AMERICA!
The President and Congress have spared no expense, nor effort, to 'get guns off the streets.' From '20/20', to '48-Hours', to the local news--you can't turn on the television, without hearing the horror of 'guns and youth.' Where are the 'TV specials' on killer alcohol? And what's more, in nearly all youth related shootings--killer alcohol helps 'pull the trigger'. As one youth convicted of attempted murder, said, "most of the times we didn't think about planning drive-by shootings, 'cause we had all been DRUNK."
In April 29, 1992, the world was in shock, as the 'L.A. Riots' left more than 50 people dead, 2,300 injured, and over $1 billion in damage. And guess who was there! KILLER ALCOHOL! U.S. News and World Report, (May 31, 1993) stated, '...liquor plainly inflamed the violence...you could smell the liquor on people's breath from several feet away.' IN JUST ONE YEAR, alcohol will slaughter more Americans on our highways than all the American soldiers killed in World War II!
Some gullible parents are actually relieved that their children are drinking alcohol instead of using other drugs. But, what many parents don't know is - the number one killer of young people between the ages of 16 and 24 is ALCOHOL-RELATED AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENTS!
Next time you buy that drink. Next time you buy that six-pack. You are footing the bill for the murder of somebody's loved one, somebody's little child! JUST MAYBE - YOUR OWN! Next time your wife and children go to the grocery store, next time your husband goes to work - BEWARE, it just may be the last!

Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it BITETH LIKE A SERPENT, AND STINGETH LIKE AN ADDER. Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things."
The Bible says, ". . . at last it biteth like A SERPENT." Do you know what a serpent bite is? POISON! Did you know that alcohol is poison? Every major organ in your body is poisoned by alcohol. According to The Birmingham News (Nov. 19, 1990), "Scientific data show alcohol is THE MOST PHYSICALLY DETERIORATING drug there is. It causes more organic damage than any other drug. . ."Why is it when people get drunk, they have a tendency to vomit? Because your stomach knows POISON when it comes down! No wonder the bartender says, "NAME YOUR POISON"! When a man is drunk, he is INTOXICATED. Do you know what a TOXIC is? IT IS A POISON! A drunk man is a man who has LITERALLY POISONED HIMSELF!
Scientists have only recently discovered the physical process that creates the slurred speech and drunken stupor. Once in the blood stream, alcohol causes a coagulation of the red corpuscles referred to as "sludging". The blood thickens so that it cannot flow freely and clogs the metabolic exchange of life-giving oxygen. And when cells are deprived of oxygen - THEY DIE! And because brain cells require a high oxygen supply continuously, they are particularly vulnerable! And brain cells are the only cells that do not reproduce! Brain cells destroyed are never replaced! Autopsies performed on drinkers, often reveal hollow cavities in the skull, where ENTIRE CONVOLUTIONS OF THE BRAIN HAVE DISAPPEARED! And according to studies by Dr. Melvin H. Kinsley, brain damage occurs progressively from THE VERY FIRST DRINK! The next time you see that man staggering drunk - YOU ARE WATCHING A MAN LITERALLY DESTROYING HIS BRAIN!
I've had people tell me several times, Jesus drank wine. . . The Bible makes a clear distinction between fermented liquor and new wine, or grape juice. Speaking of fermented liquor, Proverbs 23 says, "Look not thou upon the wine when it is red (speaking of fermentation), when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright (speaking of the bubbling and carbonation). At the last it BITETH like a serpent, and STINGETH like an adder."
A description of new wine is found in Isaiah 65:8, "as the NEW WINE is found IN THE CLUSTER." Not in a bottle! You can't get FERMENTED LIQUOR from a CLUSTER! Fermented LIQUOR is placed in a bottle, with yeast and allowed to FERMENT. Genesis 40:11 gives a clear picture of new wine, "I took GRAPES and PRESSED them in Pharaoh's cup."
People say, Jesus drank wine at the Last Supper with the apostles. HE DID? In Matthew, Mark and Luke where the account of the Last Supper is found, the word "wine" is never even mentioned. The Bible very carefully says they drank - "FRUIT OF THE VINE!"
What about when Jesus turned the water into wine at the marriage in Cana. If Jesus Christ turned water into fermented liquor, he directly disobeyed Habakkuk 2:15, "Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also . . ." And, if Jesus disobeyed Habakkuk - HE WAS A SINNER! The Bible makes it very clear in 1 Peter 2:22, 2 Corinthians 5:21, and other verses - THAT JESUS CHRIST WAS WITHOUT SIN!
God has placed a very strong warning in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, "Be not deceived: NO DRUNKARDS, . . . shall inherit the kingdom of God."
IS ALCOHOL WORTH IT?
Friend, alcohol will never satisfy that unquenchable thirst, burning inside of you.
ONLY JESUS CHRIST CAN QUENCH THAT THIRST!
Jesus said in John 7:37,"IF ANY MAN THIRST, let him come unto me, and drink."
John 4:14 says, "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him SHALL NEVER THIRST; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."
Why don't you let the Lord Jesus Christ satisfy that thirst in your soul today? OH, HOW HE LOVES YOU! He's been waiting for you a long time, friend.
Why don't you trust him this very minute?
You'll never regret it! You may not have a drinking problem. But, if you've never trusted Jesus Christ, there's a unsatisfied thirst and longing in your soul - and YOU KNOW IT! The Bible says in Proverbs 27:20, ". . . the eyes of man are never satisfied."

Jacquís photo before the crashIn the early morning hours of September 19th,1999 - 20 year old Jacqueline Saburido (pictured left and right) and four of her friends were returning home from a birthday party. Driving the other car, 18 year old high school student Reggie Stephey, had been drinking beer with some buddies.
On a dark road on the outskirts of Austin, Texas, Stephey's SUV veered into the Oldsmobile carrying Jacqui and her friends. Within minutes, the car caught fire. Jacqui was pinned in the front seat on the passenger side. She was burned over 60% of her body; no one thought she could survive. Her hands were so badly burned that all of her fingers had to be amputated.
She lost her hair, her ears, her nose, her left eyelid and much of her vision. She has had more than 50 operations since the crash and has many more to go. How tragic! How unnecessary! Jacqui was the victim of a drunk driver. There is not a substance any more deceitful and dangerous than alcohol.
When will society learn that alcohol is a menace! The biggest lie you'll ever hear is ... "Live Responsibly" from people who are selling you liquid Devil. I've stood over the graves of victims of alcohol. I know what it's like to see a big coffin (the mother) and a little coffin (her child) being lowered into their graves because of a drunk driver. Budweiser won't show you this. Miller "High Life" wouldn't dare speak the truth.
The honest truth is that alcohol often leads to the "Low Life." And Bud isn't "wiser", he's a complete idiot. Red Dog? ... You mean "Dead Dog?" The honest truth is that there is NO WAY a person can "Live Responsibly" while consuming alcoholic beverages. The beer companies are LIARS! They claim to be doing as much as possible to prevent alcohol abuse; yet, millions of people continue to weep in bitter tears because of the evils associated with booze. The total cost to Scottish society in 2001-2002 due to alcohol abuse was estimated to be $1.1 billion (Alcohol Misuse in Scotland Trends and Costs, Scottish Executive, October 2001). If you think that's bad, the problem is 100 times worse in America:
* Alcohol problems are among the most common and costly health conditions affecting Americans: nearly 17 million adults have alcohol use disorders, either alcoholism or other, less severe, problems. People Don't Care Until it Happens to Them, or to a Loved One
This is the sad truth concerning nearly everything in life. We all have a tendency to be indifferent about things until it hurts us. I get letters all the time from people, thanking me for my website.
In many cases, they or a loved one have become the victim of some evil (e.g., alcohol, false religion, gambling, divorce, etc). They are comforted to see that I am preaching against something that has caused them pain and loss.
Tragically, most of America's preachers are silent concerning sin and evil. This is apostasy! Here's an example of an apostate preacher who makes abortion a "minor concern" in his church of 10,000 people. Tragic!
Most people don't CARE until it's too late. And that's the whole issue here ... CARING! The hallmark quality of a born again Christian who walks with God is CARING. A Christian who cares about the souls of lost sinners goes soulwinning. A Christian who cares about righteousness and little children takes a stand against abortion, gambling, alcohol, pornography, homosexuality, witchcraft, the lie of Evolution, and the godless entertainment industry.
It's about caring! Obviously, there's NOTHING even remotely Christian about the alcohol industry, and they don't care. It's been said that the biggest problem in America is apathy, but who cares? Alcohol is evil and ought to be removed from society. Every sin imaginable is associated with alcohol. I can almost assuredly guarantee you that there's plenty of drunk driving crashes in your city. Where I live, I see flowers by utility poles regularly where loved one's have died in accidents (no doubt most caused by alcohol). Oh the evils of alcohol.
The whole matter of alcohol is so rotten to the core. The beer companies deceitfully lead consumers to believe that they can drink alcohol and drive "responsibly" in DIRECT OPPOSITION to what The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration states:
"The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) position on the relationship between blood alcohol concentration and driving is that driving performance degrades after just one drink."

Alcohol tastes and feels good, but is rotten to the core!
Most people take freedom for granted, until they lose it. Most people take life for granted, until it is gone. If only people would wake up and care enough about "others" to remove the monster of alcohol from society. Alcohol has a rap sheet a mile long, and it has evaded justice since it's beginning.
The Bible WARNS against the deceptive nature of alcohol in Proverb 20:1, "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise." The Hebrew word for "deceived" puts forth the idea of being reeling in on a fishing line. Hence, the fool who drinks alcohol is being reeled in for destruction. It's not surprising that nearly all of the people supporting legalized alcoholic beverages have never lost a loved one to a drunk driver. Why does it always take a tragedy to make us CARE? Most people don't install burglar system onto their house until they've been victimized by a burglar.
This is typical human nature, and it is why alcohol is still legal. It is why abortion is legal. It is why gambling is legal. Most people just don't care unless it adversely affects them. What do you think those aborted children would want, if they could make their own decision whether to live or die? They'd choose life of course. Wouldn't it be great if people would care BEFORE something horrible has to happen to them or their family? This is exactly what James 4:8,9 mean ..."Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness."
As believers, we should CARE about the pain and suffering which others are going through. That's why I wrote this article. The silver lining in Jacqui's calamity is that tens-of-thousands of children are thinking twice about drinking beer. Sadly, many of them will end up like Jacqui because not enough Americans care, until it's their child being extracted from a car-wreck with the Jaws of Life. The beer companies are hypocritical liars, because as long as they continue to sell their liquid Devil ... children will die! A son will die! A mother will die!
A loved one will die! A pregnant woman and her child will die! I stood over their graves, watching the father weep in bitter tears of loss and sorrow as the two caskets were lowered into the ground. It's something you never forget. Oh listen friend, don't be a fool ... say "NO" to alcohol, and "YES" to Jesus Christ.

The Reality of Booze!
Photo to Right: The Chicago United Mission at 34 S. Desplaines in downtown Chicago where I spent my childhood. My father directed the mission for over 15 years, and I tagged along almost daily. The famed Legion Hotel cannot be seen to the right of the building; but Al Capone was a regular there in it's heyday.
Alcohol is a much bigger problem than the beer companies and beer drinkers would like for us to think. There's an untold story. Every year, millions of people are victimized, one way or another, by alcoholic beverages. Children especially, are hurt because of booze. I grew up in Chicago. My father was a skidrow minister in downtown Chicago, directing the Chicago United Mission for many years. Before that, he was the assistant director of the Christian Industrial League (another mission). My father often preached at the Olive Branch Mission and the Pacific Garden Mission, and I would tag along as a young lad, observing all that was happening. My mother played the piano. I would quote a verse or two. I simply cannot tell you how many men and women I saw lying in the gutter, literally, because of booze. I saw many dead bodies in my years growing up around skidrow, and the police wagon that came to collect the bodies. Only God fully knows the amount of evil caused because of alcohol. Listen friend, I can show you a few pictures and some statistics on my website, but you simply do not know the hellishness of alcohol until you've spent your youth growing up around skidrow. I cannot possibly convey to you the images forever engrained in my mind of men lying drunk in the garbage, of regularly walking over battered bodies in the doorway of the mission, of men drinking paint-thinner to satisfy their ungodly addiction to alcohol. My father used to provide shelter for 100 men each night, a bowl of soup, and a cold floor to sleep on. There simply weren't enough beds for a hundred people. Cardboard or old donated clothing was tossed upon the floor for the men to sleep on. There were some poor women too. It was a common practice for sleepers to cover their heads at night, because the rats would sometimes crawl over them on the floor. Rats were a constant problem in downtown Chicago. I've caught many a rats in my time--super rats bigger than a full-grown cat! The one common denominator I saw amongst the poor in all my years of helping my father on skidrow was ALCOHOL!
I've stood at my father's side during many funerals he was asked to conduct. It was just me, my dad, and the corpse! No family! No loved ones! The beer companies won't show you this. Alcohol will take you to the pits of Hell! As Chicago's urban development came into force, they closed down most of the missions. There was no help for the poor where there was once help. As a result, hundreds of poor people literally froze to death on the streets of Chicago. Many of them didn't even realize they were dying because of the alcohol which numbs the body. Alcohol has caused untold multitudes of victims to freeze to death. So you see, there's a very good reason why I fight uncompromisingly against alcohol--because I grew up around skidrow and I know firsthand where the road of alcohol often leads!

Do you see the great DECEPTION of the .08 BAC legal limit? At just .05 BAC, the human body is already experiencing impairment of coordination. This is serious folks! If the NHTSA (our government) admits that even ONE ALCOHOLIC DRINK degrades a person's driving performance, then why in the name of common sense doesn't our government's lawmakers lower the BAC to equate to ONE DRINK? Tragically, our government leaders are playing games with people's lives, and people ARE DYING!

As anyone can clearly see from the chart above, having even ONE 12oz. DRINK of beer can cause a person weighing over 200 LBS. to have a BAC of up to .05!!! What strikes me as strange, and a definite double-standard, is that many companies will fire an employee who comes to work with a BAC of .04% or more; but the legal system won't do anything to punish that person for driving under the influence until their BAC hits .08. Why the double-standard? Why are private companies more concerned about their employees than our government's lawmakers are about it's own people who entrusted them to power? Something smells rotten in Washington!

car crashWAIRARAPA TIMES-AGE--August 5th, 2002 | ALCOHOL and speed have again been linked to a serious crash in Wairarapa. The single-car crash occurred about 10.45 p.m. on Saturday night on Upper Plain Road. Both occupants in the car had to cut from the wreckage.
Masterton Senior Sergeant Geoff Reid said the passenger, Bernadette Keen, 46, of Wellington, suffered severe injuries to her left hand after all her fingers were ground off and had to be recovered from underneath the car. She also suffered serious head and chest injuries and is in the neurosurgical ward at Wellington Hospital.
Did you read that? ... "all her fingers were ground off and had to be recovered from underneath the car." Does that sound like a Miller High Life to you? It appears to me that Budweiser is much DUMBER than wiser. Red Dog? ...you mean "Dead Dog?" The Word of God WARNS us about the deceitfulness of alcohol in Proverb 20:1; but people don't listen ... "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise." The word "deceived" comes from the Hebrew word "shagah" and means "a deceiver." Thus, alcohol is a deceiver! The PROOF is in the news, in the statistics, in the broken families, in the emergency rooms, and in the cemetery.

There is a great hypocrisy in America, by the numerous beer producers who propagate the SMOKESCREEN, "Don't drink and drive." The FACT is that millions of Americans get into their cars and drive away daily after having at least one drink of beer. According to our government's own National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), these drivers are extremely dangerous. That's what the NHTSA said--JUST ONE DRINK degrades a driver's ability to drive properly! If the beer companies truly meant what they are saying, then they would have their lawyers lobby for laws restricting drinkers from driving at all; but they don't. So while the wealthy beer companies are preaching "live responsibly" and "don't drink and drive"; they are simultaneously doing absolutely nothing to keep people from driving after having one drink of beer. Why don't they put their money where their mouth is?
It's no different than all of the lying Republican presidents who profess to be pro-life concerning abortion. George W. Bush has been hailed as a great humanitarian by ignorant Christians for passing his partial-birth abortion ban, which only prevents women from having abortions during actual labor. You and me both know that 99.99% of all abortions happen long before the actual birth occurs. In fact, the Bush Administration has given a sickening $1,500,000,000 to Planned Parenthood (i.e., Planned Herodhood), the largest provider of abortions in the United States!!! U.S. Republican Presidents are accomplices to abortion.
So you see, we have long been deceived by liars and fraudsters, who claim to be against abortion in order to get the vote of conservatives; but those politicians are in reality as liberal as can be. The beer companies are liars just the same, leading the public to believe that they are genuinely concerned about alcohol-abusive-drivers; yet, they do nothing to stop, or even condemn, the millions of drinkers who drive daily AFTER drinking. The term "don't drink and drive" implies refraining from drinking alcohol WHILE driving; but it doesn't discourage people from drinking BEFORE they drive. It's crazy, and hypocritical. Police nationwide are paid to enforce laws prohibiting drinkers from commuting with open alcohol containers in their car; but what about the 3-beers they drank BEFORE they started driving? As long as their BAC is .079 or lower, they're considered legally sober, even though the government's own NHTSA states that such drivers are potentially dangerous. This is a major loophole in the legal system, and the reason why so many people are still being maimed, victimized, and murdered by drivers under the influence. The legal BAC of .08 is a ridiculous joke, a travesty of justice, and a mockery to the entire legislative system. This is all a big game that the wealthy beer companies, their crooked wealthy lawyers, and the gutless wealthy politicians have concocted to sucker the American people. Do you really think that a person with a Blood-Alcohol-Content of .07 is NOT a danger to others? You're out of your mind if you think so!
Drinking Beer is Selfish!
We read in Galatians 5:14 in the Bible, "For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." I just don't understand why anyone would want to risk all the possible dangers associated with consuming alcoholic beverages, except that they don't care about anyone except them self. In fact, I have to wonder if they even care about themselves. I've stood over the graves of victims of alcohol-impaired-drivers, and I've witnessed the bitter tears by their families as the coffins were lowered into the dirt. The Word of God declares drunkenness a sin (Galatians 5:21). Wherever you find sin and evil in this world--you will also find alcoholic beverages. Sin and alcoholic beverages are inseparable! God calls alcohol "a deceiver" in Proverb 20:1, and you would be wise to run away from it before it makes you regret the day you were born.

Fermentation is the process by which leaven becomes intoxicating wine. The term "mixed wine" in the Old Testament refers to intoxicating alcohol. Sugars or other drugs were added to the juice concoction to create booze. The Word of God condemns drinking such mixed wines which contain alcohol. The Word of God goes to great lengths to avoid any misunderstanding concerning the use of juice in the Lord's Supper, using the term "cup" instead of "wine"... "After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me" (1st Corinthians 11:25).
Leaven was strictly forbidden in the Jewish diet. It was a ceremonial law given to Old Testament Israel. Since leaven pictured corruption, God used it as a constant reminder to Israel that they were to be sanctified unto the Lord. Intoxicants are condemned in the Word of God. Booze has well earned the nickname, "Liquid Devil."

The word "wine" in the Old Testament
There are 637 references to wine, drink and drinking in the King James Version of the Bible. Most people think in today’s terms, believing that when wine is mentioned it refers to alcoholic wine. Actually, that is not necessarily true. Thirteen different words are translated "wine" in the King James Version of the Bible. The word "wine" has a wide range of meaning in the Bible, covering everything from grape juice, to concentrated grape syrup to alcoholic wine. To understand what the Bible has to say about drinking, we need to look at several of these words:

Clearly, there are many different meanings of the word "wine" in the Bible; however, Proverb 20:1 plainly condemns intoxicating beverages ... "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise." In the April 24, 1965 issue of Christianity Today, the article, on page 25 says, "People must be informed that the use of alcohol is not unlike Russian roulette: every tenth person becomes automatically hooked. the only solution is total abstinence." These statistics are supported by the American Medical Association.
Woman Charged With Providing Alcohol Before Fatal Crash
July 8th, 2005 | WITN 7--"A Chocowinity woman is charged with providing alcohol to two teenagers who were fatally injured in a crash the same day. Brian Samuel Taylor and Patrick Woodham, both 19, died as a result of the June 25 accident on River Road in Beaufort County. District Attorney Seth Edwards says the two were given alcohol by Wendy Jones Vaughn. Edwards says Vaughn purchased the alcohol at the ABC store on John Small Avenue on June 25 and delivered the rum to Taylor and Woodham. The North Carolina Highway Patrol says alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash. Vaughn's court date on two counts of aiding and abetting the underage possession of liquor is scheduled for September 20."
This is just one example of tens-of-thousands of alcohol-related fatalities which occur in the U.S. each year. Every 30 minutes, someone dies in an alcohol-related accident. People at best are creatures of emotion, sinners, and are unpredictable by nature. This fact alone makes alcohol a ticking time-bomb for anyone to drink. It only takes once to destroy your life, or someone else's life. Drinking booze is a game of Russian roulette! In the case of the foolish woman above, she gave alcohol to 2 teen boys, which led to their deaths. BOOZE is liquid Devil ...

Demon Possession and Alcohol
Beer is 100% LIQUID DEVIL! In Revelation 21:8, the word "sorcerers" is translated from the Greek "pharmakeus," which means "a drug, i.e. a spell-giving potion; a druggist (pharmacist) or poisoner." Interestingly, the modern word "pharmacy" comes from the SAME Greek root word as does the word "sorcerer." Thus, there has always been a direct connection between demonic possession and substance abuse. People throughout history who have entered the occult have abused alcohol and drugs to increase their levels of occultic consciousness. The taking of alcohol or drugs is absolutely essential to the practice of witchcraft and Satanism. Drinking alcohol opens demonic doors because a weak mind is the Devil's workshop. To come under the influence of alcohol is to LOSE one's capacity for reason and control. Many rock-n-roll performers have openly admitted to writing some of their music while high on illegal-drugs. Alcohol effects graphicAlcohol IS A DRUG!!! It affects the entire body. Actually, a driver can be impaired with a U.S. blood-alcohol level as low as .03. When you drink alcohol, it goes straight from the stomach to the bloodstream. Alcohol can be detected in the blood as fast as five minutes after drinking, and it's effects — most obvious in the central nervous system — peak in about 30 to 45 minutes. Alcohol depresses the central nervous system which, in turn, impairs motor function, motor performance, speech and eye movements. These skills are not only slowed down, they are performed more inaccurately. Alcohol also affects the ability to think and reason clearly.
This is prime opportunity for Satan to sift you as wheat ... Jesus warned Peter in Luke 22:31, "...behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat." The Devil wants to kill, steal, and destroy your life (John 10:10) —why make it easier for him by drinking booze? Truly, consuming beer is risky business.
Did Jesus Turn Water Into Alcoholic Wine?
No! Some people allege that Jesus turned water into alcoholic wine; but nothing could be further from the truth. I think Pastor J. Vernon McGee says it best ...
"There has always been a controversy about the "wine" in the New Testament being an intoxicant. It is my firm conviction that the Lord Jesus did not make an intoxicating drink at the wedding in Cana of Galilee (see John 2). Anyone who attempts to make of Him a bootlegger is ridiculous and is doing absolutely an injustice. Folk like to present the argument that in the warm climate of Israel all one had to do was to put grape juice in a wine skin and in time it would ferment. Yes, but in the miracle at Cana, the Lord Jesus started out with water, and in the matter of a few seconds He had "wine." My friend, it didn’t have a chance to ferment. And we must remember that the wedding in Cana was a religious service, and everything that had to do with leaven (which is fermentation) was forbidden. This is the reason that at the time of the Passover and the institution of the Lord’s Supper the wine could not have been fermented. Fermentation is the working of leaven, and leaven was strictly forbidden in bread and in everything else. The bread and drink could not have been leavened. Intoxicants are condemned in the Word of God, and here is a verse for it: "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise."
Today many folk are being trapped by this type of thing. America is becoming a nation of drunkards. I am not impressed when the news media lets us know the tremendous amount of taxes that comes from the liquor industry. What they forget to tell is the cost of the hospitals, the mental institutions and the accidents—the people who have been maimed for life—as a result of drinking drivers. That kind of cost is not reported. I understand that any derogatory news is suppressed because one of the biggest advertisers is the booze industry. We hear about how bad drug abuse is today; but remember, alcohol is a drug!
A law enforcement officer told me that at the beginning of the drug craze the liquor interests helped to fight the drug traffic, because they were afraid it would hurt their business. They would much rather have a kid become a drunkard addicted to alcohol than to have him become a drug addict. That is really generous and big-hearted of the liquor industry, don’t you agree? However, young people began making comparisons. I have had young folk in youth groups tell me they don’t feel they should be reprimanded for smoking marijuana by a crowd that sits around drinking cocktails. And I agree with the young folk. Let the adults stop drinking liquor before they talk to our young people about the evils of marijuana. The hypocrisy of those outside the church is lots worse than the hypocrisy inside the church!
Drunkenness was the undoing of Noah, and it has been a problem from that day to the present hour. Alcohol is valuable for medicinal purposes, but the minute it is used as a beverage it becomes dangerous. The number of alcoholics is increasing every year. It is one of the greatest tax burdens we have to bear. But you don’t learn of that through the news media. In fact, it is dangerous to lift your head against this hydra-headed monster. Jesus fully knew the evils of alcohol. Don't you tell me that Jesus didn't see the broken families, the drunkard fathers, the battered wives, the neglected children—all because of alcohol. The world hasn't changed that much in 2,000 years. In fact, alcohol was a problem back in Genesis, evidenced by Noah's drunkenness (Genesis 9:21). Alcohol has historically been used to induce sexual sins (Genesis 19:31-36). Alcohol is LIQUID DEVIL, because the Devil uses alcohol greatly to destroy people's lives. When a person drinks alcohol, and loses their mind, the Devil takes control.
Liquid Devil
Distillation was not discovered until about 1500 A.D. Strong drink and unmixed wine in Bible times was from 3% to 11% alcohol. Since wine has 9 to 20% alcohol, you should not drink wine. Brandy contains 15 to 20% alcohol, so that’s out too. Hard liquor has 40 to 50% alcohol (80 to 100 proof), and that is obviously excluded! But what about beer? Someone will say, "since beer is only 4% alcohol, IT’S OK FOR A BELIEVER TO DRINK BEER, RIGHT?" The answer is NO! Here’s why... All alcoholic beverages used in our culture fall under the biblical classification of STRONG DRINK and are; therefore, forbidden. The least ratio of water to wine mixture used in Bible times was 3 parts water to 1 part wine. That produced a sub-alcoholic drink that was 2.5% to 2.75% alcohol. Normally, the ratio was even higher, up to 20 to 1.
Their is NO BIBLICAL SUPPORT FOR CHRISTIANS DRINKING THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OF OUR DAY! What early believers drank was sub-alcoholic by today’s standards. Pastors and deacons were cautioned to steer away from wine (1st Timothy 3:3,8). Romans 14:21 warns... "It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to to drink wine, nor anything whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak." 1st Corinthians 6:12 tells us that we are not to "be brought under the power" or to be controlled by anything. The only exception is the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). Alcohol is clearly a powerful substance (Proverbs 23:35). Because alcohol is addictive, we should choose not to drink alcoholic beverages.

Drunkenness and the End of the Age
Social drinking is not the solution to the problem of alcoholism. Rather the social glass is the starting point of the majority of alcoholics.
If legal age barriers are eliminated in the sale of alcoholic beverages, and boys and girls are encouraged to drink in the homes, in society, and at church sponsored functions, what would be the result ? There would be increased slaughter on our highways due to drunken driving including that of teenage drivers. The national crime bill, already the highest on record, will be greatly increased.
As strong drink destroys the mind and body and removes all moral inhibitions, the nation would be further weakened to subversive forces boring from within. The rich owners of huge liquor monopolies and big investors will become richer still as families are reduced to abject poverty, and youth winds up in a gutter. Increased drunkenness is one of the given signs of the last days: "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief... Therefore let us not sleep, as do others, but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day be sober... For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ" (1st Thessalonians 5:4-9).
Those who are drunken in the night are not the children of light. Only the children of light are appointed to obtain salvation. Those who are of the night and darkness including drunkards, are appointed to wrath. What will drunkards do, when in the last great war of this age, the vintage is cut off, and there is no more wine? They will awake and weep and howl as forecast by the prophets. (Joel 1:5; Isaiah 24:1)
In view of His sudden return, Jesus specifically warned Christians, saying "Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares" (Luke21:34). But sad to say, many do not heed this warning. Likewise there are ministers today, who, like the householder in Jesus' parable, have said in their hearts, "My Lord delayeth His coming," and are now engaged in smiting their fellowservants and eating and drinking with the drunken. Upon such, the Lord will come in an hour when they think not, and shall appoint their portion with the hypocrites where "...there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 24.51).

We have a serious drug problem in the United States, and that DRUG is alcohol. More than crack cocaine, ecstasy, methamphetamines, heroine, marijuana, and all other drugs combined [legal or illegal], alcohol is the worst menace. I just read in my local newspaper about a 13-year old girl who was struck and killed by a 56-year old drunk driver. This scenario is repeated all across America on a daily basis. Booze is of the Devil. You'll agree when it's your 13-year old son or daughter. Please read, When It's Too Late.
Miller Beer company claims to be upholding "The American Way" with their Liquid Devil. Tragically, irresponsibility has become the American way. Drunkenness, wild parties, immorality, cursing in God's name, prostitution, divorce, and booze have become the American way! Woe unto America!
Americans turn their radio up to hear Toby Keith sing about the American way, while guzzling their booze so they can go kill someone with their car. America is sinfully proud, a nation of pleasure-seekers, who have disregarded God's Word, and sought out false prophets... "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears" (2nd Timothy 4:3). People have become INTOLERANT to the truth. A preacher can't make it big nowadays unless he dips-his-sails, trims his message, caters to feminists and abortionists, and steers clear of all controversial issues. Take pastor Lon Solomon for example, who stated that abortion is only a "minor concern" in his mega church of 10,000 people every Sunday. What a sorry sellout! The American way is a sinful way.
Did you ever stop to think that alcohol has killed far more Americans than the all of our war dead combined? Alcohol kills more people in just 2-years in America, than all American soldiers killed in WWII. How tragic and sad. The same fool who criticizes the warmongers in Washington, sits there guzzling down a beer, so he can kill more Americans while DYING UNDER THE INFLUENCE (Listen | Download).
Putting Alcohol Into Perspective
Booze is DECEITFUL, just as Proverb 20:1 states. The fact is that no one ever plans to get arrested for a DUI, or to face imprisonment for a conviction of vehicular homicide. No one plans to be reckless, irresponsible and destructive when they consume alcohol, but it happens with thousands of alcohol drinkers every day. Most beer drinkers laugh and scorn at my articles exposing the evils of alcohol, until they kill someone or their loved one gets murdered by an alcoholic fool.
We talk about the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima (killing 80,000 victims), and the nuclear bomb dropped on Nagasaki (which killed another 35,000). Yet, twice that amount of people die every just in the U.S. because of alcohol related car crashes. How's that for dropping a bomb on you! This doesn't include all the industrial workplace related deaths caused by alcohol, or the oil tanker that a drunk barge captain slammed into Alaskan shoreline years ago, which did exponential damage to the environment for decades to come.
More Americans have died from alcohol-related deaths than all of the victims of Hitler's holocaust, and this does not include all of the alcohol-related accidents in other nations. So alcohol is more deadly than the holocaust and the atomic bomb. Why is such a deadly substance, which has proven itself to be a menace to society, kept legal, advertised, and openly promoted? I am upset at the hypocrisy of our government leaders, who outlaw fireworks to protect children, when alcohol has killed thousands more children than fireworks ever have. I think everyone knows of an intersection in their town where someone was rundown and killed by a motorist, and only then did the city put up a stop sign. This seems to be the way most governments work. Someone's got to be killed before anyone will act. Unfortunately, booze is a multi-billion dollar industry, and America has become a land of boozers.
Americans are still in shock from the 911 attacks which killed nearly 3,000 American citizens. Yet, what about the millions of people killed by alcoholics? We need a War On Alcohol in America! The real War On Terror is at home here in the United States, on our streets, because we are living in terror of drunk drivers. I think every time there's another DUI fatality that the business who sold the beer should be sued. Chicago, and many other big cities, have started legally going after gun shop owners who indiscriminately sell guns to anyone with money. Why don't those same hypocritical city leaders go after the taverns and night clubs that indiscriminately sell booze to anyone? Is not a car as much a deadly weapon and a threat as a loaded gun? Yes, it certainly is! Our laws are plagued with injustice, sinful hypocrisy, and corruption. The bottom line is that alcohol is destroying America.
I took my dog down to the park the other day and the poor thing cut her front paw open on some glass from a broken beer bottle. All across America, our parks and public walkways are littered with broken glass from beer bottles. America is not anywhere as beautiful as she could be, because our nation has abandoned the God of the Bible. Most people simply don't care anymore. Booze makes people not care, so they drink even more beer. The hallmark quality of being a Christian is caring. Do you care? It's tragic how many professed Christians drink booze, and are no different from the sinful world. This is a woeful evil.
In the 9 years of the Vietnam War, 57,000 Americans died fighting for our political leader's selfish agendas. Millions protested that atrocity in the streets, completely blind to the 2 million victims who died at the hands of alcohol during the same period of time. Where are the protesters to the evils of alcohol?
We ask, what can we do about cancer/aids/and starving children? Well, what about alcohol?
If a horrible plague struck America today, Hollywood actors would put on telethons raising money to find a cure!
Rock stars would pack 'em in by the thousands for benefit concerts! Churches all across America would collect donations for the victims. Scientists would be hard at work, and rewards would be offered for anyone who could find an antidote! Politicians would run on the platform of stopping the plague that's killing America! Yet, tragically, alcohol is a malignant disease, a silent killer that continues to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10).
More than 400 Americans will die this week in alcohol-related car wrecks; many of them innocent people, victimized by a drunk driver. That's more people than fit on a 747 jumbo jet! What if a packed 747 went down once a week every week and everyone died? Would we be up in arms? Would there be a congressional investigation? Yes, of course!
The beer barons have done a number on us with our consent! We hear the name Busch and think of gardens or a baseball stadium! Coors has us thinking about snow-capped mountains and icy springs when we hear their name! When we hear about "God's country," we think about Old-Style beer! But it's destruction!
Sadly, people are drinking trying to find happiness and in the end it's the one thing they have the least of! And even if they did have a good time briefly, they can't remember it!
Alcohol and Immorality are Inseparable
"Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder. Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things." —Proverb 23:31-32
Proverb 23:32- What is in the bite of a serpent? Poison!
Why do people drink and vomit? It's because their stomach has more sense than their head! Their body rejects the poison. That's why we call it being intoxicated. It's a toxin!
Proverb 23:33- strange women = someone you're not married to! Look at verses 26-27.
Alcohol breaks down inhibitions and restraint. Guys know it and they jest, candy is dandy but liquor is quicker!
Proverb 23:34- tottering, staggering drunk, can't walk straight, talk straight, or think straight, and yet the commercial calls him the man of distinction.
Proverb 23:35- They sober up and realize it's wrong, and regret it. They agree with this message, and still say, "I will seek it yet again."
Social drinkers say, just keep it in moderation; just one drink and then put it down. But a wise Chinese proverb goes... First the man takes a drink, then the drink takes a drink, and then the drink takes the man."
Alcohol Mocks the Fools Who Drink It!
According to Proverb 20:1, wine is a mocker. What a mockery for the beer companies to have such control over America. P.T. Barnum made millions on the premise that... "There's a sucker born every minute!" The beer barons are counting on it!
Think with me what a mockery the beer barons make of us:
* At worldly weddings the couple takes their glass and hoists up in the air something which is the most likely thing in the world to destroy their marriage. What a mockery!
* A new baby arrives; same thing; a mockery!
* Superbowl/Athletic events: who's the biggest sponsor? The beer companies! And yet it will ruin an athlete. Connie Mack said, "Alcohol has thrown more men out of baseball than all the umpires put together."
* Beer companies put on commercials bragging about money they give to charities; but they don't talk about the billions they cost U.S. taxpayers. Alcohol deeply hurts those of us who don't drink - in crime, welfare, taxes, insurance rates, etc. Experts say that for every dollar beer companies give, it costs us $4 to clean up the mess!
It's a mockery!
* People drink for____; but end up____:
happiness; unhappy
Joy; miserable
Sociability; argumentative
Sophistication; obnoxious
Friendship; enemies
Sleep; can't rest
Strength; become weak
Relaxation; begin shaking
Bravery; afraid
Confidence; doubtful
Strike up a conversation; slurred speech
Feel heavenly; Hellish
Forget; forever haunted
Freedom; slaves
Escape; problems multiplied
Cope w/ life; die/suicide
What a mockery alcohol is making of our society! That's the deception!
What's the deliverance?
Proverb 23:31- don't look at it! Even if you think YOU can handle it, God says, because of all the above, don't even look at it! As Pastor Jack Hyles said in a sermon, "You can't take two drinks of alcohol if you don't take the first."
Back in Proverb 23:20-- Don't associate with alcohol drinkers!
Alcohol is the Devil's substitute for a spirit-filled life.
Ephesians 5:18, "Be not drunk with wine; but be filled with the spirit!"
If you're reading this and you've been a social drinker, please realize that I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at the Devil and his followers who have deceived you. After hearing God's Word on this matter, I'm sure you're mad too! You ought to be! I attended the funeral of a pregnant woman who was killed by a drunk driver years ago. There were two caskets. I cannot tell you what it did to me that day when for the first time in my life, I saw a small casket being lowered into the ground. We always see the full-size caskets on TV, etc; but to see a miniature sized casket being buried into the ground causes one to think about all the blessings of life denied to that child. The drunk driver lived, unfortunately. I do not wish to see anyone die; but if anyone should die, it's the alcohol-impaired driver. And let me point out something very important while I'm on the subject, MOST alcohol-related accidents involve people who's BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) is within the legal limit of .08 (eight hundredths). This just proves that the legal limit is bogus.
"The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) position on the relationship between blood alcohol concentration and driving is that driving performance degrades after just one drink."

Janelle Kanovich, 22, of Harrisburg, Pa., drinks free tequila at a nightclub during her first night of spring break in Cancun, Mexico. A new report shows that drinking among college students needs to seen as a major health concern, experts say.
April 9 — The consequences of college drinking are more destructive than commonly thought, suggests a new study that finds an estimated 1,400 students aged 18 to 24 are killed every year in alcohol-related accidents.
“HALF THE World Trade Center casualties are happening every year in our colleges,” said one researcher, Mark Goldman, a psychology professor at the University of South Florida.
The study, which the researchers call the most comprehensive look ever at the consequences of college drinking, also estimated it contributes to 500,000 injuries and 70,000 cases of sexual assault or date rape. And 400,000 students between 18 and 24 years old reported having had unprotected sex as a result of drinking.
Additionally, more than one-fourth of college students in that age group have driven while under the influence in the past year, the report said.
The researchers say the figures show that college drinking needs to seen as a major health concern.
“Historically, I think there has been the view that whatever college students are doing, it’s not that serious a problem, it’s a rite of passage,” said another researcher, Kenneth J. Sher, a psychology professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
The report was one of 24 studies commissioned by federally supported Task Force on College Drinking, a panel of college presidents, scientists and students convened by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. The institute is part of the National Institutes of Health.
Most of the papers will be published in the forthcoming March issue of the Journal of Studies on Alcohol.
Study sheds light on dangerous drinking
April 9, 2002 — A major new study reveals disturbing details about the dangerous drinking habits on college campuses across America. NBC’s Robert Hager reports.
Researchers integrated various databases and survey results to reach their findings.
Motor vehicle fatalities were the most common form of alcohol-related deaths. The statistics included college students killed in car accidents if the students had alcohol in their blood, even if the level was below the legal limit.
Students who died in other alcohol-related accidents, such as falls and drownings, were included. Those who died as a result of homicides or suicides were not.
Chief researcher Ralph Hingson of the Boston University School of Public Health said he believes the estimates are more likely to be too conservative than overstated.
“I think actually getting the numbers out will help the public understand that this is a very large problem, perhaps a larger problem than people might have otherwise thought,” he said.

Though common on many campuses, alcohol abuse does not run rampant among all university students, the panel said. Previous studies have shown that most students drink moderately or abstain, with the proportion of teetotalers increasing from 15 percent to 19 percent from 1993 to 1999.
In general, drinking rates are highest among incoming freshmen, males, members of fraternities or sororities and athletes, the task force said. Students who attend two-year institutions, religious schools, commuter schools or predominantly or historically black colleges drink the least.
The big problem: Binge drinking, defined as five or more drinks in a row for men and at least four for women.
About 40 percent of students binge drink, according to background data in the report, about the same percentage as in the early 1990s.
And in a recent survey, about 20 percent of students reported bingeing more than three times in the last two weeks. That group accounts for nearly 70 percent of all the alcohol consumed by college students, the panel said.
“Although a minority of college students engage in high-risk drinking, [all] suffer its negative consequences,” said Reverend Edward Malloy, president of the University of Notre Dame and co-chair of the Task Force.
Hingson and other panelists say studies have shown what works - and what doesn’t - in deterring alcohol use.
What Colleges Can Do!
Among the steps that universities can take to create a healthy environment on campus:
* Enforce existing age 21 laws on campus.
* Help students understand that they have the right not to drink and to have negative feelings about its consequences.
* Communicate alcohol policies to students and parents.
* Limit the availability of alcohol on campus.
* Use brief motivational interventions, such as giving feedback on students' personal drinking behavior and negative consequences.
* Increase screening and outreach programs to identify students who could benefit from alcohol-related services.
* Avoid educational efforts focused primarily on facts about alcohol and associated harm. They have proven to be ineffective.
* Use educational interventions that provide new information such as informing students about drinking-and-driving laws and explaining how to care for peers who show signs of alcohol poisoning.
Goldman said general messages warning of the dangers of alcohol do not appear to be effective with college students, at least by themselves. What’s more effective is teaching students how to resist peer pressure.
“Many of the students don’t want to do it, but they don’t know how to say no,” he said.
Communities and colleges need to work together as well to prevent underage drinking and limit the number of stores that sell alcohol, he said.
“The university can’t do them by themselves because even if they did effective things, it might just squeeze it off into the community,” Goldman said.

A song that has recently hit the top of the country music charts is GET DRUNK AND BE SOMEBODY by singer Toby Keith.
When I first heard the song, I couldn't help but think of all the innocent people who have been victimized by a drunk driver, and how they would feel after hearing such a foolish and horrible song. Here is the chorus to the song...

Yeah, yeah, yeah...
Be somebody? Are you an idiot? Do you really think getting drunk makes you a somebody? Or is it that you don't really mean what you're singing, but it'll sell some records because that's what a lot of fools want to hear? No doubt, Toby Keith and his producers are getting rich. This is just further evidence of the apostate condition in America.
We have forgotten God! We are a nation of drunken gluttons, who glorify getting drunk, acting the fool, and suffering a hangover the next morning. I've never understood the self-gratification that people receive from bragging to others that they got drunk, danced naked on the roof, woke up in a stranger's apartment, puked on their neighbors lawn, or drove the car through the garage door. Oh boy, sounds like fun doesn't it? Idiots! We are living in a nation of idiots. Sadly, the biggest idiots are the judges and legislators who allow this debauchery to continue.
I mean, we're crazy in America. Our government is more concerned about children drowning in open 5-gallon buckets, than they are about children being killed by drunk drivers. Every year in America, millions of people are either killed, injured or permanently crippled because of alcohol. Alcohol is a deadly poison... "deadly" because it is NOT recognized in society as such. Beer is without a doubt one of the MOST consumed beverages today. Is it any wonder that so many people are still becoming victims.
One of the most hypocritical sayings in America is the slogan, "Say No To Drugs." I've heard songs aired over the radio condemning the use of illegal drugs, while never mentioning a word about it's evil brother—ALCOHOL! Alcoholics have killed many more people than all of the illegal drug users put together. Yet, why do we not outlaw alcohol? It's because too many people love their beer.
So then why don't we prosecute drunk drivers with first-degree murder, and send them to the electric chair? It's because too many people would stop drinking for fear of facing the consequences or their irresponsible actions. In effect, drinking beer wouldn't be fun anymore, and the beer companies would lose billions of dollars. Follow the money! The beer companies have all become filthy rich, at the expense of innocent lives.
Beer is a substance best left alone...

How many people drive a car after drinking one beer? Millions! According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, they are potentially DANGEROUS! Yet, nothing is done about this evil in America. Even worse, musical artists like Toby Keith glamorize getting drunk. He even has the audacity to mention "God" in his song—a song that anyone should be ashamed to sing.
Instead of being the proper type of role model for America's youth, he has sent out a clear message that GETTING DRUNK is the cool thing to do. It's not! It's a totally stupid thing to do! I wonder how many people are going to get drunk this weekend because of Toby Keith's song. The song is a clear INVITATION to get drunk...

Who do we think we are as Americans? We think we can do anything we feel like doing, whether it be risking other people's lives by getting drunk, or outright murdering innocent Iraqis to steal their oil. God is angry with America as a nation. We have forsaken God, morality, and justice.
Toby Keith is just one of many singing fools these days. I didn't write this article to personally attack anyone, I simply wrote this article to point out that it is a crying shame for America's top entertainers to glorify something as dangerous as getting drunk. It is irresponsible as far as I'm concerned.

Alcohol and Traffic Deaths
* Between 1982 and 1993, 266,291 deaths in the United States were alcohol-related -- one fatality every 30 minutes.
* Traffic fatalities in alcohol-related crashes rose by 4 percent from 1994 to 1995. The 17,274 alcohol-related fatalities in 1995 (41 percent of total traffic fatalities for the year) represent a 24 percent reduction from the 22,715 alcohol-related fatalities reported in 1985 (52 percent of the total).
* The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that alcohol was involved in 41 percent of fatal crashes and in 7 percent of all crashes in 1995.
* The 17,274 fatalities in alcohol-related crashes during 1995 represent an average of one alcohol-related fatality every 30 minutes.
* More than 300,000 people were injured in crashes where police reported that alcohol was present -- an average of one person injured approximately every two minutes.
* Approximately 1.4 million drivers were arrested in 1994 for driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. This is an arrest rate of one for every 127 licensed drivers in the United States.
* In 1995, 32 percent of all traffic fatalities occurred in crashes in which at least one driver or non-occupant had a blood-alcohol content of .10 or greater. More than two-thirds of the 13,564 people killed in such crashes were themselves intoxicated. The remaining one-third were passengers, non-intoxicated drivers, or non-intoxicated non-occupants.
* The rate of alcohol involvement in fatal crashes is three and one-third times as high at night as during the day (62.3 percent vs. 18.8 percent). For all crashes, the alcohol involvement rate is nearly five times as high at night (14 percent vs. 3 percent).
* In 1995, 32 percent of all fatal crashes during the week were alcohol-related, compared to 54 percent on weekends. For all crashes, the alcohol involvement rate was 5 percent during the week and 11 percent during the weekend.
* In 1995, 32.5 percent of all fatal traffic accidents involved drivers with a blood-alcohol content of greater than 10.

Many people call alcoholism a disease. If it is a disease, then it is the only disease without germ or virus, the only one that is bottled and sold over the counter for a profit and brings in tax revenue for the government, state, county and state. If it is a disease, then it is the only disease that turns our boys into criminals and our girls into prostitutes, the only one that has the official approval of the Congress of the United States which passed a resolution to enact the 21st Amendment bringing an end to the Prohibition era, thus allowing the manufacture and sale of alcoholic beverages.
While there are those who call alcoholism a disease, God still calls it sin. In Proverbs 23:29-31, we find that it is wrong to drink an alcoholic beverage: Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. Not only does God say that it is wrong to drink alcohol, it is equally wrong to give or sell it to someone. Woe unto him that giveth his neighbor drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness. (Habakkuk 2:15).
Those who have become alcoholics did not become so overnight it all started by taking that one drink, and that put them on the road to drunkenness. They thought they could get away with it, but, Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. (Proverbs 20:1).
There probably has never been a franker advertisement in the world than that which was made by one James M. Lawrence, who opened "The Naked Truth Saloon" in Boise, Idaho on February 24, 1886, and who ran an advertisement in the Boise Democrat of that date as follows:
"Friends and Neighbors: Having just opened a commodious shop for the sale of liquid fire, I embrace this opportunity of informing you that I have commenced the business of making drunkards, paupers and beggars for the sober, industrious and respectable portion of the community to support. I shall deal in family spirits which will incite men to deeds of riots, robbery and bloodshed, and by so doing diminish the comfort, augment the expenses, and endanger the welfare of the community.
I will on short notice, for a sum, and with great expectations, undertake to prepare victims for the asylums, poor farms, prisons and gallows.
I will furnish and article that will increase accidents, multiply the number of distressing diseases and render those who are harmless incurables.
I will deal in drugs which will deprive some of life, many of reason, most of property, and all of their peace, which will cause fathers to becomes fiends and wives widows and children to become orphans and all mendicants.
I will cause many of the rising generation to grow up in ignorance and prove a burden and a nuisance to the nation. I will cause mothers to forget their offsprings, and cruelty to take the place of love.
I will sometimes corrupt the ministers of religion, define the purity of the Church, and cause temporary spiritual and eternal death; and if any be so impertinent as to ask me why I have the audacity to bring such accumulated misery upon the people, my honest reply is Money. The spirit trade is lucrative, and some professing Christians give their cheerful countenance.
From the U.S. government I have purchased the right to demolish the character, destroy the health, and shorten the lives and ruin the souls of those who choose to honor me with their custom.
I pledge myself to do all that I have promised. Those who wish any of the evils before specified brought upon themselves or their dear friends, are requested to meet me at my bar where I will for a few cents furnish them with the certain means of doing so."
If these words applied then, they apply equally today.
While there are grave consequences for indulging in alcohol, the devils brew, there is a way of escape. You see my friend, If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:36). While A.A. may be of some Help, Jesus Christ is the ultimate help, for not only is He able to give deliverance from the bondage of alcohol, He is also able to save your eternal soul for all eternity. Perhaps you didn't know it, my friend, but when Christ died on the Cross and shed His blood, He was in fact paying your sin debt in Himself He was literally your substitute (Hebrews 9). Having been bodily raised from the dead by the power of God, Christ is now in Heaven, and because He lives, each one who places his faith in Him for forgiveness of sin and eternal life will also live eternally with Him. (I John 5:11-13). Friend, will you now repent (turn from) of your sin, and by faith alone admit to God that you are a sinner, ask for His forgiveness and for Christ to come into your heart and be your Saviour? The forgiveness of sin can be yours Eternal life can be yours. Deliverance from alcohol can be yours--but only in Christ!

I scanned the following article from the December 31, 2007 Pacific Daily News. Please understand that I don't condemn anyone. We all make mistakes in life. The woman went out to have a good time, drinking with friends, and was in jail by the end of the night for manslaughter. Alcohol is a dangerous thing to mess with. That is my only purpose of this article. My heart goes out to everyone involved...

# Effects of BAC of 0.07 to 0.09 percent: Slight impairment of balance, speech, vision, reaction time, and hearing. Euphoria. Judgment and self-control are reduced, and caution, reason and memory are impaired, .08 is legally impaired and it is illegal to drive at this level. Alcohol was primarily intended by God to be used a medicine (1st Timothy 5:23), not to be to be deceitfully advertised and abused as a recreational drug. Alcohol commercials always include promiscuously dressed women, because drunkenness and fornication are nearly synonymous. Alcohol by definition is a “narcotic,” but it is abused a thousand times more than prescription drugs, such as Percocet. Millions of people die around the world, families are destroyed and countless more are permanently disabled or commit horrible crimes because of alcohol. King James highlighted many of the same evils of alcohol in his time that are plaguing America today. Theft is often commonplace amongst alcoholics. I agree with King James, who's last name was also Stewart by the way... taverns are a “vile place.” They are morally reprehensible houses of sin. If you want to find sin, look no further than your local tavern.
King James also said something very interesting... many people have no real job in life except to sell beer. That is their sole source of income. It is unethical and wrong in my opinion. I feel the same way about professional sports. I don't think anyone should make a living playing sports, pastoring, or making music or selling booze. In a real economy, people are expected to work (produce). While Americans are paying tens-of-millions of dollars for their favorite singer's latest CD, we import most of our consumer goods from slave-labor nations (like China and India). Every American ought to produce something tangible.
It just bothers me that U.S. music producers can take any woman who's willing to strip naked and behave like a whore, and then have her sing through some fancy computerized equipment they could make Oscar-the-Grouch sound awesome, and then charge $15 per CD. Meanwhile some poor struggling mother is getting paid 15-cents an hour in China, working 16 hours a day in a sweat shop, with no union representation, in horrid working conditions. To me, it is immoral in itself for anyone to make their sole living on the sale of beer. That's why I refuse to play my steel guitar at bars, because they want to exploit my God-given talent to sell beer. I like playing for the elderly in nursing homes or other free functions. I'm glad that King James hated beer, a man after my own heart. I'm sure, beer has cost the American people a TRILLION dollars in damages over the last century. So much of that money could have been used to build youth centers for America's wayward children who are busy selling illegal drugs, killing each other, fighting over territory and loitering in the streets. The very city leaders who criticize such rough teens rip off billions of dollars, scam by scam, that could be used to help them. We always hear our city leaders talking about helping the poor, but the poor stay poor. It's all a bunch of deceitful rhetoric.

As my pastor used to wisely say, you can't take two drinks of beer if you don't take one.
It is comforting to know that the honorable King James, who commissioned the production of the precious King James Bible, also despised the sale of beer and publickly voiced his concerns over the evils associated with beer. May we as Bible-believing Christians who love the Lord Jesus Christ do the same.

A veteran Chicago Fire Lieutenant was killed and a second firefighter listed in critical condition when a ladder truck responding to a false alarm on Saturday, Apr. 29 was broadsided by a truck that failed to yield the right-of-way at a four-way stop intersection, officials said. Twelve other people were injured, including three firefighters.

Fire Lieutenant L. C. Merrell and Firefighter Rodney Sevier was ejected from their unit when it was broadsided by a landscape truck in an intersection, officials said.
Merrell, the unit's officer, was pronounced dead a short time after being transported to Christ Hospital. Sevier was listed in fair condition Monday at the same hospital with multiple injuries, police said.
A third firefighter was released from an area hospital Sunday and the two others were treated and released with minor injuries on Saturday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
At least nine civilians were injured, none seriously.
Merrell, 43, was an 18-year veteran who is survived by his wife and four children. Their ages were not immediately available early Sunday. He
According to officials, Truck Company 24 was returning from a response when it was dispatched on an automatic alarm call shortly before Noon on the city's South Side.
The unit had slowed down as it approached a four-way stop at the intersection of 107th and Throop Streets. The landscape truck went through a stop sign, and broadsided the responding unit on the front passenger side.
"There's no criminal negligence, it's just a terrible accident," Sgt. Matthew Brown of the Chicago Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Unit told Firehouse.Com News early Sunday.
The driver of the landscape truck, 56-year-old Isac Zepeda, was issued three traffic citations, including disobeying a stop sign, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and failure to properly wear a seat belt. More serious charges would not be filed in connection with Merrell's death, Brown said. Six people were traveling in the pickup truck, reports said.
A third vehicle was also involved in the crash. Witnesses in that vehicle told the Chicago Sun-Times that the pickup truck ignored the stop sign.
Officials said they did not know if the firefighters had been wearing the seat belts, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. City regulations require that emergency units have control of an intersection before going through.
"The fire truck slowed down, but it was a four way stop and they had their emergency lights on," Brown said. "[The lights] are a request for a right-of-way to go through, not automatic, but in this case [the fire truck] was already in the middle of the intersection when [it] was [struck]."
Grief counselors were called in to assist those who worked with Merrell and his crew deal with the tragedy. Firefighters were keeping vigil at Christ Hospital for those still hospitalized.

The driver of a car that fatally struck a Chicago fire lieutenant on Saturday has been charged with reckless homicide.
Seeing the driver held accountable, however, can provide little satisfaction for the fire department, said spokesman Mike Cosgrove.
"It will not bring Lt. Gillen back," he said. "The fire department is in the midst of preparing a funeral to honor the firefighter and at this time wishes that the law enforcement authorities perform their job and charge the driver with whatever is appropriate," the spokesman said.
Newly appointed lieutenant Scott Gillen, 37, the father of five daughters, was killed as he was working at the scene of a traffic accident shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
Police said the driver of the car, Carlando Hurt, failed to merge around the parked emergency vehicles.
Gillen was trapped between the car and his own ladder truck, which he had been standing behind. After he was extricated, he was taken to an area hospital where he died a short time later. There were no other serious injuries in the crash.
Other charges Hunt faces include failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, driving under the influence and driving with a revoked license. At a bond hearing, prosecutors also told the judge that Hurt was legally drunk at the tie of the crash, the Chicago Tribune reported. Hunt's bond was set at $400,000.
Gillen was a 14-year veteran of the fire department and is part of a firefighting family. He had been promoted to lieutenant just two weeks ago. The death was the second this year in Chicago involving a vehicle-related accident. Chicago Fire Lieutenant L. C. Merrell was killed and a second firefighter seriously injured when a ladder truck responding to a false alarm on Saturday, Apr. 29 was broadsided by a truck that failed to yield the right-of-way at a four-way stop intersection.
"It is clear that there are members of the public that are not respecting the importance of emergency vehicles responding to alarms," Cosgrove said. "The fire commissioner is very upset that this situation takes such a heavy toll."

Visitation services for Gillen will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 26th from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Sheehy Funeral Home in the 9000 block of W. 151st Street in Orland Park, Ill.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 27th at 10 a.m. at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, at 10234 S. Washtenaw Ave. in Chicago.

Those who believe it is OK to drink booze are using the Bible to justify their behavior, rather than to shape their behavior. This is typical of interpreting the Bible to fit one's desires. I do not drink alcohol for the same reason that I don't step on the tracks in front of a moving train. Asking whether drinking is a sin is like asking whether it's a sin to play Russian Roulette with one empty chamber. There is no reason to spiritualize this issue. If you think you can drink and handle it, you are either in denial or you simply haven't suffered the consequences that invariably accompany alcohol.
Even if we believe the Bible permits consumption, what does wisdom tell us? Truthfully, drinking is stupid. Here in the United States, there is absolutely no reason to do it — and, we're surrounded by reasons not to do it. Alcohol is a lot more potent today compared to Jesus' time. Wine in the Bible was naturally fermented; not fermented using a still as it is today (which produces a much higher concentration of alcohol). It doesn't take much to get drunk these days, depending on what you are drinking and your tolerance. Add to this our culture's use of drunkenness as a form of stress reliever and you have imminent disaster. Booze is glorified on TV, radio and is an official staple of college spring break.
Alcohol has led many unsuspecting victims into the SIN of drunkenness. Alcohol often destroys lives and families!!! I stood over the grave of a mother and her child, both killed by a drunk driver. The drunk driver lived, but he killed a pregnant mother and her unborn child. It is murder!
I thank God for organizations like Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) who are doing their best to fight against the evils of alcohol; but God is against more than just drunk drivers... GOD HATES BOOZE, THE SALOON, AND THE ENTIRE BEER INDUSTRY.

DYING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Beer is extremely dangerous because it contains less alcohol than stronger drinks such as whiskey. Beer drinkers are under a FALSE sense of security and are likely to consume much more alcohol. The alcohol barons are liars and won't tell the truth to the public. Most deaths caused by alcohol are directly the result of BEER drinking; not hard liquor.
In addition, most alcohol-related accidents involve drivers with a BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration) under .08 (the legal limit). A 13-year old girl was recently struck and killed by an alcohol-impaired driver in our neighborhood. His BAC was .06, so legally he couldn't be charged with drunk driving, even though he was stumbling from his car and talking in mumble.
Alcohol has PROVEN to be a menace to our society. America needs Billy Sundays to rise up all across this once great nation, preaching uncompromisingly hard and loud sermons against the evils of booze. Truly, alcohol has earned the name LIQUID DEVIL.

Yet, hundreds-of-thousands of people every year die in America because of alcohol-related accidents. Or was it an accident? Drunk driving is no accident.

Drunkenness and the End of the Age
Social drinking is not the solution to the problem of alcoholism. Rather the social glass is the starting point of the majority of alcoholics.
If legal age barriers are eliminated in the sale of alcoholic beverages, and boys and girls are encouraged to drink in the homes, in society, and at church sponsored functions, what would be the result ? There would be increased slaughter on our highways due to drunken driving including that of teenage drivers. The national crime bill, already the highest on record, will be greatly increased.
As strong drink destroys the mind and body and removes all moral inhibitions, the nation would be further weakened to subversive forces boring from within. The rich owners of huge liquor monopolies and big investors will become richer still as families are reduced to abject poverty, and youth winds up in a gutter. Increased drunkenness is one of the given signs of the last days: "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief... Therefore let us not sleep, as do others, but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day be sober... For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ" (1st Thessalonians 5:4-9).
Those who are drunken in the night are not the children of light. Only the children of light are appointed to obtain salvation. Those who are of the night and darkness including drunkards, are appointed to wrath. What will drunkards do, when in the last great war of this age, the vintage is cut off, and there is no more wine? They will awake and weep and howl as forecast by the prophets. (Joel 1:5; Isaiah 24:1)
In view of His sudden return, Jesus specifically warned Christians, saying "Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares" (Luke21:34). But sad to say, many do not heed this warning. Likewise there are ministers today, who, like the householder in Jesus' parable, have said in their hearts, "My Lord delayeth His coming," and are now engaged in smiting their fellowservants and eating and drinking with the drunken. Upon such, the Lord will come in an hour when they think not, and shall appoint their portion with the hypocrites where "...there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 24.51).

That's $166,543,000,000! It cost the American people $166,543,000,000 in 1995 because of the evils associated with alcohol. That adds up to trillions of wasted dollars every decade! So many people question the sinfulness of alcohol itself. Don't look at the alcohol, look at the statistics! Look at what evils are caused by the consumption of alcohol!
Most people wake up to the evils of alcohol when their child gets plowed into by a drunkard. When you see your child's head cracked open, with brains hanging out, with blood splattered all over the street, and some drunk fool behind the wheel doesn't even know what just happened... then maybe you'll hate booze like God does.
I watched a man run a knife clear through his hand while cutting a rubber hose because he had too much alcohol to drink. And that's the great deception, how much alcohol is too much? It's a fact that many accidents involving alcohol are committed by drunks within the legal limit of 0.08 BAC. So legally they are not considered "drunk." It is wickedness.

Beer destroys lives! Why should the non-alcohol drinking citizens in America have to pay for the reckless and irresponsible behavior of many of those who DO drink alcohol? Alcohol-related accidents cost the U.S. economy billions upon billions of dollars every year. Why hasn't congress stepped in to put an end to this evil? I think the following quote says it all...

In 1998 alone...41,471 people lost their lives in tragic car collisions. Of those collisions, over 15,938 were related to alcohol. More then 305,000 people were injured in alcohol related collisions. Estimated costs relating to EACH alcohol-related fatality collision are about $900,000 (and $20,000 for EACH non-fatality injury collision). This includes court costs, insurance pay outs and medical payments.
Nearly 1/2 of all alcohol related collisions are among drivers 21 to 35.
December tops the list as deadliest of months to drive. Deaths go up due to alcohol consumption during the holidays as well as worsened weather.
I'm tired of hearing the godless alcohol industry propagate the dangerous advice not to drink and drive. People shouldn't drink alcohol at all. Listen folks, a drunk person is out of their mind, what's to stop them from getting into their car and driving? That's right, in MOST cases, NOTHING. This BEST ADVICE is NOT to drink alcohol in any form at all.

Only 7 percent of all crashes involve alcohol use, but nearly 39 percent of
fatal crashes do. (NHTSA, 1999)
Traffic crashes are the greatest single cause of death for every age from
six through 33. Almost half of these fatalities are in alcohol-related

Approximately 18% of all drivers involved in fatal crashes in 1998 were
intoxicated at the time of their crash (21% in 1993). (NHTSA, 1999)
In single-vehicle fatal crashes occurring on weekend nights in 1998,
72.3% of the fatally injured driver's 25 years old or older were intoxicated,
as compared with 57.7% of drivers under the age of 25. (NHTSA, 1995)
In 1998, 29% of all fatal crashes during the week were alcohol-related,
compared to 52% on weekends. For all crashes, the alcohol involvement

It is estimated that 2.6 million drunk driving crashes each year victimize 4
million innocent people who are injured or have their vehicles damaged.

In 1993, one in 100 drivers had a BAC of .10 or greater. About 16 billion
miles were driven drunk. (Miller et al, 1996c)
In fatal crashes, the proportion of drivers who were intoxicated (blood
alcohol content of .10 or greater) decreased from 25% in 1988 to 18% in
1998, a 28% decrease in that proportion. (NHTSA, 1999)
The highest intoxication rates in fatal crashes in 1996 were recorded for
driver's 21-24 years old, followed by ages 25-34 and 35-44. These three
groups have shown the smallest reductions since 1985. (NHTSA, 1999)
Male drivers involved in fatal crashes were nearly twice as likely to have
been intoxicated (21.8%) than were females (11.2%). (NHTSA, 1996)

The Hypocrisy of Underage Drinking Warnings

Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) and numerous other organizations are spending lots of money in an effort to warn teenagers about the dangers of "Underage Drinking." I heard a radio commercial the other day that made a big deal about the "dangers" of Underage Drinking; but what about the dangers of Adult Drinking?
To only focus upon Underage Drinking is a BIG LIE because it gives the wrongful impression that it acceptable for ADULTS to drink alcohol, and it's certainly not. Children are going to follow in their parents footsteps. If parents drink beer, so will their kids. If it's ok for mom and dad to get "buzzed" on alcohol, then their teens are going to do the same. It's utterly hypocritical for adults to make a big issue of Underage Drinking to their kids, while getting buzzed themselves from the beer they consume.
Of course, the Bible condemns "strong drink" (Proverb 20:1). However, without even addressing the Bible, there's a preponderance of evidence showing that alcohol is a deadly drug. Alcohol is a mind-altering drug! This is why alcohol was outlawed in the 1920s. Tragically, Americans refused to part with their desire to get "buzzed" and the Prohibition Law was repealed in 1933.
Adult Drinking is just as dangerous as Underage Drinking, and this is the message that needs to be taught to teens.

It is sad that an organization which was once founded by America's ministers is now defunct. Folks, booze is as sinful today as it was in 1893!!! Little children and mamas are still being beaten, innocent people are still dying in car accidents, taxpayers are still paying for the humongous damages associated with alcohol.
"The Anti-Saloon League was founded in 1893 in Ohio. An organization opposed to the sale of alcoholic beverages, it drew most of its support from church and temperance societies. Many business leaders believed their workers would be more productive if alcohol could be withheld with them. Alcohol and bribery always go together (Isaiah 5:23-23). The pious hypocrite Rockefeller was a member of the Anti-Saloon League and actually donated $350,000 to the prohibition cause. He HATED the booze business because he did not control it!!
When prohibition was enacted in 1920, Rockefeller bought up all the distilleries and wineries at a pittance. Then when prohibition was repealed by Rockefeller stooge Roosevelt in 1933, the booze money began to flow into the Rockefeller coffers. That is why the Rockefeller owned newspapers are constantly telling people that alcohol is GOOD for you. They know that you will soon be visiting the Rockefeller controlled "doctors" and be using Rockefeller "drugs" to cure you. That is why "doctors" in the U.S. are not trying to stop the alcohol/poison business which is the main cause of illness and death in the country." -SOURCE
Why did those preachers and pastor quit? Just because the prohibition amendment to the Constitution was repealed doesn't mean that God has quit! God hates the alcohol industry!
Rockefeller billions began with BOOZE!!!
Rockefeller had a partner by the name of William M. Flagler. Flagler married the niece of a man named Stephen V. Harkness. Harkness owned a WHISKEY DISTILLERY. Rockefeller made a fortune by selling WHISKEY to the Union army:
"Rockefeller had been watching Flagler, his neighbor in the Case Block. He had shrewdly appraised the talents of that gentleman. But he had also perceived something else. Flagler had married the niece of a man who had lately made a great fortune. This man was Stephen V. Harkness. Harkness owned a distillery near Monroeville, Ohio. Toward the end of the war when the government was raking the land with a fine-tooth comb for values to tax, it fell naturally upon whiskey. John Sherman knew the government was going to put a heavy excise upon whiskey and he mentioned the fact to his friend, S. V. Harkness. Harkness needed nothing more than this tip. He proceeded to buy up with all the funds he could collect every barrel of whiskey he could lay hold of. When the tax was levied, Harkness found himself with an enormous amount of untaxed whiskeys which he could sell at the high prices exacted because of the tax. He promptly turned his investment into cash. This provided him with one of the amplest fortunes in Cleveland. Rockefeller knew of this adventure. And here was Flagler, Harkness' nephew by marriage, at Rockefeller's very door. Here was an entree to Harkness' treasure chest" (God's Gold, p, 134).

The Alcohol Industry is Responsible!

God hates the lying deceit of those greedy men and women of the alcohol industry who try to pass the blame for alcohol-related injuries and deaths solely on the public. No sir! The alcohol industry is just as much to blame! In major cities across America, city lawyers are suing gun retailers who sell guns to ANYONE if the gun is ever used in a crime down the road by another owner. The city of Chicago sued a gun shop owner for selling a gun to a police officer that later ended up in the hands of a street gang member who shot someone to death. Increasingly, these types of lawsuits are being filed against gun shop owners to scare them out of business. It's an attack on our 2nd Amendment Bill of Rights. The police state Communists want to take away out guns. The point I want to stress here is that the people who SELL guns are being indirectly blamed for the people who use those guns to commit crimes (even if the person who bought the gun didn't commit the crime).
So why doesn't the same standards apply to the alcohol industry? I mean, when a drunk slams into another car and kills someone, the city should sue the tavern who sold him the alcoholic beverage. The alcohol company that sold the beer to that tavern should be sued as well. Do you know why cities all across America are suing gun shops? Because they want to reduce the number of guns. And it's working! If only the same standards were applied to the alcohol industry, drunkenness would be virtually eliminated within months. Would you sell anyone a beer if you knew you could get sued if he goes out and hurts someone (or himself)? No way, you'd give up the business!
This double standard is the height of hypocrisy in America and PROOF that the alcohol manufacturers, taverns, and traffickers are all guilty of murder, child abuse, wife beatings, and wreaking economic havoc.
Increased Crime Because of Prohibition is the Devil's Lie
I hear so many people defending the legalization of alcohol by claiming that the prohibition laws only caused massive crime. They love to tout about gangsters, Al Capone, machine guns, etc. Did you ever stop to realize that there were few gangsters anywhere else besides Chicago? People from around the world still come to Chicago to see Al Capone's town. Other than a museum, a restaurant, and a a few murals, there's not much to see. Why would people idolize such a filthy criminal who died of Syphilis in Florida? Al Capone was a total loser in God's eyes. People like to claim that the prohibition laws created a massive illegal underground black market. This is simply not true.
Do you really think that our government is so powerless that they couldn't stop ORGANIZED crime if they really wanted to. Sadly, the U.S. government at the highest levels IS ORGANIZED CRIME. Look at the open borders nowadays. We hear excuse after excuse from the Bush Administration why the borders are not being secured, while our children are being sent 10,000 miles away to die "to DEFEND America's freedom." No, the evil Bush gang is stealing Iraq's oil. The truth of the matter is that evil rich families like the Rockefellers used the prohibition years as a platform to gain control of an immoral industry. Beer destroys lives! Why should the non-alcohol drinking citizens in America have to pay for the reckless and irresponsible behavior of many of those who DO drink alcohol? Alcohol-related accidents cost the U.S. economy billions upon billions of dollars every year. Why hasn't congress stepped in to put an end to this evil? I think the following quote says it all...

They bought off Washington, state, and local politicians then, just as they have today. There is NO war on drugs. I've spoken with Air force veterans myself who told me that they saw the "black gold" (heroine) being shipped on helicopters while in the military. I lived in Chicago for most of my life and saw massive corruption in Mayor Richard M. Daley's administration. They ripped off hundreds-of-millions (if not billions) through city contracts. That said, don't even tell me that prohibition led to more crime. The only crime which occurred was the government sponsored underground liquor industry fighting against the rest of the law-abiding public. The gangster era was deliberately used by evil and bought-off politicians to dupe American citizens into accepting the legalization of alcohol. Today, it is the illegal drug market which wreaks the same havoc globally. Many people want to legalize such drugs as heroine and cocaine. I say it should all remain illegal. But the problem is not the drugs themselves, the problem is our CORRUPT politicians in Washington who sponsor crime by aiding and abetting criminals (even terrorists). If illegal drugs were made legal tomorrow, the evil men who control the politicians in power would simply find another black market. People who sincerely believe that the prohibition laws of the 1920's led to crime are ignorant of the evil workings within government. Black markets thrive because of government leaders who help them thrive and enjoy hefty payoffs.

Anti-Saloon League Quitters Become a Novelty
It's bad enough that professed men of God quit and throw in the towel. Now the Anti-Saloon League has a website promoting itself as a cute part of history. How nice! Why is Mother's Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) one of the few organizations providing vital statistics on the dangers of alcohol drinking and consumption? How in the world can the Anti-saloon League still call themselves "Anti-Saloon" and not be doing ANYTHING to shut down saloons? The following link archives the numerous fliers publicly distributed by The Anti-Saloon League during their heyday. Why aren't these fliers being promoted today? Instead, they're buried away in obscurity where no one will ever be offended by them. These fliers ought to be in our daily newspapers, on public buses and trains, and in children's school textbooks...

QUITTERS! And then they mock the hundreds-of-thousands of innocent victims of alcohol by turning the organization into a novelty. Oh how cute. The average person today laughs in scorn at the fliers once taken very seriously by Anti-Saloon League members, until it's their child by extracted with the Jaws-of-Life from an automobile. And by the way, it happens hundreds of times every day worldwide. Alcoholism isn't a disease, it's a wicked sin (1st Corinthians 6:10).
Look, there's a lot of people out there who are very angry at the liquor industry for good reasons. I stood over the bodies of a mother and her baby who were killed by a drunk driver in a car crash. It was NO accident, the drunk man murdered that mama and her child. I still can remember seeing that tiny coffin next to the full-size coffin. I remember seeing the father crying out in uncontrollable tears and sorrow. You know what I think should become a law. I think ever murdering drunk driver should be forced to attend the funeral and burial of his victims. With a police escort of course, just in case the family decides to give him what he deserves...the death penalty! Let him see that first spadefull of dirt tossed down onto the white casket. It's something that you never forget, especially if it's your loved one. So go ahead Anti-Saloon League, make big of your history, boast of your organizations efforts from a century ago, but let it be known that you are a bunch of quitters in the eyes of God and every godly Christian in America.
America doesn't need any novelty organizations, we need citizens to fight for what is right. Alcohol is a curse upon America! Though we may never be able to shut down many saloons, Jesus will one day shut them ALL down. Though we may not be able to convince many people to stop drinking alcohol, we are still commanded by God to stand against the evildoers and workers of iniquity (Psalm 94:16). I want the world to know where I stand and I will do everything in my power to expose the evils of beer, and every other alcoholic beverage sold today. Beer is straight from Hell. You may not agree with me today, but YOU WILL when the mangled body of your little 10 year old son is lying in the street with a 3,000 LB. vehicle on top of him, as you stand helpless, screaming out in desperation, crying in disbelief, blood everywhere, and a drunken fool doesn't even realize what he has just done. Do you think the beer $#%*@ will be there for you at Christmas time to fill that empty place under the tree? No, they will not. Wake up!
