To Love is To Hate Also

! PART 1 Gen. James Green I THINK “LOVE” in this generation is grossly misunderstood (from a Biblical point of view)—I mean with the intrusion of “Political Correctness,” words have been twisted and perverted, therefore actions (or the lack of them) have become abysmally twisted and perverted. In my line of work for the Lord, teaching and preaching—from the Bible—today has come under attack from those who are influenced by the devil of Politically Correct-ism. Sadly today, church after church, denomination after denomination, and organization after organization is falling under the SPELL of “Gay is OK” stuff. As a true minister of Jesus Christ, we are to HATE SIN(S) in all forms, using God’s Word as a sharp sword, separating and dividing what is true from what is impure. Paul (the apostle) penned: “If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the Words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained” (1 Tim. 4:6). “But We Haven’t Fallen!” LET IT BE said that homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, transgenderism, and pedophilia etc. are SINS in God’s sight; so is fornication and adultery among the “straights.” Adultery, as with ALL sex-sins, must be FORSAKEN by every one who claims to be “Christian.” NO excuses. NONE!! Now the Babylonian church (Churchianity) has created a new way by allowing the “saints” to act like “devils.” And to point this out is considered—by them—to be hateful. They claim we’re not showing “love,” but “hate.” Poor deceived Hell-bound sinners! Look, both Testaments proclaim sex-sins to be SIN. The Holiness Code (for clean living) declares homosexuality an ABOMINATION: “Thou shalt NOT lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is ABOMINATION” (Lev. 18:22). Leviticus 20:13 has the DEATH penalty attached to it for same-sex sex (male with male; and the same goes for male with female adultery in 20:10). This ought to convince any believer that the LORD was and is not pleased with these sex sins. Zooming up to 1 Cor. 6:9 and 10 we read: “Know ye not that the UNRIGHTEOUS shall NOT inherit the Kingdom of God? Be NOT DECEIVED: neither fornicators…idolaters…adulterers… effeminate (or)…abusers of themselves with mankind...shall inherit the Kingdom of God.” We cannot change what is written. Sex-sins will keep us out of Heaven FOREVER! The King James Bible uses “effeminate,” which in the Greek (malakoi, or G3120) means: “the soft ones” e.g., males who play the sexual role of females; another Greek words is arsenokoitai, which literally means “male bedders,” or males who take other males to bed. In Robin Scrogg’s “The New Testament and Homosexuality” (1983), Scroggs translates malakoi as “effeminate call-boys,” which is not correct (but politically correct—because it makes the “sin” only pertaining to a man with a boy, rather than the condemnation of homosexuality itself; all homosexuality is SIN!!). Dale Martin’s “Biblical Ethics and Homosexuality” expresses malakoi as “effeminate” (KJV). He points out that the feminine traits are inferior (misogynist), so interpreters must abandon an appeal to what God’s Word says. I have found, by researching scholars/authors who hold to a revised view of the Bible’s position, that they seek to undermine its authority (of course this is Politically Correct-ism at work!). In Greek literature, this word has a broad range of meanings, BUT, here in 1 Cor. 6:9, Paul (who knew Greek culture pretty good) places this SIN/VICE alongside a list of offences that lead to EXCLUSION from God’s Kingdom. One author writes: “This suggests he (Paul) refers to an offence more serious than simply a ‘limp wrist.’” In 1 Cor. 6:9, malakoi is sandwiched in-between “adulterers” and arsenokoitai—both immoral and sinful sexual intercourse. In 1 Tim. 1:10 we find a list: “...whoremongers, them that defile themselves with mankind, (same as 1 Cor. 6:9) …contrary to sound doctrine” (remember 1 Tim. 4:1?). Confirmation THE OCCURRENCE of arsenokoitai and malakoi in the vice list in 1 Cor. 6:9, and of arsenokoitai in the vice list in 1 Tim. 1:10, CONFIRMS the reading we find in Romans 1:24-27 (which condemns both males and female sex perverts). One Bible scholar aptly says: “Neither term can be widened in meaning to include heterosexuals or narrowed in meaning to exclude certain non-exploitative forms of homo intercourse.” He was referring to our two Greek words. Both 1 Cor. 6:9 and 1 Tim. 1:10 together clearly indicate that the term arsenokoitai has inter-textual connections to the Levitical prohibitions of same-sex sex. Also, the exclusive endorsement of male with female hetero marriage in Genesis one and two (see also the Decalogue/10 Commandments where male with female adultery is forbidden), and, of course, in the Deut. expulsion texts, i.e., Deut. 23:17, 18 where: “There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite (homo) of the sons of Israel. Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore or the price of a dog (male homosexual=Rev. 22:15), into the house of the LORD thy God for my vow: for even both these are ABOMINATION unto the LORD thy God.” You see, the Bible is NOT Politically Correct!! It calls sin “SIN,” and sinners “SINNERS:” Heaven OR Hell. So, why are they preaching this Politically Correct crap in churches today? REBELLION! Woe Unto Them! ISAIAH 5:20 plainly tells us this: “Woe unto them that call EVIL good, and GOOD evil; that put DARKNESS for light, and LIGHT for darkness; that put BITTER for sweet, and SWEET for bitter.” This exactly pin-points the problem we now face in Church la-la land. We get these letters from the “love department”—those sex-perverts who have not turned from sin unto Christ, and those also who (supposedly!) have become “Christian.” What we find is that 95 percent of the letters tell us that we here at ACMTC, and we the Generals in particular, are: loveless, hateful, bigoted, biased, bitter, blah, blah, and blah. They denounce our stand on this subject (GLBTQ PC-ism) as outdated and UnBiblical. Well, I have previously, and will continue to challenge any and all to prove me/us wrong Biblically. We’ve been waiting for years now—no challenges yet! While they fling the “hate” word at us, their letters reek of such. Where is their love? If we are Biblically wrong, why don’t they ever offer Scriptures to prove us wrong? The BEST they can offer is that we are “hate-filled”...as if they are full of God’s love! To “love” is also to “hate.” Some ask: “What?” Yes, that’s right. Why not do a Bible study on this? I have. The famous Eccl. chapter (3) of positives and negatives mentions: “A time to love, and a time to hate” (3:8). Jeremiah 44:4 mentions this: “…I sent unto you all My servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, ‘Oh, do not this abominable thing that I HATE (idolatry)’” (v. 3). Do you not think homosexuality/lesbianism is not idolatry? Sure they are. They literally WORSHIP the (perverted) way they have sex!. “Hated”—Greek Miseo HEB. 1:9: “Thou hast LOVED righteousness, and HATED iniquity; therefore God…hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness…” Let’s stop and ponder this text about Jesus. μισέω (G3404, miseo, mis-eh-o) means hated. The normal way people interpret “hate” is to say “love less.” But does Jesus really “love” iniquity “less” than righteousness? [The answer is NO, because Jesus does not “love” iniquity AT ALL.] “HATE, HATEFUL, HATER, HATRED A. Verb MISEO (μισέω), to hate, is used especially of: (a) malicious and unjustifiable feelings towards others, whether towards the innocent or by mutual animosity, e.g., Matt. 10:22; 24:10; Luke 6:22, 27; 19:14; John 3:20, of hating the light (metaphorically); 7:7; 15:18,19, 23-25; Ti. 3:3; John 2:9, 11; 3:13, 15; 4:20; Rev. 18:2, where “hateful” translates the perfect participle Passive Voice of the verb. lit., ‘hated’ or ‘having been hated;’ (b) of a right feeling of aversion from what is evil; said of wrong doing, Rom. 7:15; iniquity, Heb. 1:9; “the garment (figurative) spotted by the flesh,” Jude 23; “the works of the Nicolaitans,” Rev. 2:6 (and ver. 15, in some mss.; see the A.V.); (c) of relative preference for one thing over another, by way of expressing either aversion from, or disregard for, the claims of one person or thing relatively to those of another, Matt. 6:24, and Luke 16:13, as to the impossibility of serving two “masters;” Luke 14:26, as to the claims of parents relatively to those of Christ; John 12:25, of disregard for one’s life relatively to the claims of Christ; Eph. 5:29, negatively, of one’s flesh, i.e. of one’s own, and therefore a man’s wife as one with him. Note: In 1 John 3:15, he who hates his brother is called a murderer; for the sin lies in the inward disposition, of which the act is only the outward expression. B. Adjective. STUGETOS (στυγητόϛ,), hateful (from stugeo, to hate, not found in the New Testament), is used in Ti. 3:3. C. Nouns 1. ECHTHRA (ἔχθρα), hatred: see ENMITY. 2. THEOSTUGES (θεοστυγήϛ), from theos, God, and stugeo (see B), is used in Rom. 1:30, A.V., and R.V. marg., “haters of God,” R.V., “hateful to God;” the former rendering is appropriate to what is expressed by the next words, “insolent,” “haughty,” but the R.V. text seems to give the true meaning. Lightfoot quotes from the Epistle of Clement of Rome, in confirmation of this, “those who practice these things are hateful to God.” Since God hated homosexual acts so much that He placed a DEATH penalty upon them, it is sheer foolishness to think that God “loves less” over God “hates” both the sin and the sinner. We can’t water this down. True, there are verses where the “love less” comes into play, but not here. The Heart of the Matter IT IS NOT enough for the believer to “love righteousness;” he/she MUST also “hate evil.” When a sodomite repents and becomes a Christian, his/her allegiance/loyalty must change; what they loved/hated beforehand should be affected, if not, something is wrong. One can’t say “I’m Christian” and “I’m a homo/lesbian etc.” Or, one who was a sex offender beforehand, repented, got saved, yet still protects those sins—something is wrong with his/her salvation. It says of Jesus (who never sinned!) that He loved righteousness, and also hated iniquity! Isaiah 11:5: “And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.” This was referring to Christ— “a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of His roots” (11:1). Jesus’ HATRED of iniquity—in His life and ministry (see Jn. 3:19; 11:33), can be seen in the example of John 11:33. One needs to read the text in Greek, where this passage reveals the heart and feeling of Jesus as He faces the heartbreak/suffering caused by “evil” in the world. The Greek verb “groaned,” embrimaomai denotes profound emotion involving ANGER! That’s right, it signifies that Christ was moved to deep grief and anger by all the misery resulting from sin. Ever saw an AIDS victim die? I get angry at both the victim—for giving his/her life to perversion, and get angry at the cruelty of the disease. Jesus felt both compassion and anger. So, why are we not to feel the same? It is HATE to allow perverts to kill themselves (suicide) without warning them. Suffering and death has been passed upon the WHOLE human race by SIN! (Rom. 5:12); both spiritual death and natural death. TO TRY AND SAVE THE SINNERS FROM SPIRITUAL DEATH—SEPARATION FROM GOD’S LIGHT AND LIFE ETERNALLY—IS NOT HATE, BUT LOVE. So, We press on. The ones that call us “hateful” are blind to Biblical truth. As we work to bring the LOST into a living, loving, and saving relationship with Christ, we too feel both a compassion for the lost/suffering and a hatred for sin that is killing both body and soul. A true man/woman of God will not, can not experience pleasure in sin, or protect sin. To Call Sin, Sin! THIS IS A NO, no today!...and the reprobate Church actually works against Christ, not for Him. Jesus would never have been “anointed” (Heb. 1:9) if He was a “hatemonger.” Therefore, our “anointing” comes only as we identify with both the Father and the Son. Ps. 45:7 again tells us: “Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness…” So, dear Christians, we’re to love those whose lives are being destroyed by sin (of any kind). This is what John 3:16 is all about! But we can’t really do this unless we love righteousness (see also Prov. 8:13; Ps. 94:16; 97:10; Amos 5:15; Rom. 12:9; 1 Jn. 2:15 and Rev. 2:6—do your homework!). Love/Hate THESE ARE the strongest words that could possibly be used—antithesis. To “love” righteousness is the fulfillment of the fourth beatitude: to be WHOLLY and COMPLETELY at one with it, and to be DEVOTED to it without any reservation. Therefore, let us strive to be Biblically Correct, not Politically Correct, which is rooted and grounded in humanity (in their fallen state). All this BULL of “Oasis of love”—while accepting practicing sex offenders, is a BIG FRAUD in this generation. It smells of the devil, and it is of the devil!; hating evil (of any kind) is Biblical. This sturdy faith alone CAN restore moral backbone to any moral-less generation. Gayness? HA! WE PRAY for them all the time (at our prayer booth in Gallup, N.M.)...and we don’t find “gayness,” but “sadness.” Very few try to tell us about their gayness in sexual perversions. Even in their “gay” laughter, there is emptiness...a sorrow that betrays their smiles. Many have broken down and cried, pouring out their miseries, their unhappiness, and their rejections. But God accepts them IF they repent and turn (and stay TURNED) from their perversions. To accept practicing “gays” into a church, any church, is unChristian. Loved Me/Hates Me THE HARPIST Habrotonon says: “It seemed as though he loved me, but he hates me with a divine hatred” (μισέω). (See C. Robert, Szenen aus Menonders Komodien (1903, 231). Is there a “divine hatred”? I think so. Actually, if one reads a lot (which I do), one will find the words hate/hatred/hating etc. in lots of literature—both hate and love. The Bible (mainly Old Testament) speaks much about God “loving” his people—when they were right with Him—enough to destroy their enemies, hence, LOVE AND HATE (see Ps. 18:40; 21:9). There are verses where the wicked hate the righteous (Ps. 34:21; 36:2, 3; 86:17; Prov. 29:10), though without a cause (Ps. 35:19; 69:4). “Evil shall slay the wicked, they that hate the righteous shall suffer for it” (Ps. 34:21). Israel’s foes were also God’s foes (Num. 10:35; Deut. 7:15; 30:7; 33:11; Ps. 89:23; 105:25; 129:5 etc.). GOD Hates! GOD ACTUALLY hates alien worship (Deut. 12:31; 16:22; Jer. 44:4; Ezek. 23:38. The Old Testament prophets put the cultus without heart obedience on the same level as idolatry. Amos 5:21; Hosea 9:15; Isa. 1:14; 61:8; Zech. 8:17 and Mal. 2:13 show us that God hates false worship. Do you really think God enjoys or accepts all this Rock N Roll/Rap crap church worship? Do you really think He accepts worship that is led by a sodomite, an adulterer, or etc.? God, believe it or not, is hostile both to the sinner and his/her sin. Judith 5:17 is a fixed phrase with a formal ring: “And there was no one that triumphed over this people, but when they departed from the worship of the Lord their God.” In other words, no enemy prevailed against Israel UNTIL they stopped worshiping the True God. Verse 18 is telling: “But as often as beside their own God, they worshiped any other, they were given to spoil, and to the sword, and to reproach.” Both the Catholic and non-Catholic Bible teaches that God hates pride and hates the prideful (see Sir. 10:7; 12:6; 27:24 LXX. So, His hate implies aversion and hostility to both sin and the sinner—judgment and retribution is in order! God and the Righteous AS GOD HATES evil/iniquity, so do the righteous. I said the righteous, not the religious. All this “religious” bull pushing itself off as God’s “love” is a charade. This is the kind of bull that these PC Churchites push.Ps. 97:10 says: “Ye that love the LORD, hate evil…” (see also Jesus Sirach [Sir.] 17:26). Distinctive of Biblical thinking is that this “hatred” is regarded as natural, not odd (see Ex. 18:21; Job 34:17; Amos 5:15; Isa. 33:15; Ps. 97:10; 119:104, 128, 163; Prov. 8:13; 13:5; 28:16; Sir. 17:26; 19:6; 25:2; 27:24 LXX). Scholars of the Old Testament say that when the righteous of the old covenant hate evil, this is not primarily an emotion—it is a passionate exercise of faith directed against evil. This puts the righteous on God’s side, not on Satan’s side (as we see today). The war between “evil” as a power, and the “evil person” is one-in-the-same. The ungodly love evil and hate the good (see Micah 3:2). What is meant is not so much an emotion as a rejection in will and deed. Hating good is intrinsic in humans. THE HOLY SPIRIT IN US HELPS TO “LOVE” AND ALSO “HATE.”
