TRUE PROPHETS, GOD SHAPES EVIL "IF" CLAUSE CONT., THE GLOBAL APPARATUS Aggressive Christianity — PART #1 — Just this month (Oct. 2015) Law Enforcement officials asked us about the meaning of “Aggressive Christianity.” The following was and is our reply: When my wife and I (and our two small children) came up from Venezuela, South America, in 1979 (after we had been on a long missions journey, from Mexico all the way to Venezuela), we landed in Miami, FL. It was there that we were asked to be Christian workers at the Salvation Army. We accepted. During our stay (1979-81), we began studying up on the Salvation Army’s beginnings in the U.K. One book we found was filled with the teachings of General Catherine Booth, wife of General William Booth (formerly a Primitive Methodist preacher, but later the Commander-in-Chief of the Salvation Army in the 1870's). The book was titled “Aggressive Christianity” and was published in 1883. Actually, it was a compilation of General Catherine’s sermons, compiled by Dr. Daniel Steele, D.D. Aggressive Christianity Book.jpg After reading her first published article (called “Aggressive Christianity”), we were struck by the difference between the old Salvation Army and the new one. The new was totally involved in the State (here in America); therefore, not-so ON-FIRE! As God would have it, when we moved back to California in 1981, we started living, preaching and teaching the “Aggressive” message. Let me state here that “AGGRESSIVE CHRISTIANITY” DID NOT AND DOES NOT INVOLVE VIOLENCE OR THE USE OF PHYSICAL WEAPONS (see Paul’s explanation in 2 Corinthians 10:3-6, where he targets the enemies of Christ and Christians; see also Ephesians 6:12). Eventually we went by the name “Free Love Ministries” (like “God’s Love is FREE!”) and we were a 501c3 organization under that name. “Aggressive Christianity” or “ACMTC” (“Aggressive Christianity Missions Training Corps”) was our WAY OF LIFE: Jesus wanted and wants ALL CHRISTIANS to live aggressively for Christ and aggressively against sin. God raised us up as a corps of believers, to train for missions — to “Take Jesus Around the World!” “Free Love Ministries” dissolved in 1988. But our WAY OF LIFE never dissolved. We continued as “Aggressive Christians,” even to this day, living the “AGGRESSIVE CHRISTIAN MESSAGE.” ACMTC is not a 501c3 organization — never has been, never will be. “Aggressive Christianity” is a name, a way of life. ——— PART #2 ——— General Booth’s Words Allow me to quote a line or two from her sermon wherein she pointed out carnal, worldly, sinful bondages that made “Christians” ineffective in their warfare: “I have been reading of late the New Testament with special reference to the AGGRESSIVE SPIRIT of Primitive Christianity... (p. 24). It seems to me that we want more of this determined, AGGRESSIVE SPIRIT. Those of you who are right with God — you want more of this spirit to thrust the truth upon the attention of your fellowmen (p. 28). This is what Christianity ought to be doing in this land, and there are plenty of Christians to do it (p. 28). Such AGGRESSIVE, determined warfare as this WILL RAISE ALL EARTH AND HELL AGAINST YOU (p. 31).” ——— Hey, just ask US about that profound statement ... we’ll tell you a thing or two what will happen when one, anyone, gets AGGRESSIVE for Truth!! ————— “Opposition! It is a bad sign for Christianity of this day that it provokes so little opposition (p. 32). When the Church and the world can jog along comfortably together, you may be sure there is something WRONG (p. 32). Jesus Christ set Paul (the Apostle) to do this, and Paul did it. He says, ‘Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men’ (p. 42). Put away whatever has stood between you and Jesus. Trample it underfoot and press through the crowd of difficulties ...” (p. 50). It is time for WARFARE, NOT WELFARE. What are you waiting for?? PART #3 SALVATION ARMY BORN! On page 102 of “Trumpet of Salvation” (the story of William and Catherine Booth, written by Norman E. Nygaard, 1961), the headline reads: “The Christian Mission Is A Salvation Army.” “A Salvation Army! [Booth] liked the ring of the words. A SALVATION ARMY! Why shouldn’t dedicated people form an army for the Lord? True, there shouldn’t be any salutes by which rank was indicated and acknowledged. There shouldn’t be any court-martial for soldiers who fail to carry out orders. But there should be uniforms...” ------------------------- People over the years have asked us about this “army stuff,” as if the Bible (N.T.) is silent about it. Search out those verses that tell us “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good SOLDIER of Jesus Christ” (2 Tim. 2:3). Again, w e see it in 1 Tim. 6:12 — “FIGHT the good FIGHT of faith...” (The Greek word “fight” is “AGONIZE.”) Read 1 Tim. 1:18, too — “....WAR a good WARFARE.” Of course, a SOLDIER needs a weapon and armor (see Eph. 6:10-18 on spiritual warfare). For in-depth studies on this vital militant subject, see our many AGGRESSIVE booklets and magazines. ------------------------- Nygaard also points out on page 115 that “...various organizations used the designation ‘Army,’ and songs which were similar to those which the Salvationists had incorporated in their book were sung at their meetings, and they adopted the exuberant type of preaching characteristic of the Salvation Army.” WAR CRY The WAR CRY was and still is the Salvation Army’s magazine. We respect the Salvation Army, but at the same time we are sad that it has become so “social” that souls aren’t reaped enough. We only wish that the WAR CRY was MORE MILITANT AND AGGRESSIVE against the “forces of darkness,” and less “social.” Aggressive Spirit of Christianity -----Part 4----- “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father” (Gal. 4:4-6). B EFORE CHRIST literally GAVE His sinless life on the Cross, for mankind’s sins, He was raised in the Jewish state, a conquered people by the Romans. They were being punished by God for their sins of rebellion, disobedience, idolatry/spiritual adultery etc. The ONE thing they all had in common was their Messianic hope, which was kept alive by the reading of the Torah and the Targums (the Talmud reflected the Hebrew civil and canonical thinkings of the rabbis). Therefore, obedience to “the Law” was culturally important. But, as we read the Gospels, we see that Jesus distinguished between the “outward” and the “inward” (see Matt. 23:24-31; note vv. 27, 28: “…hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful OUTWARD but are WITHIN full of dead men’s bones, and of ALL UNCLEANNESS. Even so ye also OUTWARDLY appear righteous unto men but WITHIN ye are FULL of hypocrisy and iniquity”). So, when Jesus the Christ began His ministry—unto the Jews—into this world of culture and cruelty, wealth and waste, military might (Rome), and lost souls, then came Christianity. It was, as Gal. 4:4 states: “the fulness of the time”…it was time for REPENTANCE REVOLUTION (the Baptist cried out: “REPENT” [Mt. 3:2]; Jesus cried out: “REPENT” [Mt. 4:17]). You see, Jesus looked beyond the “outward,” He looked upon the heart. Israel as a nation was in bondage: 1. to Rome 2. to hypocrisy/iniquity. American Christians love to say that Christianity is the New Israel, and I also believe this. However, dear readers, America has become like ancient Israel…REPENTANCE is NEEDED but not HEEDED! I believe that “Christianity,” which has grown into “Churchianity,” is worse than ancient Israel! Is not churchianity murdering the TRUTH on a daily basis? The early Ekklesia was willing to DIE for the Gospel of Christ. The believers lived sacrificial lives—unlike the pampered churchites we find attending these man-made churches that cover this land—from sea to shining sea! Where has the “Aggressive Spirit” that the early believers had, gone? It has been replaced (with a little help from Satan!) with an “anemic spirit” of passivity. But the Spirit of God’s Son was sent into the hearts of the early disciples/soldiers…that Spirit’s cry was “Abba Father.” Just what does that mean? Abba Father ONE OF the Holy Spirit’s tasks is to create in the believer a feeling (and fact) of sonship and filial love that causes him/her to KNOW God as his/her Father. The Pharisees, Sadducees, and Scribes (also the priesthood) of Jesus’ day thought that they KNEW God as “Father.” Most Israelites also believed that God was their “Father.” But Jesus dispels that myth by saying: “Ye are of your father the devil!” (Jn. 8:44). The Jews of Jesus’ day were so deceived as to their real condition that they told Jesus: “We be Abrahams’ seed, and were never in bondage to ANY MAN.” The truth was that they were in bondage/slavery to Rome!! Lying is specifically mentioned as a characteristic of the devil. The Jews were in a complete state of DENIAL of their true condition. Hello American “Christians!!!” The “religious” Jews were so deceived that they said that Jesus had a devil (8:48, 52). Be warned! if anyone even tries to point out the iniquity and hypocrisy of today’s church, get ready for trouble (8:59). Just what does the phrase “Abba, Father” mean? That term “Abba” is Aramaic, meaning “O Father.” It was the Word the Son used. The combining of the Aramaic “Abba,” with the Greek term for Father (pater, Strong’s G3962) expresses the depth of intimacy, deep emotion, earnestness, and confidence by which the Holy Spirit (or Ghost) causes us to cry out to God (see Mk. 14:36; Rom. 8:15, 26, 27). One of Jesus’ cries was: “...not My will, but thine (Father’s) be done”—This is MISSING in today’s church…“not His will, but our will” is today’s cry. Earnestness IN THE BOOK (or epistle) of Jude, we find the word “earnestly”: “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1:3). When one is under the command of the Holy Spirit, the Lord Jesus Christ, and God the Father, it is not difficult to “earnestly contend” for the (Biblical) Christian faith. That “Spirit”—that “Aggressive Spirit,” will cry out against false teachers (as did Jesus, who was full of the Holy Spirit [see Lk. 4:1, 14]), false leaders etc. FIGHT!! CONTEND!! DO BATTLE!! This is part of the “Aggressive Spirit;” the other half are the aspects of love, submission, humility etc. Only believers who are “in Christ” can answer the summons to “contend for the faith.” The faithless churchites are content playing soldier, but know not their commander, nor about spirit warfare. Pitiful indeed! It would be good if you church folks read the book of Jude. Do we not see all this in today’s churches? Indeed! Jude’s reason for writing was to warn about false teachers—which use chicanery and all manner of tricks to deceive. They are moral and immoral, yet all pose as “Christian.” They love eisegesis and hate exegesis. Their flagitious manner is not even questioned today. Their obdurate teachings are just accepted as “truth.” This demonic “spirit” (atrophy) causes the body of Christ to WASTE AWAY (like spiritual AIDS). Their penurious way—the way of avarice, has literally bankrupted the church spiritually. The “Aggressive Spirit” was abandoned years and years ago. I think the church still believes itself to be militant, but it boils down to this alter-ego…raison d’etre! (nom de plume). The Solution? REVOLUTION! All this hyper-revival stuff is all palliative—relieves without curing. We need to get to the CAUSE and stop dealing with the EFFECT. The cause is spirit-rot. Repentance will cure it—if applied long enough. Mere perfunctory attempts will never cure this ROT. But the problem is sound asleep-stertorous-caught up in wet-dreams—one after another. How can one act on volition when asleep? The solution to the pollution is of course “REPENTANCE REVOLUTION”—AND AGGRESSIVE, MILITANT OFFENCE AGAINST THE DEMONS that hold the church in bondage; an Aggressive, militant defence of the Christian faith (Jude 3). The “demons in human bodies” that have crept into the Ekklesias cause spiritual bankruptcy...these demons carry deadly diseases: “spots in your feasts of love” Jude called them. Spots can turn into cancers that eat up the body. Look around folks…do you not see a SICK/DISEASED body of Christ? You tell me. No Discharge in War! PART 5 Eccl. 8:8: “…there is no discharge in war…” *Discharge (Heb. mishlahath): “a mission, release, an army, dismissal.” O UR TEXT speaks of powers that defy man to restrain them. The first of these to be mentioned is the ruah, the “spirit” of man or, as some prefer, “the wind” (see Jn. 3:8). Then there is “death,” which on the appointed day claims its victims. There is also “war,” which in the area of its raging engulfs and carries all away, and from which there is no mishlahath (discharge or getting off). Taking this into the New Testament way of thinking, there is no discharge in the service of our king. Just where has this silly idea come from—that one puts in some years of service and then RETIRES?...If a minister…with pay! Second Timothy 2:3 tells us to “endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” I read nothing about RETIREMENT. I thought, and the Word of God confirms it, loyalty was and is steadfast. The very word “hardness” (Gk. kakopatheo) means: “undergo hardships, be afflicted, endure the same, suffer trouble etc.,” in other words there are engagements in life from which there is no discharge. Aggressive or Passive? THERE ARE times in our Christian service that both are used. But, unlike the modern, backslidden church, we cannot represent a “pacifism” that maintains there will be NO MORE WAR from now on (after one has engaged in a few battles!). Some point out Matt. 5:9 to us: “Blessed are the peacemakers!” Peacemakers are those who have been reconciled to God—they have PEACE with Him thru the Cross of Christ (Rom. 5:1; Eph. 2:14-16). When we were sinners, without Christ, we were, by nature, ENEMIES of God. The Cross settled this for us…we, who accepted Christ into our lives, became friends. We now fight the forces of Hell to bring others into “peace” with God. So, the WAR is on! Nowhere in the New Testament are we ever instructed to STOP warring, witnessing, or walking in the Lord. Nowhere does Jesus say a single word to support pacifism for the sake of unity, political correctness, for the sake of its usefulness, or its benefits. In Him we find the deepest reason for fighting the good fight of faith (1 Tim. 6:12). Look at verse 14 please: “That thou keep this COMMANDMENT without spot, unrebukable, UNTIL the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Paul was instructing Timothy to FLEE, not from the battle/war, but to flee from the love of money (vv. 6-10); to “FIGHT the good fight of faith” (v. 12); to keep himself clean, in the fear till Christ appears. The “war spirit” is MISSING in today’s church. The churches that cover this land are full of wimps, whores, and whoremongers. It’s true! It is time—PAST TIME! for those calling themselves “Christian” to allow Christ to RULE in their midst. We wonder why the spirits of barbarity and bloodshed have reached atrocious proportions. Well, if Christians had not RETIRED from the battlefields of this world, much of what we see and hear would be absent. If we, who are called by His name, do not fling ourselves against the waves of violence that are sweeping humanity out to sea, many will perish without a hope. TURN THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN! ----PART 6---- T he “AGGRESSIVE SPIRIT” will do this!—“turn the world upside down” (Acts 17:6). The early disciples of Christ were ON FIRE FOR CHRIST!! They were men and women who weren’t ashamed to “stand up” for the Lord Jesus; they were not ashamed to “contend” for the Holy Faith (not like most who only “pretend”); they were not ashamed to “defend” the Holy Faith; they were men and women who were deeply associated with the “sword that cuts and the fire that burns!!” When the apostle Paul passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, both cities on the great Roman Road, the Via Egnatia, Paul came to Thessalonica. Here he preached to the Jews...he explained the cross—the central focus of the Christian faith (v. 3). This had two effects: 1. many Jews and Greeks believed (v. 4); 2. many did not believe, thus, it started an uproar (v. 5). Paul actually started a mini religious war. The gospel will do this at times. Sadly, the true gospel is not being preached here in America—hence no revolution, no war...only good performances /entertainments. HURRAH! Three Things Happened FIRST, the envious Jews (v. 5) recognized the POWER of the gospel of Christ: “These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also” (v. 6). Paul was in the direct succession of the Old Testament prophets (John the Baptist and Jesus the Christ of the New Testament). These godly prophets (and Christ) had always been “troublers of Israel.” Their function was (and is) to make those in authority UNEASY!! But what do we behold today? Oh, these Sissy-La-Las have no fire or power. Too much depends upon satisfied customers (like fame and fortune). Money, LOTS of money, and LOTS of praise is not raised from Churchites who are “preached at,” thus, extremely uncomfortable; Sooth, but never upset! In our 12 Revolutionary Way booklets, I explain the difference between the “righteous” and the “religious.” Jesus was and is the REVOLUTIONARY: He was both meek and militant, passive and aggressive, but never backslid! Jesus had a profound love for the lost, but was repulsed by the “religious” (see Mt. 23). UPSET/ UPSIDE DOWN SOME THINK that Jesus died on the cruel Cross in order to make them rich! Listen to these televangelists (male/female) of today—it’s all about: you, us, we, my, and mine...not about Jesus...as if the world can’t live without US! Men/women in their generation have become their OWN GOD! Hubris! Iconoclastic! The second thing that we notice is that: “…these all do CONTRARY to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus” (v. 7). Terrible! Just terrible! The backslid Jews would have the PAGAN Caesar rule over them, not Jesus their Messiah! Take this forward to 2015, are the backslid “Christians” any different? No! Today’s churches are just in LOVE with the pagan government’s 501c3 tax status. But God’s Word warns us about this UNHOLY UNION (see 2 Cor. 6:14-17—the ultimate division of people before God is between the “believers” and “non-believers,” therefore, we must not be in voluntary partnership or in intimate association with unbelievers (sometimes this can’t be helped, but there is a difference between what is thrown upon us, and what we personally invite). The third thing we note (Acts 17:8) is that these wicked Jews troubled the people and the rulers of the city (some think that the message of the Cross, preached by Paul, was what troubled the city. I think both are the case. Persecutors always strive to affect the lives of the objects of their hatred by accusing them of sedition, or plots against the state [we’ve been there]). The apostles did proclaim Jesus as the KING, but never once insinuated that His Kingdom was of this world; neither did Jesus Himself. Does your preaching (if you do any) trouble the sinners? Will you stand for Christ cause trouble in the land? Well, look at the average american preacher—couldn’t knock a flea off a dog’s back! Pitiful. The Primitive Ekklesia had the “aggressive spirit,” therefore they UPSET the world and the religionists. While most Jews of Paul’s day (even in Jesus’ day) were pretty sure they were Heaven-bound, in reality, they were Hell-bound! John’s and Jesus’ preaching... UPSET the scribes and Pharisees, the priests, the elders; UPSET their lethargic complacency; UPSET the status quo; UPSET their conscience; UPSET their prejudiced minds; UPSET their moral indifference; and UPSET their religiously smug self- satisfactions. Tell me, do you think there are these things in today’s churches? Just as Jesus OVER TURNED things in the Temple area (Mt. 21:12-13), calling the people THIEVES (v. 13), the “aggressive spirit” will likewise cause some shaking. If our Preaching does not shake things up, we’re not where we should be in Christ. This “love, love, love” stuff we’ve have today is a counterfeit; true Biblical love points out sin, denounces it, and sets the sinners free. All this show-off stuff we see on TV is phoney. This stuff: “God is crazy about you…He does not care what you do, or do not do, He loves you the same” (preached by Rev. Joyce Mires (I mean, Meyers). This kind of stuff is full of hypocrisy, greed, self-serving interest, immorality, and irreverence in the name of God/Jesus. God’s true love consists of righteous indignation; the pimp-preachers are of the devil!!! They are so FULL of SELF, that there is NO room for the Spirit of Christ. The thing called “Christian” is a colossal FRAUD. Is it any wonder that the spirit of anti-Christ RULES both church and State? I’m not a bit shocked. False Comforts JOB 21:34 tells us: “How then comfort ye me in vain, seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehoods?” We recall that his three friends insisted that the afflictions which he suffered were sent as a punishment for his sins, and were evidence conclusive that he was a hypocrite, not a true believers. Well, the opposite was true—his trial and suffering was for growth, not for destruction. This very accusation has been hurled at us over the years as the Spirit of God took us into trials and tribulations—for more perfection (maturity). They say (our critics) that we are just too “aggressive,” too “harsh and unloving.” Well, we say, the world (I include most of the church folks in this sphere) needs some tough love at this time. So does the professor of Christ. This “Jesus loves you no matter what you do or do not do” is of the devil. Jesus showed this “spirit” many times. What did He have in mind? REPENTANCE! We can’t pronounce falsehoods upon either saint or sinner. We can’t condemn the saint because of their trials/tribulations; we can’t bless the sinner in his/her sins either. Follow the Spirit. Those of the “religious” spirit offer a panacea for the world’s ills…but hardly ever a rebuke or correction. Souls are sick! They need not “sweet deceit,” but “bitter herbs.” The sword that CUTS and the fire that BURNS is the perfect medicine for today’s sickos. We do not need to comfort sinners in their sins, we need to show compassion by giving them the remedy: REPENTANCE! Our primary objective should be to induce the sinner to OBEY the Lord, not merely to relieve his/her distress. Constitutional sympathy or religious compassion may have some effect, but calling the sinner to repentance is Gospel. Sinners need to be SAVED, not merely comforted. The church needs to stop playing psych and present the physician Jesus Christ the Lord. Jesus said: “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick” (Mt. 9:12). Jesus explains what He meant by saying: “I am not come to call the righteous, but the sinners to repentance.” Not a word about a drug, a pat on the back, a good uplifting word…just REPENTANCE! These modern Doctors of Divinity (D.D.), would do the sinners a real service (and I include “religious” sinners too) to present repentance, not mere religion. Religion is what makes men sick! (I mean the Babylon Jesus kind of religion). False comfort will damn a soul, yet this is what most ministers present as “gospel” today (rooted and grounded in political correctness). Stop telling the sinner that “Jesus loves you,” without repentance. Oh, this damnable doctrine is soooo popular today. They expect Heaven, but will receive Hell. Here we have a sinner in rebellion, Jesus waits with pardon, the minister presents: “God loves you”...NO salvation; no forgiveness. The sinner may feel relieved, and is thankful, but in reality he or she is a relieved/thankful sinner. Sure God loves the sinner (but hates the sins), but we must also ponder this: “God is a righteous judge, Yea, a God who is indignant every day” (Amp., Ps. 7:11). “If a man does not turn and repent, (God) will whet His sword…” (v. 12). Not only this, dear “God loves you” minister, but read this: “The Lord tests and proves the righteous, but His soul ABHORS the wicked and him who loves violence” (Ps. 11:5; read vv. 6, 7 too). So, God loves and hates! Let us ponder these Words. The Aggressive Anointing ---PART 7--- T HE “ANOINTED ONE” (Christ Jesus) will, at times, put the “aggressive anointing” upon His people: “But it is God who confirms and makes us steadfast and establishes us (in joint fellowship) with you in Christ, and has consecrated and anointed us—enduing us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit” (Amp. Bible, 2 Cor. 1:21). Anointing/Anoint (5 Greek verbs and 2 nouns) is a general term used for any kind, whether of the physical or spiritual...sacred and symbolical. Christ was “anointed of God” (Lk. 4:18; Acts 4:27; 10:38, and Heb. 1:9). This anointing allowed Jesus to do miracles, know things, see things etc. Physical oil can also represent metaphorically anointing persons and things; by metonymy, of the Holy Spirit (or Ghost), as in 1 John 2:20, 27. But I want to write about the “aggressive anointing” to preach and teach (with signs, wonders, miracles). There is “Flesh Power,” and there is “Spirit Power.” We know that today’s church operates under the anointing of Flesh Power! This is evident by the LACK of signs, wonders, miracles and the “sword that cuts and the fire that burns.” Men/women burn alright, but their “fire” is “strange” (queer!). If the anointing was of God, we would see more ministers as flames of fire (Heb. 1:7; see also Ps. 104:4). To tell the truth, the truth is not what sets men/women on fire these days—it is LUST, a burning lust for the world. Aggressive Christianity AGGRESSIVE CHRISTIANITY is directed and controlled by the aggressive anointing of the Spirit. Men/women can’t do without is this anointing. As the Bible says, if we do not labor with God, our labors are in vain. The Christian missionary and preacher A.B. Simpson gave a sermon at Nyack (NY) convention (Sept. 10, 1899) in which he said in part: “Let us look a little farther at this great ideal of aggressive Christianity and see how it is essential to the whole system of divine religion: 1. First it is the spirit of the Master. It brought Him to Bethlehem and Calvary, and it governed all his earthly ministry. How touching the picture of one of the first days in His earthly work! The previous Sabbath had been spent in the wonders of His grace and power, and when the next day dawned the multitudes thronged around Him, and Peter came eagerly saying, “All men seek for Thee.” Peter was delighted with the success of his Master’s ministry. He was proud to be around Him and know that He was the centre of every thought and heart. But he could not find his Lord at first, and when he did discover Him He was away in a place of retirement whither He had gone a great while before it was day to wait upon His Father in earnest prayer, and when he found Him the Master was not at all delighted or elated by the crowds, but turning His back upon His sudden popularity He set His face to new fields and answered, “I must go into the next towns that I may preach there also, for therefore came I forth. And He preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee.” Again and again with weary feet and unwearied love the blessed Master traveled over the nine hundred cities of Galilee until all its teeming millions had heard the Gospel from His lips. How beautiful that little verse in the fourth chapter of John, “He must needs go through Samaria.” It was not because the road to Galilee led through Samaria, but it was because a poor, weary soul was there at Jacob’s Well, and all her countrymen in the city of Sychar, outcasts from “the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise,” for whose souls there was no one else to care. How graphic the irony with which His very enemies described His love of souls when they cried in reproach: “This man lieth in wait for sinners and eateth with them.” And when He had traversed all His own land of Israel He reached beyond to Syrophoenicia to the poor, sinful race of Jezebel, to the country of Peraea, and the very malefactor that hung beside Him in His dying agony. His love was always reaching out to regions beyond, and if the spirit of the Master is in us we shall be reaching too. 2. This was the spirit of the Great Commission. For when He went away He left His will in the form of His last commands. And what were these? They may be summed up in three special commissions. First, a commission to the nations as nations in the closing verses of the Gospel of Matthew: “Go ye therefore and disciple all nations.” He sent them out as ambassadors from the King of kings to the kings of this world. He thus repudiated at once the idea of the Gospel being intended for any single nation or race. Certainly not the race of Israel, and just as certainly not the Anglo-Saxon race. The commission was world-wide, and it shall never be fulfilled until every race, tribe and tongue of the human family shall have received the Gospel in such form that its people can understand the message of salvation. It would not suffice if all the sinners in the United States were saved if there was yet a single tribe that had not heard of Christ—the commission would not be fulfilled. We cannot emphasize too much this national phase of the great commission, and until it is obeyed we do not see how we can consistently expect the Master’s coming. Next, there is the individual commission, “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” This sends us man by man to the individuals of the race, and bids us give every human being a chance for his life. Then, finally, there is the last utterance of the commission in its most aggressive form given by the Lord from the slope of Olivet just before His ascension: “Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be witness unto Me”...and now notice the expansive character of the command—“in Jerusalem—and in all Judea—and in Samaria—and unto the uttermost parts of the earth!” So the ever-widening circle extends until it takes in the whole circumference of the world. Short of this, Christian enterprise dare not pause or it will miss the promise of the Holy Ghost and the approval of the Master. 3. This was the spirit of the early Church. They were slow to catch the Master’s thought, but gradually they understood it and fulfilled it. And so it was not long until the Gospel had spread to Samaria, and then Philip was pressed out by the Holy Ghost to meet on yonder desert the heathen prince of darkest Africa and send him back to his own continent a pioneer of the glorious Gospel, and perhaps one of the founders of those mighty churches we afterward find in northern Africa. Then Peter is taken up on the housetop and prepared by a heavenly vision for the wider ministry that awaits him next day in the house of Cornelius the Roman centurion. Next, the church at Antioch is formed with its larger brotherhood and its freer atmosphere of spiritual fellowship and world-wide evangelism. And then Saul is raised up and prepared for his peculiar ministry as the apostle of the Gentiles, and in due time sent forth on his world-wide evangel until he too is able to say, “So that from Jerusalem and round about unto Illyricum I have fully preached the Gospel of Christ. Yea, so have I striven to preach the Gospel not where Christ was named lest I should build on another man’s foundation, but, as it is written, to whom He was not spoken of, they shall see, and they that have not heard shall understand.” The one ambition of his life was to “preach the Gospel in the regions beyond.” And in the passage already quoted in the fifteenth chapter of Romans there is a fine sarcasm in one of his sentences where he tells them that much as he desired to visit them at Rome and enjoy their spiritual fellowship, yet he had not even thought of coming to them until he could say, “I have no more place in these parts.” There was really nothing left to do among the heathen and so he was free to go to Rome, but even in going there it was but incidental to a more distant journey into Spain, and it was partly for the purpose of their helping him in this missionary journey. And so he says, “But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you, whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you, for I trust to see you in my journey or to be brought on my way hitherward by you if first I be somewhat filled with your company.” 4. This is the true spirit of Christian love. It is the native instinct of the heavenborn soul. The supreme law of the universe is love and the essence of love is to think of others and especially of the most needy and helpless ones. “THERE’S ANOTHER MAN,” was the stammering cry of the shipwrecked sailor as they roused him into consciousness and bore him from the raft on which he was floating. His first thought was of the comrade that he had left dying behind him, and so while “there’s another man” in any corner of this dark world who is sinking in the night under his awful load of guilt and with a desperate sense of helplessness, let no man dare to call himself the disciple of Jesus who does not care or presume to answer back to the challenge, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” 5. Aggressive Christianity is the world’s greatest need. Shall I try to make you understand the awful condition of the majority of our fellow beings in heathen lands? Can you take in the idea of a thousand millions without the Gospel? Suppose we were to bring them into this Tabernacle a thousand at a time, three times a day, every day in the week, and every week in the year, and thus have three thousand souls every day hear the story of salvation, how long do you suppose it would take the whole congregation of the Christless world to pass before us and have one sermon preached to them about the love of Jesus? It would take just one thousand years, and in the thousand years there would be thirty generations more just like them left to perish. How many of them have died since this Convention began? A population as vast as Brooklyn, as Philadelphia—A MILLION SOULS PERISHED WITHOUT CHRIST! How many of them will pass away before we meet again at Nyack a year from now? Let me give you the picture of graves. Let us bury them side by side all across the continent and allow one yard for each grave. The row of graves would reach from New York to San Francisco and back again twice over. And all of these have perished without Jesus! Oh, as they pass into His presence in their darkness and sorrow and learn for the first time that He died to save them, what must they think of us, and what must He think of us, if we never feel their need and never make a sacrifice to save them? We gave a hundred thousand soldiers to emancipate this little island of Cuba from oppression. If we should give a hundred thousand missionaries it would mean one missionary for every ten thousand of the human race, and with that army of workers the entire world could be evangelized in ten years. In conclusion, the spirit of aggressiveness is the spirit of our age. The great message of God’s providence to our people today is national expansion. The hand of God and the victories of our brave soldiers have spread our flag over new realms and new races. Let us not forget that these millions are not only our fellow citizens but our fellow sinners too. Shall we be true to the trust that God has so gloriously enlarged? Shall we give them merely the earthly symbol of freedom, or shall we give them the glorious liberty of the children of God and the Magna Charta of the Gospel of Jesus Christ? If the glory of Christ’s cross has transfigured you and me, As he died to make them, holy, let us live and make them free While God is marching on.” Let Us Pray PRAY DEAR BELIEVERS for this Holy Sprit—Aggressive Spirit Anointing. A.B. Simpson, under the power of the Holy Ghost, stated: “The Alliance movement therefore represents spiritual earnestness on the one hand and aggressive activity on the other. These are the two thoughts expressed in our text, somewhat obscurely, perhaps, at first sight, but plainly enough when we look more carefully at the structure and language of the passage. The apostle first speaks of their faith and his own enlargement through fellowship with them, and then of the outcome of all this, leading him forward to new aggressive work in regions where others have never gone, and neglected fields which other have not reached. Let us glance briefly at these two distinctive features of Christian work, and, we trust we may say, without, egotism, of this work. I. A deeper and a larger faith. “Having hope that when your faith is increased we shall be enlarged by you.” The apostle was longing for a deeper and larger faith both on their part and his own. This must ever be the spring of earnest and aggressive work. We cannot give others more than we ourselves have received. The water can rise no higher than the spring. All missionary enterprise must have its source in a deeper spiritual life. Therefore, God has been deepening the life of His people during these waiting days. Therefore, God has been developing a more earnest consecration and a more intense devotedness to Christ in the hearts of His people during these years. It is this that stimulates your generous gifts and your noble sacrifices. It is because you believe in God and in His Word without reserve and have not been afraid to put all the weight of your need and your eternal future upon it and have found in it a satisfying joy; it is because of this that everything else is cheap in comparison and everything else has ceased to hurt. God has given us a Christ that is real, a Comforter that fills the heart, a love that lifts us above ourselves, “a joy that abounds even through deep poverty unto the riches of your liberality,” a whole Gospel for the whole man, spirit, soul and body, and it is only the logical sequence that it should also be for the whole world. II. The result of this is unselfish and aggressive work. No soul can receive this deep, divine and overflowing life and henceforth live unto himself. No church can be baptized into this supernatural life and this Christ spirit and ever again be selfish, contracted or earthbound. It makes the world our parish and irresistibly flows out like water to the deepest place of need.” Let us move out into ALL the world (as commanded in Mt. 18:19, 20)…taking Jesus to the lost, the religious, the needy, whoever needs Him. In verse 18 He said: “…All authority—all power of rule—in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” We, His soldiers can also be under His authority/power to do the work that MUST BE DONE!! Don’t be lazy, get moving. Souls await the Good News—the anointing breaks the (demonic) yoke. — Gen. Jim Time For Change... COMPLETED Those who have been following ACMTC teachings and those who are part of ACMTC know that over the past 2-plus years we have made both economical and physical changes. We simply do not train at a centralized “Headquarters” as we have in times past (since 1981). As you know, there is a contumacious spirit that plagues “Churchianity” and opposes (TRUE) Christianity. Times are hard for the (TRUE) believers of Christ. We all must fight this spirit of contumacy — within our own flesh if it rises up; without us; and even within our communities of (TRUE) believers. The fields of Africa and Asia are still growing and going — but the spirit of Babylon Churchianity is ever contending for souls (for HELL!!), everywhere. This “LOST” generation is preoccupied with “stuff and things,” not occupied with preaching/teaching the Gospel of our RISEN LORD. Those who “profess” to be “Christian” are in need of REPENTANCE. May God help us from maligning the Gospel (Good News!) and His Name (Christ Jesus THE LORD) by clothing souls with glitz and glitter and so-called earthly “dignity” (forgetting that Christ was once crowned with CRUELTY, but now with GLORY). We MUST keep ourselves clean and keep the Gospel pure. Therefore, LET US ENDEAVOR TO PRACTICE THE 3 D’s: Dominion — Discipline — Deliverance. Yet the Call, the Command, the Commission is UNMISTAKABLE — “Go ye, therefore, and TEACH ALL NATIONS...” (Matthew 28:19). The goal is stated. I wish to opine specifically to Andy referencing your readers to Mark Potok’s listing of the Aggressive Christianity (Missions Training Corps) here in New Mexico, supposedly as an “identified hate group”. James Green “Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You? And am I not grieved and do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with perfect hatred; they have become my enemies” (Ps. 139:21, 22, Amplified Bible). W E’VE BEEN TAUGHT that to “hate” is a sin. Well, in some instances, it surely is. To carry this thought further, it is also a sin to “love” everything...all the while thinking this is Scriptural. Whoa! This kind of thinking is exactly what has caused “evil” to prevail. Really? Just where do we find this? Not in our Bibles. Back to David’s Psalms DAVID’S LOVE for God provoked him to “hate” those who “speak against You (God) wickedly, and thine enemies take Your name in vain” (139:20). David, in v. 19, calls these enemies of God: “BLOODY MEN.” HE DID NOT DISTINGUISH BETWEEN THE “MEN” AND THEIR “BLOODY DEEDS.” In vss. 21 and 22 we find the normal abhorrence of sins of the wicked by the righteous—ALL who HATE God, and ALL who rebel against Him are to be counted as enemies of the righteous. This still applies in the New Testament (but is accompanied with mercy of course. Nevertheless, we’re to hate sin in any form, yet, today’s Babylonian Churchites embrace what Christ died to free them from). You see, the Old Testament saints had not been trained up like these New Testament (modern, Babylonian) “saints” who say: “Don’t Judge!” HA! Just where do we find this in Scripture? Oh, yeah, in Mat. 7:1, right?: “Do not judge and criticize and condemn others…(let’s finish this though, something that our “Don’t judge!” saints fail to do)...You hypocrite, first get the beam of timber out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the tiny particle out of your brother’s eye” (v. 5, Amp. Bible). So, this “do not judge!” stuff has to do with a hypocritical judgment. Church liberals (rebels!) just love to quote only v. 1, but never quote v. 5. Why? Every Scripture should be read in its full context. Can our “don’t judge” critics be that dumb? It is not that they are that dumb, but hypocritical. In vss. 2-5 it is EVIDENT that v. 1 is referring to hypocritical judgment, the lesson being taught: you should not judge another for his/her sin if you are guilty of the same sin. Duh!! Jesus Advised… “BEWARE of false prophets (or “Christians”), which come to you in sheep’s clothing” (v. 15). Just how are we going to distinguish between the real and the false? BY JUDGMENT! Jesus judged them by their fruits: they were not true prophets, but were fakes or “ravening wolves” (in v. 16 Jesus said: “You will fully recognize them by their fruits [or deeds]).” May the Wicked Perish (139:19-22) THIS PART of David’s prayer (or Psalter) is addressed to the LORD as the foe of the wicked, the searcher of the human heart, and the benefactor of the upright. “Do not I hate them” (v. 21). “I hold their conduct in abomination” could be his thoughts. When we go back to Ps. 7:11, we read: “God judgeth the righteous, and God is ANGRY with the wicked EVERY DAY.” Some scholars believe that this verse had been borrowed from the Chaldee, where the whole verse is as follows: “God is a righteous Judge; and in strength He is angry against the wicked every day.” The Septuagint reads: “God is a righteous Judge, strong and long-suffering; not bringing forth His anger every day.” The Cardmarden reads: “God is a righteous Judge (strong and patient) and God is provoked every day” (this translation, as is said, has borrowed “strong and patient” from the Vulgate). The Geneva version is interesting (printed by Barker, the king’s printer, 1615, translates: “God judgeth the righteous, and him that contemneth God every day.” On which there is this marginal note: “He doth continually call the wicked to repentance, by some signs of His judgments.” Is God ANGRY every day, or not? Some manuscripts say yes, others say no. Looking at v. 12, we read: “If he turn not, He will whet His sword. He hath bent His bow, and made it ready” (most versions read: “If ye return not.” Most scholars agree that vss. 11 and 12 be read together: “God is a just Judge; a God who is provoked every day. If (the sinners) turn not, He will whet His sword; He hath bent His bow, and made it ready” (read v. 13 also). Truth We Read: In Ps. 101:3 we read: “…I hate the work of them that turn aside,” in other words: “I hate the conduct of those who apostatize from the true faith.” Yet, if we dare say such a thing today, the church condemns us as: “hatemongers, unloving, and judgmental”. But even the LORD declared that He hated unrighteousness and loved righteousness: “For the LORD loveth righteousness…” (Ps. 11:7). Again in Ps. 45:7 we read: “thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness…” We read in Ps. 33:5 this: “He loveth righteousness and judgment…” So, why is it such a BIG SIN to point out (judge) the sin/sins of the wicked? Was it RIGHT for Jesus to call names (see Matt. 12 and 23)? ~ I read in Romans 16:17 that we are to MARK them and AVOID them that do not walk in righteousness. ~ I read in Titus 1:13 that we are to REBUKE them that are not sound in the faith. ~ I read in Eph. 5:11 that we are to have NO fellowship with unfruitful works (workers) of darkness, but to REPROVE them. ~ I read in 2 Thes. 3:6 that we are to WITHDRAW from those who walk disorderly (see also 14, 15). ~ I read that we are to TURN AWAY from them that deny the power of God (2 Tim. 3:5-7). ~ I read that we are to REPROVE, REBUKE with doctrine (2 Tim. 4:2). ~ I read that we are NOT to RECEIVE those who do not stand upon true doctrine (2 Jn. 10,11). ~ I read that we are to REJECT HERETICS (Titus 3:10), in which most of today’s ministers ARE! ~ I read that we are to be AWARE of those who speak of another Jesus, are of another spirit and bring another Gospel (2 Cor. 11:4; 11:13; Gal. 1:6-9). ~ I read that we are to SEPARATE ourselves from the UNCLEAN (2 Cor. 6:17). How we are to do all these said things UNLESS WE JUDGE?? Give me a break! In Closing Are we to “help the ungodly, and love those who hate the Lord?” (2 Chron. 19:2). While it is true that we are to LOVE (and we do by presenting the Biblical Gospel—not this phoney Babylonian Jesus Gospel—in order that the wicked REPENT and be saved!), we are also instructed to hate evil works etc. Yet, in this evil generation it is fashionable to love the enemies’ works and hate those who stand with God. Helping the enemies of righteousness is all too common among the Babylonian Jesus crowd…for business advantage, social (GAY) pride, and approval of men etc. All this satanic compromise has not bettered the people of God, but degraded them. Let us stand firm in the faith, loving the lost, but hating their deeds. Preach REPENTANCE LOUD and CLEAR for the Lord’s wrath is kindled. Catalogue of Evil! Gen. James Green “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away” (2 Tim. 3:1-5). E VERY GENERATION, since there has been Bibles in print, has read these verses and thought: “This is speaking of my generation.” It matters not whether the writer was thinking of his generation (the END!), or way down the road—“evil” times and “evil” men will be on the increase. Equally striking and convincing as the “signs” in the social, political, and scientific etc. worlds are those which are given in the Scriptures to take place in the realm of religion. Apostasy (not merely backsliding, but a falling away forever!), and departure from Biblical faith will become a trend. Presented below are various translations: Weymouth (1912) translates this passage as follows: “But of this be assured: in the last days grievous times will set in. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, profane. They will be disobedient to parents, thankless, irreligious, destitute of natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers. They will have no self-control, but will be brutal, opposed to goodness, treacherous, headstrong, self-important. They will love pleasure instead of loving God, and will keep up a make-believe of piety and yet live in defiance of its power. Turn away from people of this sort.” Moffatt (The New Testament, A New Translation) translates it: “Mark this, there are had times coming in the last days. For men will be selfish, fond of money, boastful, haughty, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, irreverent, callous, relentless, scurrilous, dissolute, and savage; they will hate goodness, they will be treacherous, reckless and conceited, preferring pleasure to God—for though they keep up a form of religion, they will have nothing to do with it as a force. Avoid all such.” Fenton (The New Testament in Modern English) puts it thus: “Know this, however, that in the last days there are impending terrible times. For men will be lovers of self, avaricious, empty, pretentious, libelous, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, senseless; without parental affections; implacable, calumniators, profligate, inhuman; without love of goodness, traitors, reckless, stupid, lovers of pleasure more than lover of God; having an appearance of religion, while denying its power; but turn away from these.” Ballantine (The Riverside New Testament) makes it read: “I would have you know this, that in the last days, trying times will come; for people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boasters, haughty, abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, profane, without family affection, relentless, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, haters of God. They will have a form of religion, but will cast off its power. Avoid such people.” And Goodspeed (the New Testament—An American Translation) has this: “Understand this, that in the last days there are going to be hard times. People will be selfish, avaricious, boastful, arrogant, abusive, undutiful, ungrateful, irreverent, unfeeling, irreconcilable, slanderous, with no self-control, brutal, with no love for what I good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, caring more for pleasure than for God, keeping up the forms of religion, but resisting its influence. Avoid such people.” Formalism/Hypocrisy OH, THESE TWO DEMONS literally run today’s church (I include the Roman Catholic church and sects like Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons etc. as well). We are not told to surmise this, or to suppose it, we are told to KNOW IT!, to be ASSURED OF IT!, to MARK IT!, and to UNDERSTAND IT!...such a condition is definitely foretold. All these things are to manifest themselves among church members (true Christians are not included). One of the main “signs” is “a form of godliness” (v. 5). This was evident in Jesus’ day among the “religious”—He called it HYPOCRISY!! In other words they keep up a make-believe piety, and yet live in defiance of its power. They never allow the sword that cuts and the fire that burns near them. Without the slaying and burning (purifying) of the “old man,” hypocrisy will manifest. Look at today’s church for proof. Last Days THEY WILL BE DAYS marked by (polluted by!) ever-increasing wickedness, a collapse of moral standards, and the multiplying of fake, snake, and flake believers. Hello America!!! Both ministers and Churchites have become enemies of the Cross. Churchianity = Zephaniah 3 GEN. DEBORAH was teaching on this chapter this morning (Sept. 10, 2015). I thought to myself: “This sounds like modern Churchianity” (read vss. 1-4). The “people of God” were rebellious and polluted in the days leading up to Christ’s time; He (Jesus) found Jerusalem the same way in which Zephaniah wrote: rebellious, polluted, those who did not listen and heed God’s voice (thru His Prophets), they accepted no correction or instruction, did not trust in the LORD, trusted in her wealth, drew near to Baal or Molech, her officials were wolves, her prophets lacked truth, gravity, and steadiness, they were men of treachery, her priests profaned the sanctuary, and they did violence to the law…(see the Amplified Bible version). When Paul penned 2 Tim. 3:2-5, he probably had Zeph. 3 in mind; PAUL GIVES A LIST OF SINS THAT ALL HAVE THEIR ROOT IN SELF-LOVE (vss. 2-4). Apostate Robert Schuller (deceased) taught that lack of love for oneself is the root of sin!, but apostolic revelation teaches the opposite. This “self-love,” and “self-esteem” is rooted in the devil! Both the minister and the people are spiritually sick and perverted today. Zephaniah said the officials and judges prey like animals (some use the word “wolves,” and others, “bears”); we call them (as did Jesus) “wolves in sheep’s clothing.” Zephaniah described Jerusalem’s prophets as extravagant and treacherous, and her priests are guilty of profanation and lawlessness. He mentions Baal and Chemarim (Zeph. 1:4), swearing by Malcham (v. 5), and he mentions the princes and the king’s children clothed in “strange” (or queer! v. 8) apparel. Zoom to 2015 and we see this is obvious—church folks looking like queer perverts, rap/rock/rave/punk etc. perverts…piercings and tattoos to finish it all off. Vss. 8 and 9 mention 4 things: 1) foreign (queer) attire, 2) leaping over the threshold (a pagan act), 3) violence, and 4) fraud. The “queer” clothes were a sign of disloyalty (with a hint, no doubt of homosexuality/lesbianism). The leaping over the threshold is best explained by 1 Sam. 5:4, 5; it is Philistine practice, not Judaic The Greek Old Testament reads: “all who fill the house of the Lord their God with violence and fraud,” but it is better to understand “house” not to mean the temple, but the palace. The “offices” (sarim) are the princes (Sarah, a feminine form of the word used, means “princess”). For “king’s sins,” the LXX has: “the house of the king,” or “household,” which is equivalent. This conduct of “paganism” is not merely coming from the church goers, but also from the ministers’ children—all today look and act perverted. The List: THE FOLLOWING was complied by Rev. Carlyle B. Haynes of the Review and Herald Publishing Association, 1926: Covetousness “COVETOUS,” “lovers of money,” “fond of money,” “avaricious.” Men today are covetous. Men boast of their skill, of their talents, of their strength, their power, their prowess, even of their criminal excesses, the hearts they have broken, and the virtue they have despoiled. They are willing to give alms only when they can do so amid a flourish of trumpets. Pride “PROUD,” “haughty,” “ pretentious,” “arrogant.” Pride of every kind is prevalent today. There is national pride, political pride, religious pride, and social pride. There is pride in dress, in which honor, reputation, life, and health are sacrificed to fashions originating in the Paris underworld. There is pride of every grade and class. In no previous age have men become so devoted to pride and luxury. Blasphemy “BLASPHEMERS,” “profane,” “abusive,” “libelous.” This word comes from the Greek blasphemeo, meaning “to speak evil of, to slander, to defame, to revile.” In this sense, blasphemy surrounds us today on every side. We hear it in the streets, in the homes, in the stores, in the factories, in the banks, in the offices, in the cars, in the parlors, on the sea, on the land, and in the air. It is printed in the newspapers, magazines, and books. This is an age noted for evil-speaking and blasphemy. Disobedience to Parents “DISOBEDIENT TO PARENTS,” “ undutiful.” Obedient children today are rare. There is a breaking away from parental restrictions, a disregard of all parental authority and control, an open disobedience to parental will. This condition especially marks this age, and in this one respect there has been a vast change in the last half century. The children of our times are old in sin, knowing more iniquity at the age of fifteen than their parents did at thirty. Ingratitude “UNTHANKFUL,” “thankless,” “ungrateful.” This is an age of ingratitude. Men fail to thank God for His goodness, His mercy, His love, and the blessings He sends upon them. Children fail to honor their parents or to give any return for their love and care. Men who may receive a favor today will tomorrow return evil for good. Trusts are betrayed, secrets disclosed, and confidences violated by pretended friends. Unholiness “UNHOLY,” “irreligious,” “irreverent,” “senseless,” “profane.” This is an age of religion so far as profession goes, but there is very little genuine religion, very little holiness, very little reverence. There is a great deal of outward show in the externals of religion, displayed in magnificent church buildings, stained glass windows, mitered priests, lordly clergy, gorgeous furnishings, pompous rituals, stately ceremonies, eloquent preachers, costly organs, highly paid singers, extravagant music, and much pomp and pageantry; but there is very little real holiness and reverence. Very few of the people of God possess the full powers of undefiled manhood and womanhood. Very few are entirely free from the influence of debasing habits, lusts, and appetites. It was God’s purpose that the church should overcome the world, but today the world is overcoming the church. Without Natural Affection “WITHOUT NATURAL AFFECTION,” “destitute of natural affection,” “ callous,” “without parental affections,” “without family affection,” “unfeeling.” This Scripture in fulfilled today. Take the testimony of the abortionist, who grows rich in his hellish work; take the testimony of the vendors of poisons sold to pervert the processes of nature; and take the testimony of the victims of these devilish practices. Then read the accounts of the murder of innocent children because they are not wanted; read the records of divorce cases, the desertions, the killing of aged parents by selfish children, and then judge if this is not an age which is callous, unfeeling, and without natural affection. Implacability “TRUCEBREAKERS,” “unforgiving,” “relentless,” “implacable,” “irreconcilable.” This is an age when very little dependence can he placed in the pledged word of men. Lawsuits over broken contracts clog our legal machinery. Treaties between nations become “mere scraps of paper” when they stand in the way of cherished ambitions. Some men cannot be believed on oath. This is an ago of trucebreaking and implacability. False Accusation “FALSE ACCUSERS,” “slanderers,” “scurrilous,” “calumniators,” “slanderous.” This certainly is a characteristic of the present time. There is a spirit of slander, calumny, detraction, and false accusation abroad in the land, and it seems uncontrollable. Falsehoods run through the earth, multiplied a thousand times by the press. In political campaigns there is too much of misrepresentation, falsehood, and slander. But it is not confined to politics. Profligacy “INCONTINENT,” “dissolute,” “profligate,” “without self-control.” This is an age of moral corruption. Adultery is common; licentiousness is prevalent; illicit love fills the newspapers with tales of “affinities,” “soul mates,” and “crimes of passion;” divorce is increasing at an alarming rate. This results from the whole course of fashionable life today, from the immoral fashions in dress, from lewd theatrical performances, from intemperate habits of eating, from highly seasoned foods, all of which lead to unbridled lust. Fierceness and Brutality “FIERCE,” “brutal,” “savage,” “inhuman.” This is fulfilled in the calamities which nations inflict on each other in their conflicts. Should a visitor from another planet look upon the world’s battlefields and behold the fire of the great guns, see the mangled and broken bodies of the dead and dying, and witness the pain and misery which men deal out to each other, he would think he had lost his way and had reached hell instead of earth. Today there is a spirit of unforgiving, unalterable, unrelenting hatred between nations of men. Hatred and Contempt of Goodness “DESPISERS OF THOSE THAT ARE GOOD,” “opposed to goodness,” “they will hate goodness,” “ without love of goodness,” “haters of good,” “with no love for what is good.” It has been a characteristic of all times that the evil hate the good, but hatred of goodness and the good is a special characteristic of the present age. This chapter in Second Timothy from which we are quoting, also declares that “all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution” (verses 12, 13). And as evil men have become worse and more numerous, so has the hatred of the good increased. Today, as in all previous times, the good suffer persecution. Those who do not serve God, hate and dislike those who do. There are many today who reverence the holy men of old, but for those who live the same sort of lives now, they have nothing but contempt and hatred. There are Christians today who cannot bind their consciences by forms and ceremonies and laws which God never made or authorized, and such men become thereby outcasts and objects of reproach. There are those who will not give their souls into the keeping of some pope or bishop or preacher, but who believe that they must live up to the light which God has given thorn in Christ, knowing that they must give an account of themselves individually to God; and because of this they become a gazing-stock, outcasts from the crowd which follows the way of the majority. And every thing that religious intolerance can do to oppose them, and make their lives miserable, and fence them away from all fellowship and friendship, is done with zeal. Treachery “TRAITORS,” “treacherous.” This is a day when men who can be trusted under all circumstances are very rare. Trusts are accepted only to be betrayed. Cashiers and tellers abscond, trusted officials betray their trusts, and those in charge of the inheritance of widows and orphans manage to take the largest share for themselves, Even the closest friends cannot be trusted. Traitors are on every hand. Recklessness “HEADY,” “headstrong,” “reckless.” This is an age characterized by headstrong, reckless dispositions. Its spirit is that of speed and haste, for when you do not run with the crowd, you get run over. A headlong, feverish rashness prevails among men everywhere. Patience is a virtue long since discarded. Caution, prudence, and wisdom are obsolete virtues; everything must go through with a rush. “The wicked are like the troubled sea...whose waters cast up mire and dirt.” Great questions upon which the destiny of nations may hang are settled too often by wild tumults of popular passion. Haughtiness “HIGH-MINDED,” “self-important,” “conceited,” “stupid.” Men are haughty today and self-sufficient. They are wiser in their own eyes than “seven men that can render a reason.” Youths just out of school suddenly make the astounding discovery that they know more than their elders. No other comment is needed on this expression than to observe a group of them on some corner, surrounded by clouds of cigarette smoke, settling the affairs of the universe with overweening conceit; vainglorious, puffed up, given to criticism of those in high places. This spirit of conceit and self-importance also permeates professed Christian people. Many will not accept the authority of God and the Bible. They place their own opinions above the plain Word of God. No matter how clearly God may speak to them from His Word, they submit only to that degree to which the divine requirement may harmonize with their desires and opinions. Pleasure Lovers And Seekers “LOVERS OF PLEASURES MORE THAN LOVERS OF GOD,” “they will love pleasure instead of loving God,” “preferring pleasure to God,” “caring more for pleasure than for God.” This is an age of amusement and pleasure of every description. Even the churches cannot run without periodical picnics, frolics, and shows. Simple pleasures are no longer sufficient to meet the requirements of this age of speed. There must be something wild, unnatural, exciting, and thrilling. The motion-picture craze has swept all classes from their moorings, and is educating the young in crime and conjugal infidelity. Dr. Hayne’s world was 1926. Zoom up to 2015. I’m sure he would have some things to add. Radio had just come into existence; there were no TV’s, no internet, and even “the motion picture craze” he spoke of was nothing like the vileness/violence that is in today’s movie making. Now whole churches, organizations, and denominations are SIN-CRAZED beyond recognition. Lies, liars, and deceit cover ALL! There is no sin that we can name that can’t be found in and among the church of today. Today’s Churchites live, for the most part, in a MAKE BELIEVE WORLD…believing themselves to be in “grace” when in reality they are “graceless.” Formalism and ceremonialism is the vogue in the more conservative churches; rashness and brashness is of the others…life entirely out-of-harmony with the teachings of Scripture. Pride and rebellion is their “thing.” Easy and Sleazy THIS PRETTY much tells the tale: no spiritual-warfare, no sacrifice, no loyalty, no self-denial—mostly all self-grandeur and high-mindedness (narcissism), not at all devoted to winning souls for Christ, only winning tithes-payers to their churches. Jesus spoke of the religion of His day, and even gave a blistering indictment against it and the leadership (see Mt. 23). One of the indictments was “Ye make clean the outside…but within…full of extortion and excess” (v. 25). In other words, a fair exterior, but a dirty heart! “Good show ole chaps!,” but with hearts that were F-A-R from their God they claimed to know and serve. It was a pretentious religion, lacking the real stuff—very different from that of the true prophets of old; very different from the (future) indomitable, fearless, much-enduring, storm-braving, demon-fighting, militant, aggressive apostolic New Testament days. Wow! what an emasculated church we have today (the males); what a defeminized church we have today (the females). The scribes and Pharisees of Jesus’ day were militant, but not according to the Spirit of God; it was a “religious” spirit. Jesus found it to be irksome, inefficient and uninfluential. We have either a cold and dead formal religion, or the extreme—an arm-swinging, foot-stomping, dirty-dancing, cutting-edge church that is moved by the human spirit (with the help of a few demons!!). Last Days ALL THESE THINGS were predicted by Paul the apostle. As babies grow, so does sin, hence, APOSTATE Churchianity, under an outer pretense of “spirituality.” But amid the mega-begga ministries full of: crosses, altars, images, music, entertainments, e.g., “fun-in-the-Son”— SIN—PREVAILS! Wave after wave, the tides of vanity and rebellion roll on. Many—too many, are weary with it all, longing for the redemptive energy—a divine, eternal rescue. Souls are swept in and out with the tides of religions...abysmally lost in filthy waters therein. Their talismans (cross) offer no help. Their reverberant outcry falls on deaf ears…the fetid waters of religion takes them in and out, year in and year out...lassitude overcomes them…no help from their Judas Iscariot pastors (they are too busy counting the $$ to notice or care). Get Out or Drown! THE SOLUTION to the religious pollution is revolution: GET OUT before you DIE! The same divine energy which saved you, regenerated you, and transformed you (before you became “religious”) is still available. Your “godliness” is but a pretentious form. The religionists of today are perfectly at home in the externals of religion: they are their own “savior,” their own “God,” and they can sin and not be guilty. They rejoice in pompous worship and ecclesiastical ceremonies (if they belong to the conservative camp). The others rejoice in loud rock-rap crap music, dress any ole way, do any ole thing, and call it “Christian.” Can’t tell these creatures apart from the LOST of the world—they ARE LOST! They don’t care if they are blind for their whole religious life is darkness (compared to the light of Scripture). But they have long ago departed from the faith, listening to men/women who have turned the grace of God into lasciviousness, and who have denied the Lord Jesus (Jude 4). What do they believe in? THEMSELVES! Turn Away! WE ARE TOLD TO TURN AWAY from such apostates (2 Tim. 3:5). It is really stupid to tolerate such fools. This does not mean that we don’t pray for them...we do all the time, but we do not fellowship their backsliding for any reason. The church leadership these days is PLAGUED with liberal, recreant, and corrupt reprobates (v. 8) that resist the revealed truth of God’s Word. They prefer THEIR OWN WORDS. I’ve heard both Rick Warren and Joel Osteen say that they know what the Bible says, BUT, they personally don’t agree with it. This increasing apostasy has picked up speed over the last 10 years. Is it any wonder that America is considered SICK by most of the world? This nation could rightly be classified as: * antediluvian, * debased, and * bestial. All one has to do is behold the “gay” (whatever that means!!) parades...PSYCHO through and through. 2 Tim. 3:13 tells us that: “evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse…” Amen! But we, who are not of that sick crowd, are instructed to “continue in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of…” (v. 4). Jesus’ disciples did not learn how to REBEL like HELL! America has grown intellectually dumber and morally worse. This nation is on the brink of disaster. Faith? JESUS ASKED: “...When the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?” (Lk. 18:8). He knew that the END would be marked by apostasy. Paul picked up on this terrible truth when he penned 1 Tim. 4:1: “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith.” Here is shown a DEPARTURE from the true Biblical faith, instead of OBEDIENCE to it (see Paul’s statement in 2 Tim. 4:3,4 where he states the same: “…shall turn away their ears from the truth…”). Peter wrote in 2 Peter 3:3 that there would “come in the last days scoffers.” Jesus said in Mt. 24:12 that: “Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” It is cold outside. I need not go further...you all know the situation: DARKNESS—GROSS DARKNESS covers the land. While Bible reading, study, and preaching is disappearing, it is being replaced with “Political Correctness;” where does one turn? The Holy Spirit is still active. Even though the Bible is our physical guide book, the Holy Spirit is our guide. Mocking of the Bible (which has increased these days) is Satan’s chief means of turning people away from its contents...thus, apostasy. After Paul made his remark in 2 Tim. 4:4, he follows up with “watch in all things” (v. 5); following this he testifies: “I am now ready to be offered (murdered for the truth!)” (v. 6). Are you ready? Red Light Districts THEY COVER this land from shore to shore—houses of prostitution (churches). Thank God there are a few that won’t bow to the pimpization of God’s Word. What is your WHOREDOM Mr./Miss/Mrs./Ms. Churchite? Do you really believe that God accepts you Mr./Mrs./Miss/Ms. Pastor? Do you really believe that the God of Standard is going to accept your prostitutions, your fornications, your adulteries, and your perversions? We have said time after time—over the years—that unless America, and specifically “the church,” did not REPENT of their evil ways, God would use “pink terrorism” to: #1—call His true people OUT of the “Babylonian Jesus” churches, and AWAY from the worship of America (which is idolatry); #2—seal Satan’s people in their evil, damnable ways. It is God who has unleashed gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and question (GLBTQ) terrorism against the church in order to separate His true ones from the snakes, flakes, and fakes CLAIMING to be His. We can truly say this is a “great move of God.” But... AS THE FALLOUT from the Pink Stink Sodomite (PSS) bomb settles over this godless America, things are yet to take their final place. Christians and non-compliant non-Christians can still raise HELL! We expect this. GOD, in Jeremiah 25:9 calls the “pagan” king of Babylon “My servant” (to come against Jerusalem for THEIR SINS). In case you can’t connect the dots, Isaiah 13:3-5 reports: “I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness. The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle. They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.” What do we see here? Verse 3 calls the pagan/idol-worshipping Medes “...My sanctified ones...My mighty ones for mine anger.” You see, after God USED the pagan world power Babylonians to be a weapon against the Hebrews/Jews for their sins, here He calls for their judgment/punishment by the Medes—the Doom of Babylon. Note v. 4: “...the LORD of hosts (armies) mustereth the host of the battle.” The summons to Yahweh’s avenging armies. Note v. 5: “...even the Lord, and the weapons of His indignation, to DESTROY the whole land” (i.e., world-wide empire of Babylon). Now, let’s look at Isa. 10:5: “O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is Mine indignation.” Here we have God sending the idol-worshipping pagans, the Assyrians, against His people Israel ”...an hypocritical nation, and against the people of MY WRATH will I give him (the king) a charge, to take the spoil...prey...to tread them down like the mire (filth!) of the streets” (v. 6). At One Time GOD CALLED Jacob/Israel “My servant” in Isa. 44:21; In 45:1 He calls Cyrus (king of Persia/Medes) His anointed (a title that should have remained with His people, Israel!). Cyrus, unlike Nebuchadrezzar (of Babylon), is going to be used, not for destruction, but deliverance (see v. 4). This king did not know the LORD God (v. 4), but was going to be used by God anyway (for more info. on all this, write for our two magazines “The Wrath of God”—free). It is interesting to note that (Isa. 45:1 “His anointed”), the LXX [Greek Old Testament] and also the Vulgate Bible, Cristo Meo= “My Messiah.” the title follows upon “My shepherd.” The content of these terms is explained in 41:2, 3; 25; 46:11; 48:14, 15. So, the pagan Assyrian monarch in Isa. 10:5 and the pagan Babylonian monarch in Jer. 25:9; 27:6; 43:10, are called by God. Note Isa. 45:2: “I will go before thee”—Yahweh leads, Cyrus follows (the Cyrus cylinder reads thus: “He made him set out on the road to Babylon going at his side like a real friend.” Two primary titles express the election of Israel, “servant” and “chosen one” (41:8; 42:1; 43:10; 44:1, 2; 49:3-6). Yahweh now designates Cyrus with an honorable title (44:5). Cyrus is not aware that he is Yahweh’s agent, or that Yahweh has consecrated, called, equipped, empowered, and sent him on his great historical mission, to set the captives (Israel) free. Now GOD IS USING this whole ugly, perverted, sick, stinking, diseased Homo movement to be a punishment upon the church and this land. But, hopefully His true ones will gather under His government (who are going to receive their share of punishments from God, you can count on it! God will not be mocked!). With Him vs. Against Him! IT ALL BOILS DOWN to this friends—we’re either going to stand for God/Jesus/the Holy Bible or with this sick/Satanic/pro-abortion/pro-sodomite government. Get off the fence! Jesus WARNED His backslidden people in JerUSAlem that: “...those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and SLAY THEM before Me” (Lk. 19:27). His admonition, in way of a parable, was to “occupy till I come” (Lk. 19:13). The parable of the pounds illustrates that each redeemed believer has the responsibility to use faithfully what the LORD has given him/her. Each one of us has been given the chance, the time, and the means to LIVE for Christ by Word and deed. Sadly, in this generation (and several gone by), believers have OCCUPIED themselves in the things of this world. They DID NOT want Christ to RULE OVER THEM! So, don’t try to convince me, you soft-bellied, pablum-eating sissies called “Christian,” that Jesus would never be wrathful against HIS own people. The racial Jews have never forgot Jesus’ words: “...SLAY THEM before Me,” which literally happened between 66 AD and 72 AD. America is at this crossroad now. WAR “PINK TERRORISM” is now upon the land, sanctioned by the US gov. And if America fails to repent sufficiently, God will unleash Islamic Terrorism upon the land. America has already been divided into 3 groups by the QUEER government, who has specific goals for each group: 1—those who, like this community, oppose the GLBTQ agenda (isolate and silence if possible); 2—those who are undecided about GLBTQ (desensitize, join, and convert); 3—those GLBTQ friendly (mobilize). If we here are “homophobic,” they (GLBTQ) are “heterophobic.” I say, REPENT or PERISH! Homosexuals are NOT VICTIMS!, they CHOOSE their medicine. Texas focused on the next milestone in the Homo movement: same-sex “marriage.” Well, this is history (as we have told you it would be). Next is the trans battle, and the child-sex battle. They are coming. Really, I don’t give a darn if Joe and Jerry marry. I only care that they know what the Bible says on this GLBTQ stuff. We have been sharing this for over 44 years now. Who cares about “homo love.” The issue is not “love,” or “marriage”; it is about “power”...power over the Christian stand on sexuality. It is not even the search for stability and exclusivity in a homo relationship—it is about ACQUIRING a powerful psychological WEAPON to CHANGE society’s REJECTION of their vileness into, hopefully, a gradual acceptance. We have worked with, prayed for GLBTQ people ever since we’ve been believers. But to claim—as they now do—that homosexuality is no more of a sin than any other sin is flat denial of Scripture. Both hetero/homo sex-sins had (and still do have) a death penalty attached to them. Other sins mentioned do not. What this movement wishes to do—with a little help of the U.S. gov/liberal churches, is make the IMMORAL moral. Actually, it can rightly be called a “moral revolution” (subversive of course). But if one looks at the 45 GOALS OF THE COMMUNIST PARTY IN AMERICA, put into the Congressional Record (Jn. 10, 1963 by the Hon. A.S. Herlong Jr. who opposed Communism), one will see that goal 24, 25, and 26 attack Biblical morality. While Attorney General Eric Holder was sent to Paris for meetings, he did not attend the rally. Was Eric Holder even the appropriate person to send in the first place? Where was Barack Obama linking arms with world leaders? Where was Vice President Joe Biden? Where was Secretary of State John Kerry? Barack Obama was allegedly watching football on Sunday instead of standing up to radical Islamic terrorism. Nothing was listed on his official White House schedule on Sunday. The United States government sent more representatives to the funeral for Michael Brown than it did to Paris to stand up against terrorism. Talk about a stunning statement of priorities. Obama's absence is making headlines. As the leader of the free world and a Nobel Peace Prize recipient, this would be the time to lead the world towards greater peace and stand up for freedom in the face of terrorism. Either Obama simply doesn't think it is important or he didn't want to take the chance that his presence would provoke backlash. Either way, it is very dangerous. Our own national security is at risk by his unwillingness to call the enemy what it is and to combat it head-on. Our allies should be weary of our willingness to stand up for human rights and support them in their own efforts to combat terrorism. This isn't the first time Obama has missed the mark. The day after the terrorist attack in Benghazi that left four Americans dead, including ambassador Chris Stevens, Obama made a statement and then jetted off to Las Vegas for a fund-raiser. Also, Obama recently thought it was appropriate to make a statement about the ISIS beheading of James Foley and minutes later hit the golf course. Attempting to mitigate the PR damage, Secretary of State John Kerry has since announced that he will go to Paris. He called the criticism over the tack of U.S. support at the rally "quibbling." The White House also announced that it will hold a "Summit on Countering Violent Extremism" in February. But what's missing from that title? Perhaps the words ‘radical,’ ‘Islamic,’ or ‘terrorism?’" Sean Hannity W HILE THE Charlie Hebdo and the Kosher deli attacks made BIG headlines (and they should have!), what about the deadly assault by Muslim militants that killed hundreds of civilians in Nigeria—this massacre happened around the same time. Where is the outcry when a 10 year old girl was used as a human bomb (that alone killed over a dozen people!)? In late 1963, I arrived from Kentucky to live a few blocks away from San Jose State college (California). Deborah, being a California native, attended Sacramento State College. We both can testify that these places are where we got introduced into what is now termed "Culture Communism." She suggested "a nationwide student-faculty strike to protest the Vietnam War”). She was active in 1964 at the University of California at Berkeley. Actually, there were many college/university movements in those years (I used to go to Berkeley, and other places, in the late 1960's). The Young Socialist Alliance (YSA) supported the Marxist-Leninist theories (SDS being the major one who had the Weatherman or Revolutionary Youth Movement 1 (RYM 1); the Progressive Labor Party—Worker-Student Alliance (PLP); the Revolutionary Youth Movement 2 (RYM 2); the Trotskyite groups: 1) Young Socialist Alliance; 2) Youth Against War and Fascism; 3) Johnson-Forrest Group; 4) Sparticist League. Then you have, as already mentioned, the Communist Party USA and its youth group, the Du Bois clubs of America along with Independents (radicals who opposed the Vietnam war, and the establishment, but who did not endorse open revolution. There was the Black Panther Party (BPP-Communist), Student National Coordinating Committee (SNCC), Black Student Unions (BSU), Revolutionary Action Movement (RAM), Republic of New Africa (RNA), Youth International Party (hippies/yippies), dozens and dozens of free lancers like National Committee to End the War ("Now Mobe"), Student Mobilization Committee to End the War ("Student Mobe"), and union organizations etc. A big name on campus was Herbert Marcuse (University of California at San Diego who advocated free love). Been there, and done that too. LSD was outlawed on Oct. 6th, 1966, so it went underground. The "trips" and "trippers" became all part of the ever-growing 60's movement. Kesey added the Grateful Dead (I myself became a 'dead head') to his experience (Jerry Garcia died in a drug rehab on Aug. 9, 1995). The Grateful Dead were a rock/blues band who used light shows at their "rock dances," which changed the audiences sensory environment. This became the norm as time passed by. To add more color, the trippers (on LSD and whatever?) painted themselves in fluorescent tones and psychedelic dress all of its own. Actually, there was a psychedelic community in the late 50's (using hallucinatory peyote that the Native Americans used [cactus buds]). Then came mescaline (1958), the synthetic psychedelic drug. Now "turn-ons" could be manufactured. LSD arrived supposedly in 1961-62, and became a "happening" in the Bay area in 1964. Haight-Ashbury (in San. Francisco, CA) became the West Coast hippie mecca. I remember trying to get from one end of the block to the other: so packed with human beings that one could hardly breathe. Been there, and done that too. And Druggies I witnessed drug freaks dying and Jesus freaks preaching…the "scene" pulsating with rock music, incense, and incessant noise of every kind. The smell of pot (marijuana) filled the air. It was pot and music mostly that galvanized the hippie happening. Drug song music took control. Then there were the Golden Gate Park "be-ins" and "Freebees" (geographically parallel to Haight street (the 5th Avenue of hippiedom—so-called). The West Coast bands played concerts here, usually free. Been there, and done that too. But time moved on…the Haight-Asbury scene died out. Trippers moved on elsewhere. We were part of this moving on. The movement had its martyrs—thankfully, we survived to be born again. Here we are 43 years older, and we have taken Jesus around the world several times plus. NOW WE ARE EMBARKING UPON A PROFOUND ENDEAVOR—REPENTANCE REVOLUTION. God is calling any and all to COME to Him. We were the most unlikely to answer His call back then. We have absolutely NO SYMPATHY for the devil (opposite of a song by the Rolling Stones). Time For Revolution! The cultural and political explosions of the 60's made way for the Death of America. Men and women in this generation strive almost effortlessly (it seems) and endlessly, to get bigger and better stuff and things. They strive to get richer, but in reality, they are not happier. Time is ripe for another "CULTURE REVOLUTION"…bringing Christ back into all spectrums of a godless society. How much more sex and permissive living does American/the whole world need? This nation is choking on extravagant lifestyles, emotional ups and downs, and demonic insensibilities. The 60's "blew their minds"; now we implode our minds to a point of no return. Now, the majority of Americans are on pharmaceutical combines. Is it any wonder that murder reigns? I can tell you that even in my most euphoric moments as a hippie, I knew that a day of reckoning drew nigh. I was a backslider. I also knew intrinsically that our cultural liberation would cause much trouble down the road. But for the moment, rebellion was adventurous and exciting. The days of fervid lostness seemed natural. After all, America was WRONG; I was RIGHT!! Life away from God was full of "flash" and "trash," a real short cut to Hell if I had died. How many megalomaniacal souls are lost in lostness? Marx once said, "the bourgeoisie create a whole world—even its opponents—in its image." We helped create a monster—a monster that continues to grow. One ex-revolutionary said: "Any viable past 60's radicalist is going to have to accept that fact and build on the self-awareness it brings." Amen! Really now, for all their riotous rhetoric (and deeds) what good has come forth? Maybe some, but mostly not-so-good. We have a culture of narcissism, a culture of diabolism, a culture of nihilism, a culture of legal drug addicts and sex perverts, a culture of Christless Churchianity—a culture of full-blown personification of evil. Noble virtues are discarded and replaced with baseness and cynicism: the ULTIMATE NOTHINGNESS as far as righteousness goes. America has reintroduced and re-established the BANALITY of evil. A New End — CHANGE The END came for the 1960's…different endings for different people from that era that are crystallized in its mentality. Not all was bad, but one thing is sure: those years made a profound turning point for America. I know for a fact that even today there are multitudes that are weary of these times. They await CHANGE, not a man-made change, but a God made one. This nation that HAD “IT THEIR WAY!!” is full of languid people who can do nothing but over-eat and grow fatter. I offer a CHANGE—get off your behinds and get to the frontlines. There's a WAR ON! The war for lost souls faces every generation. I know and am thankful that someone prayed for us in our lost state. Too many of today’s “Church” leaders remind me of Herbert Marcuse (former Professor at University of California at SanDiego) and Ken Kesey (originator of Merry Pranksters; the novelist turned psychedelic). Marcuse’s philosophy was “don’t repress your sex desires any longer—just do it!” Kesey’s was the Alice in Wonderland philosophy—creativity through LSD, build your very own psychedelic world, sex and fun! Pastors and educators drop “spiritual” LSD into your minds like Merry Pranksters, turning you on to a make-believe world (unlike what God’s word teaches and allows). Timothy Leary, that self-styled drug guru, was the master mind behind the Lysergic Acid Diethylamide for luminares; Kesey was the “Trip-master”, Ken Babbs was auxiliary Chief when Ken Kesey was in jail or incommunicado. Kesey’s Intrepid Trips, Inc. gave him some clout...until he “turned on” (against) the whole psychedelic scene, to reform it (Some believe this was done to beat a jail sentence). Both elements - sexual utopia and sexual fantasy - are all part of today’s sleazy church scene. High on the BIG LIE: “You can have your best life now!”.... “We accept homos/lesbians...and I’m sure the transgenders will fit in also.” Rock N’ Roll is all part of the show, light shows and all. Church leaders are no better (Osteen and Warren are a good case and point). So, to end this article, we do not need another church revival. We need an authentic and radical, aggressive, militant (in Spirit) REPENTANCE REVOLUTION! Check your appetite: “Am I hungry for a real, lasting change that only Christ can bring, or am I just hungry for a little change—not too much whereby my whole life will be changed?” When we received Christ back in 1971, we faced this.
